Psoriasis, in addition to a rash on the skin, often displays changes on the fingernails or toenails of the affected hands and/or feet and is associated with sharp, round borders, while irritant or allergic dermatitis may have less-defined borders or involve only the skin of the hands or feet. Allergic contact dermatitis will sometimes clearly follow the pattern of recently acquired shoes or sandals.
The hives finally stopped for a 24 hour period, to be replaced with severely itchy feet, ankles and hands (but no hives). Is it possible I am still reacting from the bee sting or is this only coincidental? Is the itchy feet and hands related to the cause of hives? Thanks!!!!
Does anyone have a nail issue also? After I got this itch problem my fingernails got infected and 4 doctors I have been to don't know what it is or how to treat it.
he had no idea what it was apart from a feeling that it was hand foot and mouth and just said to rest, and it eventually went away. i think the small rash part on my foreskin was just due to my sensitive skin and was unrelated. my main concern is now i have developed a brown discoloration on my leg, a large patch, like this - http://www.ispub.
I've been going nuts with itchy hands and feet for days now I just started doing, and using whatever I could to help me.. I looked on these forums and had no luck.. Here's what is working now for me.. I soak my hands and feet several times a day in ice cold, and very hot water then I apply icy hot although it doesn't make the itch stop completely it definately makes it tolerable.
If I do any physical activity my hands and feet will turn very red and be very hot and I can feel the heat radiating off my hands and feet. If I am outside and the weather is hot and I am wearing flipflops my feet will get beat red and so will my hands. I dont feel any pain but it is uncomfortable because i can feel something happening in my feet and even my legs. If i take a hot shower my feet and legs become beat red and my legs get blue even and I dont know why.
However after using ketoconazole 2% cream that was prescribed by a nurse practitioner, I have had no relief. In fact the rash has now spread to the sides/soles of my feet and now has started on my hands, on the base of my hands and now between my fingers. If anyone has any info please help! The itch is driving me crazy!!
I also do not have the rash in all the most common areas for scabies which are the hands (especially b/t the fingers, the elbows, the knees, the armpits, and the ankles and feet.) Also, the rash tends to disappear if I don't scratch. However, I have considered being treated for scabies anyway just to rule it out.
Plus, it just suddenly starts itching and then will just suddenly go away. and it's always just my feet and hands, and it will almost always be at the same time. It also seems to just happen when it's warm. It usually happens when I've been inside for a long time and then go outside into the heat. So, I don't know if it could be something with my sweat glands?
It is predominantly on my legs and buttocks, but occasionally arms as well. So far, nothing on my back, head, hands, genitals, chest, stomach or feet. I do not have any fever or cold symptoms. The only thing that I can think of really is scabbies, however from everything I have read this generally starts out armpits, hands, etc- all of which I have had no itching at all. Is this just an allergy? I have not changed washing powder, is it perhaps a food allergy? Any help would be appreciated!
But the rash spread thicker, into my palms and became bruise-like, thick and scaley, especially in the centre of my palms ( my husband joked I looked like I had stigmata) and the same on my feet. Then both my hands and feet swelled up, and the burning intensified. After a week of this, when I had gone back to the doctor, who had no idea what it was, the rash started peeling away, with the bruised layers coming up to the surface, hard and intensely dry.
by the time I went to bed my feet, hands, calves, and hips were also itching pretty badly. It actually kept me up for a while. There is absolutely no rash or redness that would indicate an allergic reaction (plus I haven't used any new detergents or soaps recently). It didn't seem to bother me as much today during the day, but shortly after I got home from work, it started up again (mainly on my back, feet and hands). It's the strangest thing...
I went to the MD yesterday and he just told me to try Cortaid and if it didn't get better in a few days, he would send me to the Dermatologist. no blisters, no raised marks, no scaling. Just red marks and horrible itching. I shower every day and live in clean conditions. Any thoughts?
When I was having bad reactions from it before it was even withdrawn I experienced severe itchy heels of my feet whenever I went to bed. no rash, no nothing. I thought it was maybe dry skin due to the cold. The itchiness went away in the warm humid months - but those same months were also the months that I stabilized on Klonopin in place of the Xanax; and the Xanax withdrawals went away too.
Randomly, my hands will start to itch and swell, and become really red. They will only do this on the areas that scratch, not the whole hand. My skin isn't dry, flaky, or peeling, and I can't think of anything I've recently started using to cause an allergic reaction. This has been happening for a couple months now, and happens at least once a day. Once they're swollen and I poke at the swollen skin, it feels like there's liquid built up underneath it.
Burning skin... (I've had itchy burning hands and soles of my feet) First, I'd spend the money on CeraVe' Soap, it's at the drug store, for your hands and the shower... Also, a 24 hour antihistamine, Allegra is the best then Zyrtec then Clariton, take any of the 3 that you can tolerate. Also, stay out of the heat, bright light bulbs, cover your self with a light shirt and pants.... a hat but you do not need to get heated like sweating....
as of yesterday my throat hurts less and even today it doesnt hardly hurt at all but i have this rash that developed worse on my hands and feet. i thought i may have been allergic to the amoxicillin so i stopped taking that yesterday. the rash is still getting worse. its all over my hands on the top and on the palms. it itches very much. its also on my feet on the soles a little bit and on my ankles. its starting to go farther up my arms. its redish and its not really raised at all.
Hi I am 41 years old I have this burning on my hands and feet also on some parts of my leg and arm muscles. I have swollen legs and feet at night wich disturbs me terribly and making me feel tired all the time. I am embarressed with my burning hands when shaking hand. This has been going on since around 2,5 months now. I have gone trough some basic tests in hospital which all came out normal.
There are tiny, fluid filled blisters and it is very itchy. The rash has spread to my palms and tops of my fingers, and on the inner sides of my feet. There are some tiny bumps at my facial hairline also, but those are not itchy. I called the doctor at reproductive medicine and they told me they'd "never heard" of such a reaction to the drugs I was given and said it must not be related to that. (note: I have no vaginal/genital itching or redness, so it seems unlikely the prog.
Twice I had severe itchy painful swelling of hands and feet. Dr. gave me cortisone first time, and it went away. Recurred, but finally resolved, BUT I now have a scattered series of small red itchy bumps (possibly tiny blisters) which began on the back of my thigh. Cortisone cream doesn't seem to help much. Any ideas? Thought at first it was insect bites, but have treated dog, sprayed carpets & furniture, and had exterminator in.
Just yesterday I woke up with sores on my hands and fingers. The same sores are on my feet, elbows, ankles, and knees. They are small and red and focus mostly on the joints. These sores are very painful and feel like blisters. What are they and what can I do about them. I can't go to a doctor, because I have no insurance.
My mysery was a pin head skin rash on my hands (watery little pimples and very red skin which was very sensitive to warm water) and a little on my ankles. It started slowly on my left hand in the wrist area and then spread onto the right hand and it continued to spread until it covered the whole back of both hands and 2 fingers on each hand, the right hand looked like a carbon copy of the left hand.
I am rinsing my mouth with water, baking soda and salt quite a bit to try and prevent mouth sores, putting creams on my hands and feet to help prevent rash. Jane my treatments are 28 days apart and you said yours are 21? Also my Onc says I will have 4 treatments. We will get this done!! Happy Mothers day to you too. My Sons are cooking for me. Please let me know how you are doing. I look forward to hearing how you and Gabby are doing.
I have had pinhead blisters on my feet (bottom and arch) which has recently spread to the top of my toes along with on my hands which started on the palm and now has worked it's why to the top of my hands and fingers. these blisters are extrememly itchy and irritating. sometimes i will pop them with a needle but that seems to make them itch even more. it is extrememly uncomfortable and I would really like to figure out what is going on.
