10050979 tn?1407458289 I had the terrible itching with my first pregnancy. Mine was in specific areas--- the palms of my hands and on my feet. I lived in a brick house and would scrape my hands over the brick to itch it. Like, how pathetic! My doctor said that this happens with pregnancy sometimes. They told me to put Cortaid or a generic brand of that on my palms of hands and bottoms of feet. It helped a little bit but it was still there some.
Avatar f tn Hey ladies am a first time mom and am 30wk and 2days and dis week ma feet are very swolling and whn I stand for a long time or walk alot thy hurt and at nite thy start being itchy and whn I itchy thm it feels so good that I get lil bumps on ma legs and I tell ma hubby all nite whn I cant sleep pls rub ma legs should I make an appointment wit ma doc help me plsssssssss....
800427 tn?1324945719 It itches only on the tops and between my toes and fingers...ive read about the soles of your feet and the palms of your hands becoming splotchy red and itchy while pregnant but mine are strictly the tops. I dont have a rash of hives or anything...the only bumps and cuts on them are from me scratching so much. I initially thought it must be from my feet and hands swelling due to all my water retention...
Avatar f tn Yes! My feet and ankles are very swollen. My feet feel like they are burning all the time even though it's -20° outside, I want to wear flip flops onto the snow to cool them down! My fingers and wrists also swelled and I can't wear any jewelry anymore. Only 8 more wks!!
Avatar f tn Yeah my feet drive me insane at night. Last night was the worst I even dreamt of my feet itching :-/ ugh... I haven't found anything to relieve it yet besides itching the heck out of myself then putting lotion with vitamin e oil on after. Inductions are scary but not terrible I was induced with my son cause he was way late so I have no clue what going into labor on my own feels like.
Avatar f tn I've been so itchy lately and it's getting rediculous. I'm 29 weeks and I just recently saw a post on Facebook about ICP (intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy) and it seems to mostly fit my symptoms but I also have hepatitis c and I know that can make you itchy when your levels are off (which currently they are and I'm seeing a GI doctor next week). My worry is that it is not my hepatitis and is this ICP.
Avatar f tn try to stay hydrated and keep lotion on your hands and feet if they start to get dry. But..... if your hands and feet are sweaty and itch.. it could be athlete foot.. and I would just talk to my doctor.. also.. I hear.. if your palms are itchy.. u may be coming into some money..
Avatar f tn Cholestasis of pregnancy, also known as obstetric cholestasis or intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, usually occurs during the last trimester of pregnancy, and triggers severe itching, especially on the hands and feet. On rare occasions symptoms may appear before the third trimester. The condition is rarely of concern for the mother's long-term health, but may cause severe complications for the fetus baby. Cholestasis is when the excretion of bile (from the liver) is interrupted.
Avatar f tn My legs were swollen few weeks back... I do a lot of walking... Swelling is not present anymore... But there is lot of itching in my palm and sole... What problems might b there with my kidney and liver??? What measures I have to take???
Avatar f tn Itchy skin is normal, however if the palms of hands and soles of feet are itchy or have a rash it could be Obstetric Cholistasis. Which is treated usually with medication and Vit K. Its due to the pregnancy. Call your doctor and have him check it out. No reason for alarm.
Avatar f tn omg my palms and feet so itchy.. i dont take iron... i just felt this when i get 36 weeks i cant sleep at night so i take a shower everytime.. all over my body are itching.. my back, arms, legs have a little sore now coz im using comb not nails... very tired of this situation...
1433383 tn?1287665280 Im just wondering if anyone has any experience with cholestasis of pregnancy. It's not a common disorder, but I just took a blood test for it and I've heard it takes about a week to get a result. If anyone hasn't heard of it, it is a liver disorder, apparently sometimes during pregnancy your liver will create too much bile, the bile salts will rise to the skin and cause severe itching.

2062192 tn?1333714423 Ive not changed my detergants, diet, or my soaps and most of the itching occurs on my hands and feet however its starting to happen other places as well and has woken me up a few times at night. im just curious if this is normal or if its something I should tell my dr on the 10th at my next apt.
1931709 tn?1335833095 I had severe itching on the palms of my hands and soles of my feet around 20 weeks and my doctor sent me for lab testing to see if I had Cholestasis. I luckily did not, but it never hurts to mention these types of things at your OB appointments. When I told my doctor and he reacted with doing testing, I was suprised. Never hurts to be on the safe side :) Best of luck!
Avatar f tn I have these blisters on the soles of my feet and my palms break out and then they peel. It clears up about a week before my period then starts all over again. It’s very sore and itchy. No doctors have seem to find a treatment that works. Help!
Avatar f tn Has anyone else happens to have itchy legs and feet once waking up?? I'm 21+6 and I keep getting that everyone I wake up!!
Avatar n tn Hi, I delivered a baby 2 months ago. Since 2-3 weeks my feet (only the top and not the soles) start itching if I am standing at one place for more than a couple of minutes. The itching subsides when I start walking or moving around. So long I have been thinking that this was a post-partum thing. Could this be a circulation problem caused by being overweight (Heinght 160cm and weight 75Kgs)? What could this be? Please advise.
Avatar n tn It is treated like chronic eczema by decreasing water and soap contact, and applying emollients. Topical steroids are almost always needed to control the symptoms. You can use mild steroid cream like Dermacort and if the symptoms persist then high potency steroids and oral steroids may be needed. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist to get the diagnosis confirmed.
Avatar f tn I'm 29 weeks and all of a sudden I have itchy feet. It's driving me crazy. Have you experienced this symptom and what did u do?
Avatar f tn I had it with my first baby 9 and half years ago. It was a wheat allergy. How I am 13 weeks with my second and the rash is starting to come back. So it could be some as easy as a food allergy.
