itchy

i have red, bloodshot, very itchy eyes and now my eyelashes are falling out in clumps. I also constantly have white/clear residue in my eyes that i am wiping out.I have had a problem with eyelashes falling out in the past too, but now its ALOT worse. I rarely use mascara anymore or curl my eyelashes... it really scary!! I do tend to rub my eyes alot because they are so irritated and so that is probably part of the reason my eyelashes are falling out..
Hi, i dont know if this is an skin infection on my eyelids and that why my eyelashes are falling out.. or if its an actual infection with my eyes. My eyes are very itchy, bloodshot and i am always rubbing them, maybe thats why my eyelashes are falling out.. I dont know if i should go see a optometrist or a dermatologist...this is really scary and i dont know what to do??
Do you mean dry upper eye lid skin, or are your eyes themselves dry? If the upper lid skin itself is dry, itchy, and flaky, this might be atopic dermatitis, and an ophthalmologist or dermatologist should be consulted for treatment. If your eyes themselves are dry, there are many remedies including artificial tears, nutritional support, and environmental modification and again, an ophthalmologist can help diagnose and treat the condition.
) I have had skin issues around my eyes from treatment since about the time my lashes fell out so I think part of the reason they fell out is from the skin issues. Itchy red puffy skin around my eyes and that is not a good environment for lashes at all. Enjoy your llama lashes...I loved them when I had them.
I too have a habit of pulling out my eyelashes because my eyes get itchy n it's a relief when I pull at them.. I now have very noticible gaps upper and lower eyelashes are disappearing? I also find alot of them come out when I take my eye make up off? I wear liquid eyeliner and mascara every day. Would u suggest not to? To let my eyelashes breathe?
hypo and I began taking 25mcg of levothyroxine. While I was being tested (after the hives cleared up), I noticed my eyes were particularly itchy. I'd rub them. Then it dawned on me that my eyelid/eyelash follicles were itching. My lashes are so thin now... The itching definitely slowed down when I started the medication.
without very good results...and your eyes are apt to be itchy and or dry. Fake it with a soft liner pencil or a liner you put on with a stiff brush...like Smashbox. you just dab that, not drag it on the lid....a eyebrow powder and brush work well too....
Now there are bald patches in my eyelashes and it's really worrying me. All around the edges of my eyes where the eyelashes start is itchy and there is kind of a burning sensation... What is this? How long does it take for eyelashes to grow back? I'm a 16 year old girl, this is very important to me!
Hi, Firstly – I am a 22 year old male, extremely fit & healthy (elite sportsman, fitter than I ever have been in terms of my sport), no obvious deficiencies in terms of general hygiene practice or diet etc… Symtoms; - For about 2-3 weeks I have been noticing very rapid hair loss & thinning of the hair on my scalp – especially when applying wax and showering, a lot will come out in my hands, also I will get 10+ strands if I run my hands through my hair a few times, I just notice hairs t
My lids are red and swollen and under my eyes the same. They are getting itchy again. My internist gave me a powder to drink for my itchness, he says that it goes through the system better, it is called cholystreome Or something like that. I am at work and don't have it right in front of me. Also my ears around them are itchy too, .How about your husband ? I had to stop tx. at 12 wks. because of the rash and because at 12 wks. I went from 6.8 mil. VL> to 4.3 and my Dr.
Although my hair started breaking off a few months ago, no longer have to shave legs but once a week and no hair under arms anymore, my eyelashes have grown longer and they are curling, some of the lashes curling in which is becoming very irritating I am feeling all day like there are things in my eyes and they brush on my glasses. I am finding the SE rather funny, all the years I have been trying to make my lashes longer with makeup and its TX that has done this for me!!
I'm in the throws of peri menapause (with symptoms so extreme I've barely been able to function) and have been trying to naturally balance my hormones through proper diet, and rest. Now all of my eyelashes have fallen out and my eyes are always itchy. All my adult life my eyelashes would fall out during a certain time of my cycle then grow right back. Now they're not growing back and my eyes are always itchy (I do my best not to scratch and rub them).
First of all at the base of my left eye lid where my eyelashes begin my skin started peeling and it would come off in little chunks. I have to take tweezers and manipulate the little pieces of dry skin out if my eyelids if i don't want to have essentially dry skin very noticeably on my eyes. (Terrible sentence, sorry) While doing this some of my eyelashes come out with it, but not to the point where I would be super concerned.
I've had the same symptoms as most of you, swollen and itchy eyes and lips that comes and goes. My whole face was also itchy. My fingertips have little bumps all over them. I have not changed anything in my diet or cosmetics. I went to the doctor and she said I have eczema and gave me Desonide cream for it. This helped a lot for the itchy face but all the other symptoms(swollen and itchy eyes and lips, and bumpy fingertips) have returned.
hello, i was diagnosed with HSV2 about 1 year ago. I still am having some emotional issues behind the fact of how i contracted it. the question that i want to know is this, For the last couple of weeks my eyes and eyelids have been itching out of control> its almost like my eyelashes are dry but when i itch my eyes they become red and the only way i can calm them down a little is to take benadyryl. i wanted to know if this is a part of the symptoms of herpes or no.
I'm 20 years old and I pull out my eyelashes, I've been doing this for a couple of years now and I need help and I've finally realized I can't do it alone. Anyone with the same problem, please friend me. I'm tried of this horrible habit and starting today I'm done pulling them out.
I had this same problem when I was on Accutane, but it went away once i was off the drug. Now it is back and I have been off accutane for over a year. My eyes are not itchy, and there is no discharge to indicate pink-eye. I was tested by an allergist for enviornmental and food allergies and all were negative. I have switched my eye cream and eye make-up in case it was related, but it is still not better. Suggestions?
I went to the doctors with all kinds of symptoms. Dry eyes and blepharitis is what has been diagnosed. But it seems that there is no cure for either of these. I am in my 20's and all of a sudden I now have 2 incurable diseases. Does this mean I will have it for life? They get sore, itchy, red and irritated especially at night. Thanks.
I don't wear make up my skin is sensitive a couple of days ago i put cover up on my eyes and now they are so itchy and burning and the bumps i had are irratatied and more worse and the other eye is so itchy. Is there anyway to help it. I also had 6 months ago that my hair had white scabs but they say it was cradle cap but it went away sometimes i feel itchy but i put some scalp cream on my head and i use shampoo. But my eyes are bothering me know. Even got pimples too.
Nearly 3 weeks ago I awoke with extremely swollen eyes. (So swollen that even the bridge of my nose was larger than normal) The swelling subsided (did not ever fully go away) but my eyelids remained itchy, red and warm to the touch. A few days later my eyelids seemed to be ok other than extremely dry skin in the corners and upper brow area. My lids have remained slightly itchy since that day with a flare up last night and into today.
Hello, Your symptoms are suggestive of blepharitis. It produces flaky debris at the bases of the eyelashes and hence inflamed and itchy eyelids. Yours could be seborrheic blepharitis. This type typically causes the eyelids to become red and produces waxy scales to build up on the eyelashes, causing the eyes to itch. The scales initially develop due to an abnormal amount and type of tear film being produced by the glands of the eyelids.
Just joined so forgive me if Im doing this wrong. I have what sounds like the same thing you are describing. I went to a clinic the other day because I just couldnt stand it another day & couldnt get in to see my regular dr that fast. The dr. at the clinic diagnosed it as scabies. She gave me some cream medicine to put all over my body from head to feet.(They say mostly only infants get it on their heads but my scalp was itchy too).
Looking at me, it doesn't look like anything is wrong, although the itching is unbearable and I'm constantly scratching. The itchy part is around my eyes, temple, forehead and small part of the scalp - all connected, on the left side of my face and hasn't spread to any other area or gotten bigger. Thanks again for taking the time to answer my question. I appreciate your help. Have a wonderful day!
47 I am 35 years of age and have pulled out my eyelashes since I was about 11 or 12 years of age. I seem to pull only the center area of both eyes. I started pulling because of a dare by my brother (sounds pretty stupid I know) any way I am not shure why I continued throough my earlier years there had been times when they grew back but I pulled again. I have seen both eye doctors and skin doctors and have been pretty disillusioned and frustrated with the lack of thought or theory behind this.

Figured out that they should have been put on the eyelashes and not in the eyes. Hind sight is always clear. Please don't suffer. Two of us no longer have this. My friend's Blepharitis was going up her eyelids that is why she used a Facial Scrub. I am so greatful to her. The relief is felt right away. you can tell it works as you cut down the number of times you do it as you get better.
Somehow the combination helped enough that I could keep my mouth closed while sleeping and that helped stave off too many mouth problems. And the benedryl helped a lot with itchy eyes. I bought my husband a neti pot too, as he's had problems with sinus infections for years, and it has made a real difference for him.
