No but tiredness and lack of sleep could cause the stingy, itch eyes. Try warm compresses and over the counter Zaditor eye drops.

Hi, I have the same problem. Sometimes I pick my eyes so much that it even makes it hard to see. My allergies also make my eyes so itchy that I pick my eyes even more. My eye doctor said that too much rubbing can contribute to astigmatism. My family is constantly asking me to stop rubbing or itching my eyes but it's a bad habit that i've had for at least 14 years. I also wish I could find a way to stop.
Now I am at the point were I dread starting the day knowing a long day is ahead of me with little activity I feel comfortable doing. I love to garden, paint etc....My head gets heavy, legs weak, eyes don't seem to want to focus right and I end up on the couch or bed. Yuk!!! Is this menopause? Does anybody else have these symptoms and what do you do? Why do perfectly once enjoyable tasks seem a hardship???
I could be allergic to anything, make-up, food, etc. I think we just have to deal with it and learn to love our red and itchy eyes. If anyone finds a cure let me know!!!!!

I work in a veterinary hospital and my doctor seems to think that it is cat allergies however about 9 months ago he give me steroid nasal spray which helped a lot as before I had nasal symptoms, itchy eyes and constant sneezing and now those symptoms are gone. He took blood tests recently and they were all normal apart from my red blood cells where a little low which explain the tiredness. I'm getting very frustrated at feeling like this and I would like another opinion.

What I have personally expierienced is, my eyes burn a lot when I get really really tired and heat makes me really tired. So, maybe the heat from the heating pads caused you to be the same way. I get waves of tiredness that washes over me and I can barely keep my eyes open. I almost need toothpicks. I struggle with that a lot lately. I had 2 weeks of time recently that I felt much better but now it's back again.

Still have itchy skin but it's not so bad and I am now lathering myself in a urea based cream every morning and night. Slept til 5 am this morning before the sun hurt my eyes, have found that I am getting out of bed earlier and earlier these days, feeling more motivated. I attribute some of this to my increased water consumption, now I just have to maintain it. I also think using sleeping pills rather than antihistamines to help me sleep is better for me.
I just went to my eye doc today (hate my glasses), I asked about the effect of Hashimoto and eyes and TED. She said Hashis can be responsible for dry eyes or even slow focusing (which can also be adrenal realated), but not TED- which officially has the bulging eyes. So real Ted has bulging eyes and is from Graves not Hashimoto. If your eye issues are from Hashimoto, I doubt its officially TED. Your doc may be confused. You can have eye issues from thyroid with out it being TED.

Coli at cervix, which was treated with Unasyn twice before resolving. My vulva is itchy as if shaved and hair growing back, though I haven't shaved (labia also looked bumpy). I was told to use clotrimazole cream and Advantan cream for dermatitis. Nothing changed, clotrimazol cream only changed the smell to smth like cheap eau de cologne. The strangest thing is, that when I used Safeguard soap, the cream didn't change the smell and the pumps disappeared for a while.
It started as blisters, but when those opened it just spread out till now it is an itchy red spot about the size of a half-dollar. Does this sound like Riba-Rash? Or did I just by coincidence get some poisin ivy? Because that's just what it looks like. I called the Pegasys nurse and they sounded a little alarmed and said see your doctor.

More recently Ive had pain in my left eye, sore itchy eyelids and as a result my gp sent me to the eye clinic who said ive got dry eyes gave me celluvisc. They said the pain in my eyelid was probably neurological(no neuritus) Apologies for length of this.
