For about 5 days now he has had these red, itchy, blotches on only the inside of his hands. There's no bumps or blisters, just red, itchy blotches that are a little bit swollen. He touches everybody and all of him. It hasn't spread to anyone, or any ware else on him. We've put prescription cortisone creme on it and roll on benadryl. It starts to kinda' go away, but then just comes right back. What is it, and what should we do???

Hi, What it is, I went out in the sun a week ago and I started itching on my knees, I didnt think anything of it until my arms started to itch and I noticed I had red blotches on my arms, wrists, hands, torso, legs, feet and now has gone to my face. They get itchy but not all the time. I have a couple of sores on my lips and my skin is throbbing. Maybe an allergic reaction?? I work as a care assistant so I can not go into work until the rash/blotches have gone.

I woke up with hives the past three days and now when I wake up it is red blotches and they do not itch only around my hands. I have them more on my legs but some by th arm and arm pits and some on my butt. It is very ignoring and the last time I check with my doctor my blood count was low. i started getting these red blotches on my arms and hands more frequently lately,ive had them before but the werent to the point they are now. They vary in size,there itchy and seem to throw off heat and have an irratating burning feeling to them,some of them seem that they are a bit raised from the skin,and if there is alot on one arm the whole arm seems to ache. I have no idea what they are! but they are driving me crazy! i have a picture but i guess i cant post it...

Hi, I have recently developed a red blotch/patch on my abdomen, to the left-hand side. It's not itchy or painful in any way. Generally, it flares up vivid red when I'm in the shower and just after. Then it tends to fade a little to a kind of dark red/brown. It's perhaps around 4cm by 3cm in size. Sure enough my skin is somewhat itchy as well, not much in the way of the red blotches. It does feels like it can manifest into something bigger at any time. I don't scratch in fear that may make it worse. Also, my ears and earlobes are very red as well as itchy and remained that way the entire week. Is there a relation to the red blotchy skin and burning stomach? Looking for some help.

I scratched it and it went away, in the morning my backside and stomach had pink blotches where my skin would itchy and i coulndt help but scratch. later that afternoon my scalp was itching like crazy and i though i had lice, but i didnt. I took a shower and it went away. These last 3 weeks my skin out of nowhere starts to itchy and it forms long bumps that look like scrathc marks on my skin, and they turn red. But i dont scratch anymore !!

It is very itchy and once i scratch it alot, red blotches appear. The only thing that feels good is to burn my hands under hot water or heat. Please help me!

I have had problems with the palms of my hands for about a month and a half now. Started out with itchy, red blotches, now my palms are just itchy, peeling, and look striated. A little better, but no great improvement. Have tried everything over the counter, except for cortisone products. Can a deep burn cause these types of symptoms, and for so long? I had worked a part-time job at a mexican fast food restaurant. I stopped working there a week or so before these symptoms began.

there is a similar patch symmetrically on the other side (on edge of my buttocks where thigh [red blotch] and buttocks meet) and a much larger patch on my perineum all the way back to the bottom of my anus. It's small raised red gots and feels like small blisters on the side of my fingers! It's soooooo sore and itchy, sometimes feel like a burning sensation! I got a cream on sat for it but wasn't clearing up so yesterday I got CHLORPHENAMINE tabs and dermovate cream still not helping! I thought it could be due to wearing latex gloves (allergic contact dermatitis) but today I noticed raised red blotches on my elbows! My girlfriend has "itchy red spots" on her thighs, stomach, arms, upper back and occasionally on her hands. All of the symptoms on here sound so familiar, but she doesn't have bed bugs, nor does she have scabies, as she has been treated numerous times for this. She does have Grave's disease, but nobody seems to think the two are related. She is very clean, and relatively healthy. As with most everyone on here, they seem to get worse at night.

Only on the palms of my hands at the creases on the skin, elbows, a few around the heels and ball of my feet, and scrotum. (So they are only on extremities). I haven't eaten anything odd lately, or used any unusual products or new things, so I don't think its an allergy to something unusual. hi, i dont think its eczema. it isnt itchy. there are red spots on my hand, arms(by the elbo, inside) and on my abdominal area and back. there is more rash on my abdominal right then there is on my left. i was treated with a fungal medication, lotion and that didnt seem to work. I was given prednisone, and that too did not work. I had two biopsy's done, and i still havent gotten the results.

And I thought the bumps on face were something unrelated. About same time I had ithcy red bumps on arms (about 3 red itchy bumps per arm). About a month(no more than) after I got home to NJ I went to see a dermatologist, because the bumps on face were not totally going away. They were red and ITCHY! no pus. I would put camomile lotion on at night and even take antihistamine. I put neosporin on and cleaned with alcohol. Wash face daily with Cetaphil(didn't use while in AZ).

She is 83 and in relatively good health. She has also just recently broken out with itchy red spots here and there on her arms and hands.

UPON OBSERVATION OF SAID HYPO I NOTICED THAT IT DID HAVE LIQUID IN IT OBVIOUSLY THE DRUG THAT HE WAS SHOOTING INTO HIS VEINS...ALSO THERE WAS A FAINT REDDISH BLOTCH INSIDE THE NEEDLE THAT, OBVIOUSLY WAS THE PERPS BLOOD, MIXED IN THIS CONCOCTION. THE PERP WAS DEFINITELY HIV/AIDS POS BECAUSE HE DID STATE IT TO ME. A DAY OR TWO LATER I WENT TO MY DOC AND GOT TESTED. IT CAME BACK NEG. I TESTED ONCE MORE A FEW WEEKS LATER AND IT CAME BACK NEG ONCE AGAIN.

They start off rather itchy, and then they just turn red and swell a bit, and once the swelling begins, they're usually not itchy. I thought it was athlete's foot on the hand at first, because I wear gloves at work for hours on end.

Within the last year, it has spread to the backside of my hand, but in a different form. This looks more like poison ivy (I think) but is just an itchy red rash. My hand is VERY swollen from this. Hi, about a week ago my right hand became swollen on the fingers and spawned red blotches of varying sizes on the fingers between the knuckles of the phalanges. The blotches are itchy and provide some resistance to clenching a fist though not preventing it. There is some mild itching on the meta-carpel knuckles. It seems odd that it is only on 1 hand.

Now since then i have been really stressed and worrying that i may have an STD even though it had came back negative (i had read other threads on the internet you see).

it also happens when i get nerves or embarrassed, im 17 and i am of mixed ethnicity's (white, and black) i get red blotches everywhere and it bothers my hands neck and back most i also et headaches f this occurs long enough

These patches are not raised but appear as red blotches in the skin. The Rash appeared to come and go but each time it comes back stronger and harder. My doctor put me on Prednisone, Zopliclone and Hydroxyzine. He does not know what is causing the rash. I am getting a better sleep but still wake up middle of night with itchy burning hands. If I go off the drugs all the symptons return.
