I experience itchiness on the soles of my feet for about the first 15 minutes upon arising in the am???? I believe this is an allergy to something in my diet??? as this occurs with different shoes, socks, climates etc.
My feet have swollen up so mcuh I have been limping. Both my hands and feet go very red and I get swollen patches on them, very hot and itchy. My doctor took bloods and everything came back normal, I.e white cell coint, thyroid and kidney function as well as vitamin levels. I dont know what to do. This problem is seriously affecting my life. I had similar issues last year to which they subsided after a few months. What do you think it may be?

I woke up this past Tuesday morning and the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet were red. My hands were swollen and warm but they weren't itchy. I tried treating it as an allergic reaction but there was no reason for it. After 3 days, it was still the same, so I went to the ER. They didn't take any blood tests and decided to treat it as an allergic reaction also. I had steroids, Claritin, and Benadryl at the hospital and they gave me a script for steroids.
Not sure what category to put this under. The soles of my feet recently started having hot flashes. It sounds crazy and there is little information on the Internet about this. It varies between a warm sensation moving up the bottom of my foot from my heel to the ball, to hot like a lighter is being run across the bottom. I am not sure if this is anything other than exhaustion because I have been under a lot of stress lately. My husband is home from being hospitalized and I homeschool 4 kids.

Hi guys, I have read that random itching, including itchy feet, are symptoms of HIV. May I know when is this particular symptom likely to appear after infection? Would the itching appear within the first week? Or is this an advanced symptom?
The soles of my feet and all over my back is incredibly itchy and no matter how much i itch it, it is still not enough and the itch is very intense it almost feels like my feet are burning. What i am not sure is what is causing this?
My nephew, has red bumps, and some that are blistes on the soles of his feet, not sides just bottom, differet sizes no pattern to them, spartic, some clustered some not. No fever, healthy boy.
My 2 year old daughter has severely itchy palms of her hands and soles of her feet, to the point her hands are swollen and bright red and the bottoms of her feet are bright red, her hands and feet also get very hot to the touch. During the day it doesn’t bother her as much but at night she can hardly sleep. This has been going on for 3 weeks and her Pediatrician and Dermatologist are not sure what her diagnosis is.
I have suffered from eczema before and then it went away for many years but for the past few months my hands have been cracking open on the palms and my the soles of my feet crack open as well. It tiches adn then big pieces of loose rough skin come off. I use a epizone cream on my feet twice a day but it isn't helping. I have also found the bottom part of legs to be very red and dry as well. I have had my thyroid tested and the test came back saying it is normal. What could it be?
Intense itching starts first in my feet and them my hands...started about 2 weeks ago. In looking for cause and effect I notice a link between episodes and wearing SuperStore "Joe" flipflops... my feet get intensely itchy after a short time wearing these flipflops in sunlight (so it could actually be either of those two variables). Could it be the chemical composition of the flipflops and/or sunlight triggering my reaction?
i mean like really bad and then the next day the tops of my hands started. It itches only on the tops and between my toes and fingers...ive read about the soles of your feet and the palms of your hands becoming splotchy red and itchy while pregnant but mine are strictly the tops. I dont have a rash of hives or anything...the only bumps and cuts on them are from me scratching so much. I initially thought it must be from my feet and hands swelling due to all my water retention...
All I do for her itchy feet is give her some olive oil to rub on the soles of her feet, and the itchiness goes away after about one or two minutes. If it gets really bad, then I turn to Benadryl for support. The Benadryl was given to her in the hospital, and recommended by the doctor who helped her, at that time. Please help us, as any/all insight into this strange bodily behaviour would be truly appreciated greatly!! Cheers! Lex75 This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.
After about 2 weeks I discovered tiny little rough skin spots which were sometimes itchy, through touches my feet and hands it has spread. I've been told its dermatitis or maybe something else. The spots are not sore just itchy and hardely noticable. Seems similiar to what happened to you..
Pompholyx primarily involves the hands and fingers and then may involve the feet. The first stage is acute and presents as itchy blisters on the hands, fingers and toes. Then the chronic stage shows more peeling, cracking, or crusting. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again. The exact cause is not known and excessive sweating can be one of the reasons. Best would be to consult a dermatologist and get biopsy skin done to confirm the diagnosis.
My husband is having hives in the palms of his hands and sole of feet. we went to the ER once for swelling of throat, tounge, ceiling of mouth, eyes, ear. Basically his entire face and of course his hands and feet. He was prescribed prednizone for 4 days and 25mg of benadryl 3x's a day. He was fine till prednizone was done now he's having hives all over his body. Hot to the touch, itchy then burn. breakups happen usually when he comes home from work.
Should also have said, I've had athletes foot on and off for a year or so which has recently cleared up to a large extent although still have the odd patch of dry broken skin (mainly on soles and side of feet) as mentioned above.
The pressure points of my feet (soles and sides, mostly) have been beet red, cracked and itchy for 1-1/2 yrs. As a result of patch testing and a biospy, I was told I have basically a metal allergy: chromate, nickel, gold, cobalt, plus neomycin, sun tan lotions, fragrances. The puzzling part is that the chromate in shoes is the upper part, whereas my problem is the soles.
I also have the feeling that I got lice or bugs in my hair. I also get itching on the sole of my feet, palms of my hands, in between toes (no I do not have a fungal infection LOL). It can literally drive you insane! I can only thank god that it doesn't last too long. This week however, its been about 4 days and I've had enough already. I hope it's on its way out!
She scratches and then cries and calls them boo boo's they cover a large portion of the sole's of both her feet and are on the insides of her feet as well. They don't seem to have spread, they are not anywhere else on her. I have tried a cortizone cream, (over the counter), it relieved the itch to let her sleep but it just won't go away. I will try Tea Tree oil not sure what else to do. Please respond if you have ever experienced anything like this or if you have suggestions.
I too suffered a case of itchy palm and soles of my feet. This occured after a visit to my doctor for poison oak/ivy rash. My prescription was filled with a generic prednizone and I had take prescribed dosage for 3 days. I became worried, stopped meds and called doctor, who then gave me a Kenalog shot. No more itching and my large welts from rash began to dissapear. My dermatologist says, bunk. But I think prednizone was the cause and I will insist on Kenalog for next bout of rash.
It appears as intensely itchy bumps on the hands, fingers and soles of the feet. When it affects the hands it’s called cheiropompholyx. It may be set off by extreme temperatures, stress, sweating, medication, clothing (especially wool or silk), grease, oils, soap and detergents, and environmental allergens. Dryness is perhaps the most important trigger. Drying soaps should be avoided, and the skin should be moisturized frequently.Stomach problems are rarely a trigger.
Two week after this supposed diagnosis of potarysis roscea, I have fingers and soles of feet that feel stretched so tight they will split accompanied with severe peeling, burning sensation, inflammation in color and touch. I have been to 3 dermatologists without a diagnosis. I have had blood work for CBC, Platelets, Scleroderma Profile,Antihistone Atibodies, AntiCentromete B Antibodies and Rh factor and all aspects have been good. My platelette count is 84ish. Not unusual for me.
