My head itches a lot, when I scratch it, little tiny white beads or balls come out about half the size of a mustard seed. I thought it was lice, bought and did a lice treatment. The comb only caught these tiny white beads and no lice. I've noticed that I've had acne as long as I have had these tiny beads (for 5+ years) but the acne is very mild. I have similar sounding problem. Very itchy and dry looking skin round the eye area, including the bridge of my nose. One eye is worse than the other. I have tried vaseline, aloe vera gel, even steroid cream which the doc prescribed after diagnosing blepharitis. I don't think it's blepharitis as a lot of the symptoms don't match, eg I don't have crusty or sticky eyes in the morning any more than is normal. Have trawled the net and can't find anything other than an allergic problem.

If I am really busy than I use a cotton ball and apply it dripping to the areas I need relief also. This works better than any cortisone creams I have ever used, both over the counter and script. I have this also, and the eye doctor suggested it was Blepharitis. I read up on it on the Internet, and I think he is 100% correct. The "dandruff" seems to attract dust mites (they feed on dead skin). When the dust mites defecate, and it gets in the eyes, blepharitis can occur. It can also be caused by hypothyroidism. It can feel like you have a large object in your eye, crusting under the lid. Dry eyes also accompany this condition, as well as itchy eyebrows.

you could try washing eyes with a cotton ball and some baby shampoo i know it works on eczema
