Is there any help out there for itchy legs? I have been reading about other people suffering with symptoms like mine. It doesn't sound very encouraging. I have been suffering for several years now. I've tried different lotions but nothing seems to help. Mine seems to be worse during the winter when I have to wear long pants. There is no rash to be seen but I have to scratch sometimes making my legs bleed. It keeps me awake at night.
Hello, a few years ago I had a microscopic parasite that made my legs itchy so when it happened again I went to my Doctor but he told me there were no holes so it was probably an allergic reaction, he gave me a cream that helped a little but didn't stop it.
I searched the net and someone said it might be due to something in bread so I stopped eating bread, then I stopped cakes and even schnitzel and crumbed fish, this did help but I still had it sometimes.
My legs have been itchy every day since i was born. im 21 and i have always had itchy legs. when i was younger my family would all scream at me as once i started i couldnt seem to stop. the itching gets so bad that it annoys you and fustrates you and it becomes painfull.
My dad used to smack my legs where it was itching and it used to help but it didnt last too long only for about 5-10 mins and i would be scratching again.
Im glad Im not the only one with "itchy" legs. I have had "itchy" legs for years. I have been told it was all in my head. And have tired almost everything for dry itchy skin. Its mostly my lower legs, the front and side. Sometimes its my upper leg. When they itch, it feels like they are itchy from the bones. I end up itching them so much that I tear my legs open, and usually get a faint scar. They seem dry usually, but are as smooth and soft as my hands are.
All my life I can recall going to bed, and often having extremely itchy legs; especially around the sides of my knees. When I was younger I would wake up in the middle of the night with such a strong urge to itch that I would sometime use a blade from a pair of scissors to relieve the itching, which often made my legs bleed. Even now, sometimes during the day if I'm out my legs can get so itchy I have to find a bathroom to itch my legs as the feeling is so insatiable.
16 weeks pregnant and today my legs have been non stop itching to the point im making them bleed. Any one else have this? Have tried moisterising but doesnt seem to be working. Driving me crazy!

Same thing happened to me. I mentioned it to midwife and that the itching was worse at night. She drew blood and I had elevated liver bile acid levels. She then gave me medication that I have to take twice a day as well as herbal detox drops for the liver. The condition is obstetric cholestasis and you only get it in pregnancy.. It ***** but, goes away after.
I started when I went to a beach trip in may with a group of friends and on the last day I thought I had bug bites in the back of my leg near my knees. Then the next day IT started spreading like wild fire all over my legs, and my lower back. When I got home I went to the doctors and they said it looked like an allergic reaction to something but they didn't know what.They gave me these steriods to take which i did and this cream.
Okay, so every time I shave, my legs get crazy itchy almost the moment I get out of the shower. The itching lasts anywhere from a day to three or four days, and as far as I can see, there are no bumps involved. The itching is so bad that I've made myself bleed before, and my skin is frequently raw. I've tried using hair removers, sensitive skin shaving cream, and lotion afterward. So far, nothing has worked, and it seems to get worse as time passes. What can I do to stop it?
hi everyone, my little sister has been having uncontrolable itching and its staring ti bleed sometimes too. shes only 12 and she had this for about a year and it has never been this bad, the doctor said its from eating sugar but she hasnt been eating sugar and it is insanly REDD they gave her some lotion to get rid of the swelling but it is an anti itch cream that only gets rid of the itching not the swelling and the redness.
Hi, Im a 23 year old female for the last three years i have been suffering with really itchy arms and lower legs. The itching is so intense i make myself bleed from scratching.there is also red bumps which turn into little scabs from scratching...I have been to numerous doctors and i have no answers. i have been treated for scabies which i didnt have also im not allergic to gluteen as i was tested for this also and i have been on several different steroid creams and nothing works....
hey... umm.. i'm 18 now and have been getting severely itchy legs for about 3-4 years... when I went to the doctor they told me it was hormonal and it would be gone within a few months... they also said to use lots of moisturiser on my legs.... I'm always self conscious about my legs... since the itching started because of the marks the scratches leave... I had my mum stressing about me thinking that I was cutting myself on my legs...
s disease but it is in remission. I have had really itchy legs for about 2 years. Not sure if this is started when I was pregnant 2 yrs ago or if just is happening as I get older. My legs itch all the time and are worse after I shave. I have tried vrious creams, natural shave creams, not shaving and nothing helps. Heavy creams just make my legs break out. I believe it is something internal, possibly related to crohn's (an immune system response) or a deficiency in vitamins or minerals.
