Itchy feet when lying down

Common Questions and Answers about Itchy feet when lying down

itchy

I do notice that it tends to itch a little bit more in the lower half of my body. I noticed most of the time it happens in the evenings or when I am lying in my bed. I thought it might have been bedbugs or mites or something so I tried washing all my sheets, blankets, pillows. That didn't work so next I switched all the sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. Still was happening, so i switched mattresses with my father and its still itchy.
All of my symptoms, which are neurological in nature worsen when I am lying down. The parasthesias get worse and the tinnitus in both ears are just horrible when I am lying down. Its weird and I thought I was the only one who this happened to. I am glad to know that I am not alone.
I am down to 30 which is getting down there but not clear. It kicked my butt not clearing but I am not gonna give up. You can make it. We have to look at every piece of positve element we can. I just talked to a nurse at the Pegasys hot line and she thought I was doing great dropping 2.5 in 4 wks and then down to 140 v/l at 12 weeks and now 30 v/l at 24 wks. She stated that all this is new stuff and the bottom line is if we are clear after tx. She said acutally that with the 2.
Exactly the same thing happens to me, with the palmar surface of the hands and bottom of the feet getting cherry red when they are down, and returning to normal or even paler than normal color when they are raised. And here is what the docs have found out about me. 1. My anticentromere antibodies are sky high. This frequently goes along with CREST syndrome, and I do have a bunch of the things that go with that variant of scleroderma. 2. A PET scan revealed that I have liver inflammation.
I only experience the itchy palm when I am up (as in not lying in bed) and mostly when I am sitting at my desk. Years ago I experienced a problem with both of my hands itching - to the point that I would make them bleed when I scratched. That finally went away and didn't have any problems until recently when my left palm started itching. Actually, the nipple itch came first but it doesn't happen as often as the palm.
Change from Hot to cold- Some of you said you get itchy when your not working out but are in hot weather or when you are working out and in cold weather or when you are rested and your body temperature is less than your surrounding. You need to realize it's the CHANGE in temperature. So if you workout in a cold gym, you're making yourself hot. I bet if you step outside in the warmth there is a chance it will subside and vice-versa.
the first dr suggested it was wax. I said wax isnt wet. I can feel it draining when Im laying down. I have had this for about 3yrs now. drives me crazy. I am thinking of going to a dermatologist next, has anyone went to one yet?
very fit and healthy, age 53, only other symptoms are migraines, go to a chiropractor now which found a loss of neck curve which is probably causing the migarines, i wonder if it's worse at night because of the neck position when lying down.
feet numb, no pain sitting/lying, just standing. numbness parathesia in ankles up to calves, can't walk normally because of sore/tired feeling in feet when weight-bearing, have top neurologist at HUP and neurosurgeon, no diabetes, A1C is 5.
12 at least I had shooting electric like pains from my butt to my feet, sometimes these shooting pains would actually raise my leg up abt a foot off the bed....this ALWAYS happened when laying down in particular when trying to fall asleep. I tried muscle relaxants/massage/trigger point therapy/tylenol also got by with sleeping on hard objects like a soup can just to put pressure on the area around upper buttocks where the pain appeared to originate from....
I also have been getting them on the tops of both feet and on my fingers/hands. They last about 2 weeks now. When they go away, they still have a raised bump that itches but the redness and harsh look is gone. I've been to an allergist who said it was not hives and referred me to a dermatologist. I had a biopsy done on a fresh one and am still waiting to hear the results. I have not been able to find anything online similar to what I have.
If I put hydrocortisone cream on them and let it soak in before lying down at night, I can usually sleep through the night. That might be worth a shot while you're trying to figure out what the cause is. I definitely want to find out the cause so I can put an end to this misery.
My right leg is numb above my knee and surrounding thigh, hurts when it is lightly touched, and with the cold weather plus I get a stabbing pain as if I am being stabbed with a knife. It hurts when I am standing, sitting or lying down. Lately my lower back and pelvic area are sore as well. I have an appt with the neurologist at the end of this month. I was talking to friend who is also a gastro doctor and he thinks something is pressing on a nerve.
For the past 5-6 weeks, I've been having numbness/tingling in my arms, hands and legs and feet. I've also had tingling in the face area.........mouth and tongue. My eyes sometimes feel itchy as sometimes my skin. I've had headaches and felt light-headed. Sometimes my face gets flushed and so do my arms, like I'm burning under my skin. My finger joints feel sore. I can't hold a book or magazine and turn the pages, my hands and fingers feel sore.
I sit at a desk all day and use the computer. The time I feel these symptoms the most is when I get home and put my feet up and when I get in bed. Were your symptoms this "come and go?" or were they constant?
It seems that if I eat things with muscovado sugar in them (some chocolate drinks, cakes etc) I then for a period of a week or two after my skin will become red and itchy when I get cold. Basically when I get cold I start to itch, then I go red and my skin warms significantly. Am suffering particularly at the moment, so decided to search to see if anyone else had the same problem. Saw your post and thought it was worth mentioning my problem just in case the the underlying cause is the same.
I suffered from all the debilitating itchy leg symptoms described here, primarily on Sunday mornings when I was extra stressed trying to get the family out the door in time to teach Sunday school. Since I always change the sheets on Saturday, my husband suggested that it might be the detergent/fabric softener. Switching to unscented, hypo-allergenic products did help to alleviate the problem, and today I am symptom free.
Even if you start out with a runny nose, eventually, you’ll have throat symptoms later on. Sounds like a classic cold, right? When you see your doctor, throat redness and irritation and swollen glands are noted, confirming even further that you’re in the middle of a standard upper respiratory infection, or the common cold. Typically, it’ll last anywhere from 3-5 days. A small minority will progress into one of the classic complications of a common cold, such as a bronchitis or sinusitis.
It sounds to me like you have a yeast infection and its a good probability its from the antiobiotics. Antibiotics kill off the good and bad bacteria and when the good bacteria aren't there yeast can thrive. Go to the store and pick up monistat (at least the 5 or 7 day one) or give a call into your doc for diflucan.

Feel cold when it's hot, feel hot when it's cool, feet burning like they're on fire at night. Recently - pain in feet on waking - trying to walk on them feels like they're bandaged up in to ball shapes, so it's hard to balance as well. It goes away within a few minutes of walking. ~~~~~ That's all of it. Thanks to anyone who got this far!

at night and b. when lying down at night. The circumstances of each account are different, the only similar factors are a & b.
) I itch when I get into bed at night on cold sheets. It takes me about 2 hours for the itching to die down when I go to bed at night. Lost sleep and an irritated husband....also losing sleep while I literally rip my skin off and squirm. UGH. My son developed this condition about a year ago. He is 10. I was so worried that I had his pediatrician treat the entire family for scabies thinking we all had something living on us. It didn't help at all.
2 MONTHS AGO I STARTED HURTING REAL BAD WHILE SITTING AT THE PUTER DESK.AM FINE WHEN I AM STANDING OR LYING DOWN. WHEN I SIT FOR OVER 5 MIN. IT FEELS LIKE MY GROIN MUSCLE IS GOING TO RIP IN HALF. HURTS NEAR TAIL BONE AND GROIN MOST BUT PAIN WILL BE IN HIP AND LOWER BACK SOMETIMES.I HAD A MIR OF LOWER BACK BUT THE DOC SAID ALL LOOKS FINE.NEVER KNEW NOT BEING ABLE TO SIT COULD BE THIS BAD.I CANT RIDE IN THE CAR FOR OVER 10 MINS. my eye doctor told me it was due to mild allergies and prescribed eye drops which didnt help in the least so i turned to over the counter allergy medicine which hasn't helped either (so i dont think it's allergies) and in the last 3 weeks not only are my eyelids itchy but when i wake up in the morning my upper eye lids are bright red and swelled up so bad that its embarassing!!!!
SOME MAY TRY TO ELIMINATE WHEAT, AND DAIRY FROM THEIR DIETS ALSO. GET EXERCISE EVEN IF IT IS JUST LYING IN YOUR BED AND MOVING YOUR FEET AND ARMS. MOST OF ALL, REALIZE THAT YOU ARE REALLY SUFFERING FROM A GENUINE AILMENT, AND THAT YOU CAN SURVIVE IT IF YOU ARE GOOD TO YOURSELF, AND SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GOOD PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND.
It began in 1976 and re occurs every 5 to 6 years. I get a sore throat (not tonsils but when you swallow) I now go straight on antibiotics and use Bricanyl inhaler although it doesnt seem to have much effect except to cause alot of mucus coughed up from the lungs. It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out.
I am pretty sure this is caused by Fifth Disease (slapped cheek disease) as my son was diagnosed with it last week (sent home from daycare), and I have experienced every single other symptom (rash, chills, fever, joint pain, itchy hands and feet, I will get tested for anemia, etc). Apparently, this joint pain usually lasts from 2 to 4 weeks to several months or even years (I hope not). It also seems that some adults never get the other symptoms (rash...
lol I take them to help me not feak out to much and cause my heart to go to fast. But I do notice something there as well. When I slow my heart down I get them worse. But when my heart rate is faster I don't get them. I was also reading on another site which I would there after sign up for that there are so many other people out there with this very problem. That is such a relief knowing I am not alone and this isn't just in my head. They also have found things that help theirs.
