Itchy hands redness

Common Questions and Answers about Itchy hands redness

itchy

Hi, I have had itchy hands for two days now. I have had this once before and I attributed it to the gloves I wear at work. I had to get different gloves, which I though helped. Well, it went away for a year or so and yesterday it started back up again. I also went back to the original gloves and hadn't had a problem for a while until yesterday. It's not my palms, it's the tops of my hands. I always wash my hands at work (I'm an er nurse), and try to put lotion.
After a couple more days (it's been 4 days now), my legs and arms started to itch too! Though there wasn't any redness on any of my abrasions, like on my hands, but they are breaking out! I don't understand the problem... maybe it was just a reaction from the sun or spending a lot more energy and stress than usual. Any thoughts?
My 3yr old daughter developed a itchy blotchy red rash on her hands along with a few little raised red bumps. Then where her arms bends she developed a bumpy red rash. Then 2 days ago she seems to have the blotchy red rash on her feet. I have taken her to the doctor and they said it is not hand foot and mouth. They think it's eczema. However, the entire family seems to have this sore hand symptom with some bumps but not the redness or blotchy areas.
The hives finally stopped for a 24 hour period, to be replaced with severely itchy feet, ankles and hands (but no hives). Is it possible I am still reacting from the bee sting or is this only coincidental? Is the itchy feet and hands related to the cause of hives? Thanks!!!!
This episodes can be triggered by standing too long (feet/ankles become bright red/swollen/start burning), from being exposed to heat from the sun (not sunburn), having a shower (causes my feet, ankles and upper knees to become bright red and swollen) If I am sitting around in hot weather it can also trigger the redness and swelling.
Looking all over my hands they are all over. It's not like a rash, there's no redness except when I've scratched, the bumps aren't red, they are skin colored - it just looks like little fever blisters or something. When they break they are just filled w/ clear fluid and stop itching. They seem to itch more when my hands are warm (my hands are ususally cold - I have raynauds) like while I'm watching tv all covered up. Actually it started a few weeks ago w/ my big toe on top.
I get the extremely itchy hands and the small blisters with clear fluid and my hands crack and get so dried out and hot water makes it worse and it started about 3 years ago just out of nowhere i have figured out that when I use hand soap from a restaurant my hands break out so I try to stay away from using it but I messed up and used the soap at wendys last night and now I am paying for it my hands will not calm down nothing seems to help anybody have any suggestions
it's not painful to urinate but it gets itchy at times. also two days ago blisters have being showing in my hands and on my feet. are these symptoms of an STD? what should i do?
When my hands are exposed to the cold they turn red and become swollen, sore and itchy. It's very much like an allergic reaction. In fact, the first time this happened I thought it was a reaction to some soap I had used. I was outside without gloves in 34 degree weather this morning for about 20 minutes. My hands had a reaction after about 10 minutes. I've always had cold hands and feet, but this is only the second time I've had this sort of reaction. I'm a 57 year old female.
Hi Doc, Since the past 6 months, at any time during the day or night, small patches of red bumps like prickly heat, appear on my legs, hands, back, buttock which itch like crazy and after 15 minutes or so, disappears on its own. I understand that taking an allergy test (blood test) will be misleading. I also have a Golden Retriever Dog which is at home with me 24x7. I dont have carpets or other such things at home to cause the allergy.
I recently had very dry, red, itchy patches on my chin, by my ears and down my neck. I went to my dermo and he gave me hydrocortisone valerate to use for two weeks and told me to stop using my differin for the time being.
If I wasn't aggressive in putting the lotion on it, it would even get so dry that there were small cuts in the skin and some bleeding (like if your hands get too dry in the winter, sometimes they can crack). The redness began to spread upward and encompassed my entire sack, and slightly above. The skin would also get flaky. Anyway, about 3 months ago, it was so bad, I looked it up on the internet and first heard of jock itch. So, I made a trip to CVS and bought some Lamisil.
Dear doctor, The skin around my scrotum is red and itchy(very little) from the past two months. My doctor pescribed Clotrimazole & Betamethasosome Dipropionate cream twice daily , levocetrizine at night. But this redness comes back again and again. On the application of the medicine it goes away, but as the course of the medicine completes , after one or two days it again comes back. Please Help. Thank you, Jeet.

The one cheek still feels itchy irritation at times but the redness is still controlled. please let me know what happens.
Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis, sweat dermatitis, fungal infection or intertrigo. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).
I am having severe itching in my left palm. Its soo itchy that i feel like tearing the skin out of the palm. I am currently writing from New Jersey, US. I am using betnovate-C, but it doesn't seem to be helping me. Someone please let me know what could be the reason and what i can do. Since medical help is extremely costly here in US, i cant afford to go to doctor either.

I HAVE ITCHY BUMPS IN THE PALM OF MY HAND. THEY APPEAR EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, AND CAN BE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I'VE BEEN GETTING THEM SINCE I WAS A TEENAGER. BEFORE THEY USED TO APPEAR AROUND MY HEELS, BUT NOW THEY ONLY APPEAR ON MY HANDS. THEY HAVE CLEAR LIQUID INSIDE AND THEY ITCH A LOT!, THEY ARE A LITTLE RED AND IF I LOOK CLOSE ENOUGH THEY LOOK LIKE THERE'S A BUNCH OF TINY BUBBLES OF WATER INSIDE AND RIGHT BESIDE EACH OTHER. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THEY ARE AND HOW TO GET RID OF THEM?
The rash is red and sometimes itchy but is in the exact same spot on both hands. It's been there for a little more than a week. Two days ago I started putting a cream on them to help go away. I noticed another area near my pinky where it's beginning to turn red. Should I be concerned or do you think it may be from washing my hands too much? It looks like the cream is helping the redness go away so I'm hoping it is nothing. I've shown a few people and they say it could be from dry skin??
I first noticed it in my hands, that a joint would seem itchy, but scratching didn't help. After a while I realized that it was a precursor to, or concurrent to my joints being inflamed. Just wondering how common this is, and if anyone knows the name for it. Also, out of curiosity, if you have experienced this, what autoimmune disease do you have.
I don't have it all the time, and no one would really notice unless they specifically looked at my hands and saw the redness. Haven't been able to pinpoint exactly what this is and wondering if anyone knows. Help is appreciated! Thank!
I took him to his mother's clinic doctor cause he is always pulling and kinda of scrathing at his butt. I ask him what is a matter and he says it itchy. So I check to make sure he was cleaning himself good and it was..he wears loose clothing..it is not red around the anus or sore looking...but he is constantly pulling at his butt. The clinic doctor look at him and said he did not see any redness or anything and listened to his bowels.
