It has been driving me insane I Google itchy hands and feet while pregnant and a condition popped up obstetric cholestasis or OC I'm concerned because I have a 6 year old and was also extremely itchy with him but never thought to mention it. I meet with my doctor next week and I plan know discussing this with her what I've found about OC is its your liver stops filtering.properly and bile spills in your blood stream.
Burning skin... (I've had itchy burning hands and soles of my feet) First, I'd spend the money on CeraVe' Soap, it's at the drug store, for your hands and the shower... Also, a 24 hour antihistamine, Allegra is the best then Zyrtec then Clariton, take any of the 3 that you can tolerate. Also, stay out of the heat, bright light bulbs, cover your self with a light shirt and pants.... a hat but you do not need to get heated like sweating....
ive read about the soles of your feet and the palms of your hands becoming splotchy red and itchy while pregnant but mine are strictly the tops. I dont have a rash of hives or anything...the only bumps and cuts on them are from me scratching so much. I initially thought it must be from my feet and hands swelling due to all my water retention...but ive been having issues with the water retention for quite sometime and this itchiness just appeared out of nowhere...
Okay so im currently 13 weeks pregnant and its not severe yet but im curious if anyone else is having this issue. I've been pretty itchy for a few weeks now. I never had any of these problems until i had a baby so I've been blaming all this on my body changing. I have an appointment with gastro in three weeks but in the meantime, I'm freaking out.

I put the steriod creams all over my feet, then maxi pads to absord all the large amounts of fluid. Hands are still getting the steroid creams, very itchy and small open blister patches still! I am finally being referred to UAB in Birmingham where I hope to get some answers on real diagnosis and/or treatment. It is Feb. 4th 2002 and I am still in the episode that erupted over Christmas and still limp from still peeling/raw feet. I was put on Keflex 500mg 2x/day for 10 days.
Hello, I am a 23 yr old female. I've been married for 4 yrs. I am 11 wks pregnant with my second child. About 3 weeks ago on a Tuesday I started taking ampicillin for an abscess under my arm. The day after (Wednesday) I started taking the ampicillin the palms of my hands and the top of my feet were extremely itchy. I called my gyno and he said that it wasn't an allergic reaction, to take benadryl and it would help the itching.
I suffer from the same itchy hands, I have had this problem for about 20 years but I have never known what it was called...the itching lasts for about thirty minutes but the good thing is that the itching is infrequent and may happen only once a month or less, but when the itching does occur is relentless, I find myself running hot water over my hands, banging my hands against the walls or furniture, scratching with a hairbrush...It is absolutely horrible!!....
If i raise my hands above my head the redness will dissapear in seconds and they are not as hot anymore, but if i leave my hands by my sides I can just feel the blood rushing to my hands and turn beat red. Also my hands and feet will be very cold in the winter and sometimes turn blue or even red when they are very cold. It has gotten worse this winter and I don't understand why it happens or what i can do.
