Is it a clear discharge or thick white mucus like discharge? Burning and itchy eyes with white discharge raises the suspicion of psoriasis. It could also be an eye infection. Please consult an ophthalmologist and undergo a complete eye exam. You can discuss these possibilities also. Take care!
Eye irritation both eyes. Discharge clear and sometimes white and stringy. Itchy eyelids and lashes fall out. No antibiotics work. MD said Rosacea, allergies and infection. Was working in ivy and think this might be the cause? Fungal? Have had it for over a year.
Also, the antihistamine diphenhydramine hydrochloride (Benadryl) may help to relieve itchy eyes. If treated properly, the prognosis for conjunctivitis is good. Conjunctivitis caused by an allergic reaction should clear up once the allergen is removed. However, allergic conjunctivitis will likely recur if the individual again comes into contact with the particular allergen. ref:http://www.myonlinewellness.com/topic/allconj http://en.wikipedia.
I have had itchy, griity eyes for nearly a week with yellow discharge and dry yellow crusty eyes in the morning. Have been taking chloramphenicol eye drops for 3 days. Is this the right medication for me to take?
They appeared after a trip and i noticed them after i turned the air conditioner on during the plane ride back. Within two days I was waking up with clear mucousy discharge and painfully itchy red eyes. I went to a local opthamologist (well kinda, turns out she wasnt a certified/educated opth, and im in Kuwait) I was put on a weeks worth of broad spectrum antibiotic drops that only made them worse.
I have had itchy eyes and skin around the eyes for over 2 years. The problem started after I had conjunctivitis just over 2 years ago, I took a gel for this and the redness and worst symptoms cleared up but my eyes have been slightly itchy ever since. It's like the conjunctivitis never completely went away.
Also when I try to put eye drops in after it gets like this it BURNS and My eyes aren't stuck or anything when I wake up like from normal pink eye discharge, it just gets like this when I rub it
I woke up and my left eye was red not itchy or painful and no discharge..I put visine eye drop in it like three times daily both in my left and right eye just in case...now three days later both my eyes are red(rebound tenderness)..but the left eye with the original lesion is now painful..
Her Bottom Lip will swell, it is the lip and not the gums. And she has runny eyes (it is a clear discharge) and she has itchy, waxy ears. If she were a human I would think that she has hay-fever or some other allergy. But I am unable to identify what it could possibly be. As I said this does happen occasionally and each time terrifies me - as in the past she had the calicivirus - for which she was hospitalized over 10 days and was in critical condition.

For a day my eyes were EXTREMELY red with yellowish discharge and endless tears. I took benadryl that night and went to sleep. My eyes were fine after that and the redness dissapeared eventually. My doctor prescribed vigamox which I used for a week. But my medical insurance expired and I stopped. However, ever since my eyes have been very mildly itchy/burning. Its not an uncomfortable burning...more like when you dont get enough sleep.
I have no discharge either - none! It just feels itchy on the outer 'lips'. Not fully outside - just the first fold inside. And if I itch it gets extremely itchy. I don't have any itch around the anus either - just what I think is the labia majora. I am trying a full course of Canesten anyway - just to see if it goes away. I was thinking that maybe I have thrush internally and the discharge isn't there because I am using tea tree etc and keeping it at bay.
Cotton Ultra Comforting Cleansing Milk and had a terrible reaction. My eyes were terribly itchy and watered constantly. In the morning, I woke up with crust on my eyes and white discharge. For over a week I didn't think it was the cleanser because my skin had no adverse reaction. However, after visiting the doctor, it was determined I had an allergic reaction to this L'Occitane product. I have stopped using the product and my eyes have made a full recovery.
They get very itchy at times and sometimes the eye ball is very tender to any pressure and the bones of the eye socket are tender to the touch. My blood pressure is normal and there is no discharge from the eyes. What could be wrong please?
I had this same problem when I was on Accutane, but it went away once i was off the drug. Now it is back and I have been off accutane for over a year. My eyes are not itchy, and there is no discharge to indicate pink-eye. I was tested by an allergist for enviornmental and food allergies and all were negative. I have switched my eye cream and eye make-up in case it was related, but it is still not better. Suggestions?
Erytromicin, Tobradex, some drops for itchy and dry eyes (no name come to mind), SteriLid, all you can imagine Theratears brand... Hope this gives an idea.
I'm 26 and since 3-4 months ago my eyes started to feel painful. I started having dry eyes, red eyes, ... It was a hell to go through the day as I spent most of it behind a computer (work). Since then I have been to several optometrist and ophthalmologists. The first 3 I went to diagnosed an (bacterial) inflammination. I received different drops and gels but nothing really helped. My last ophthalmologist diagnosed it as an allergy.
I didn't relate the horrible red bloodshot eyes to the CPAP, but now that my eyelids are swollen, itchy and my eyes are staying red, and the only thing that's changed is I've been wearing a cpap mask for the past 8 nights...I guess that's what's happening. I called the sleep clinic, talked to a nurse and she told me to stop the cpap for a couple nights to see if it got better. I've gone one night without the cpap...and my eyes are not recovered, I'm going another night tonight...
After eight days on the medication, I noticed little relief, although the discharge at night did go away. My eyes were still red, itchy, and sensitive to light. After reading the insert, I found that some of my symptoms were also side affects of the medication. I decided to stop the medication. The remaining redness in my eyes went away and the sensitivity to light seemed to fade away. The only thing that still remained was occasional itching, but even that wasn't constant.
Dear Doctor, About a month ago, I started having itchy feeling around my anus. It is a small unchanging area of 2-3cm below and close to the anus opening. And about a 4-5 days ago I noticed a small part (1-2mm) on the side of my penis glans starting to peel off. The peeling area has spread and is now about 1/4-1/5 of my penis head. The penis peeling area is not itchy, nor painful, if I don't look at it, I would not know I have it. The area that has peeled off is red.
white, yellow or green in color. when it is white in color you will see it go across eye to inner corner. eyes r watery and itchy. There is no redness or swelling. No other health problems. Just the eyes. What is it and how do i get rid of it?
Hi Are these red dots itchy? Are there any eye redness, any tearing or watering of the eyes? Any cough or nasal discharge lately? I suggest that you have this assessed by her pediatrician. At this point , this may be a case of dermatitis however you have not mentioned of any itchiness in the area. A viral infection also need to be excluded here. Do not apply any lotions or creams on the area as this may only aggravate the condition.

What do you think about it possibly being clogged tear ducts? My eyes were never red or itchy or bothersome in that way, I just have discharge.
My eye is also insanely itchy. I have not changed anything I have worn, put on, etc, so I am trying to rule out allergies even though I live in a dingy moldy basement. the inner corner of my eyes are also scaly, they burn to touch. I have gotten this before and its gone away. I am also applying antihistine drops, sulfacetamide sodium ophathlmic solution, and neomycin and polymycin b sulfaces and bacitracin zin ophalmic ointment.

My left eye is now very red and starting to swell and ooze yellowish green discharge. Both eyes are very very itchy. When I focus with my left eye it starts to zone out, then gets fuzzy then goes black in certain spots (black in a "T" shape or half of the thing I'm looking at. I'm really getting irratated, because it is not getting better but is actually getting worse and the medicine and flushing/cleaning is not working. Thanks for you help!
So I took 1g of Azithromycin (about 10 days ago). Some of the watery discharge went away. But a "drip, drip" kind of clear watery (it is not white or yellowish) discharge remains. It smells a bit. I also seem to have rectal infection as there is itchy feeling and I go to the toilet 4-5 times a day. I also seem to have a bit conjunctivitis in both my eyes. And now I have mysterious pain/inflammation in my right knee and left ankle.
I sense relief then the symptoms return. Most days I can hear but am constantly aware that my ears are itchy. The challenge is to not itch. If I itch, I usually get flaky stuff that I literally can lift off my inner ear.If I itch too much it becomes wet and begins draining a wet clear fluid. Then at night, whatever side I lay on clogs shut. In the morning there is thick crusty crud that again I try not to pick at. Im obviously in continual circle of symptoms here.
I had a very itchy and sore red rash that circles each eye and the eyelids. the discharge is watery and clear, and I have blepharitis like flakes on my lashes. My eye doctor prescribed drops and ointment and advised me to cleanse wit baby shampoo. It persisted for many weeks until I went to a dermatologist who precsribed an anit-bacterial ointment. It has gone away and hasn't returned.
