Common Questions and Answers about Itchy feet eczema

itchy

Avatar n tn Lichen Simplex Chronicus is seen in people with eczema. It is non contagious. It is treated like chronic eczema by decreasing water and soap contact, and applying emollients. Topical steroids are almost always needed to control the symptoms. You can use mild steroid cream like Dermacort and if the symptoms persist then high potency steroids and oral steroids may be needed. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist to get the diagnosis confirmed.
Avatar n tn Updating you on my dyshidrotic eczema on my hands and bottom of my feet. I was using the steroid cream my dr gave me and following your advice about washing my hands and using a good lotion. Nothing was working and I felt like actually getting worse. I had some Zyrtec and started taking one a day for a week and it's basically working!! Very few itchy areas pop up once a day or less! Thanks for the advice!!
Avatar n tn It could be a fungus or maybe eczema. Try Lamisil cream first and see if it goes away after a few days. Don't scratch and wash your hands well after applying the cream. If it doesn't work within a week (with no scratching). You may want to see a doctor about it if that doesn't work. Eczema is very itchy and usually isn't on the bottom of the feet but it could be. If so, then don't scratch and keep it well moisturized.

Avatar n tn I would get up in the middle of the night with really hot itchy feet. After a week i noticed small red blisters on my feet only when i would scratch. The itch would only wake me up a couple of times in the middle of the night and i was better for a while but now my itch has come back with a vengeance since the weather got hotter. I now stay awake almost all night, every hour and keep immersing my feet every hour to control the itch.
Avatar n tn It starts out on the inside of my wrists as small red dots that are very, very itchy and painful, than it progresses onto the tops of my thumbs. The rash turns into small fluid filled blisters, and will sometimes cover the tops of my entire hands. It never covers my palms, but seems to follow along the path of my blood vessels. The rash on my feet stays on the top and sides, but not the bottom. The red dot rash does not blister on my feet, but too is very, very itchy.

Avatar n tn For the last one week as the weather has become hotter, my feet have become itchy and the itch is really intolerable in the middle of the night when my feet become hot. My question is are itchy feet in any way related to poor blood circulation and heart issues? some one please help!
Avatar n tn I have intense itching and thickening of skin on my feet. The only way it is relieved is if I itch until I remove the thickened layer of skin which will have a small papule or many clustered together attached to it, leaving a pit in the area it was removed from. That area of itching is then relieved. I have also seen what appears to be a hairlike root attached to the skin that is removed-again leaving a deeper pit, though it is more like a fine "wire' than a soft hair.
Avatar f tn It primarily involves the hands and fingers and then may involve the feet. The first stage is acute and presents as itchy blisters on the hands, fingers and toes. Then the chronic stage shows more peeling, cracking, or crusting. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again. The exact cause is not known and excessive sweating can be one of the reasons.

Avatar n tn Hello, The description of rashes sounds like dyshidrotic eczema. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
Avatar n tn Whenever I attempt to walk quickly, my legs begin to itch uncontrollably, and then turns in to intense pain. It begins in my feet, moves up my ankles and then to my chins, then thighs and butt. It happens before I start sweating, but after my heart rate goes up a little bit. This happens in the city when I am walking to work or to the bus stop - it also happens in the gym on the tread mill. So I avoid walking as much as I can.
Avatar f tn I've got an itch under my skin. Usually on the soles and bridge of my feet, on the palms of my left hand, some of my fingers, between my breasts, on my left nipple only and one spot on my head but its always on the same places. It feels as though it gets inflamed or worse when I scratch but the itch doesn't go away. Skin appears normal no rash whatsoever. Been like this for 3 days now. What could it be?
Avatar f tn Have to watch that I have cholestasis and that's the first system or sometimes the only system you get. It's very serious but very uncommon.
Avatar m tn I am a 20 year old mom of an almost 3 year old and my question is this, he recently came home with a horrible rash of red, white bumps on his elbows, hands, knees, legs, and feet and hands! *his feet and hands are raw and the worse* mine as well! well i have EXTREMELY itchy skin it's so unbearable we can't sleep! i took him to a dermatologist who said it was eczama but i fear its not because we also have it and i told him that!
Avatar n tn It is also possible that you have contact dermatitis which has lead to an inflamed and itchy skin, which can be due to any allergen. Other possibility is dyshydrotic eczema. There is appearance of a large amount of bubbles of clear liquid underneath the skin of fingers, palms of the hand, and soles of feet. They are sometimes itchy and painful. The liquid eventually drains from the blisters back into the body, and the skin flakes off leaving a tender area of clear skin painful to touch.
Avatar m tn By Tuesday evening I noticed that I had formed itchy blisters along the inside of both feet, more on the right than the left. There were also some small ones forming on the toes. All are very itchy. I looked around on the internet, finding things such as dyshidrotic eczema, but also read that blisters like these could be symptomatic of syphilis. I saw my primary physician on Wednesday and explained the situation and my concern given the timing.
Avatar f tn If i was you, i would call dr or make an appt. I was itchy all over my body especially hands and feet. They took some blood for testing and diagnosed me with Cholestasis. It has something to do with my liver...im being induce on September 19 at 37 weeks because its a risk for my baby.
3154277 tn?1494212160 Intense itching starts first in my feet and them my hands...started about 2 weeks ago. In looking for cause and effect I notice a link between episodes and wearing SuperStore "Joe" flipflops... my feet get intensely itchy after a short time wearing these flipflops in sunlight (so it could actually be either of those two variables). Could it be the chemical composition of the flipflops and/or sunlight triggering my reaction?
Avatar f tn no my hands and feet aren't ichy just my tummy and arms
