itchy arms and legs during pregnancy

I've been very itchy. I don't know if it's from the cold weather or from pregnancy. Usually during winter my legs itch, but nothing else really. Now, it's my legs stomach, and breasts. It gets worst at night and when I wake up I find scatch marks on me not realizing I'm scatching myself. I do put lotion on and it really does that work that well. Is anyone else experiencing this??

During the warm summer months I develop an itch on my legs and arms every year. There is no rash or any sign of irritation and is mostly on my lower legs and arms but sometimes can be on the upper. There is no itching on any other part of my body. The itching feels almost like pins and needles. It seems to get irritated after I shower or swim or my body temperature increases with exercise but mostly water is the common cause of it starting.

It was on my legs, arms, and under my belly button. If it is PUPPPs it either goes away after delivery or simply on its own. But your doctor can prescribe you with a safe antihistamine to help with scratching. I recommend witch hazel throughout the day, Cortisone 10 after drying off from a shower, and coconut oil in the shower as a body wash. Baths don't help it, this is something that needs to be dried out.

after i come out of the shower my legs and arms (mainly legs) start to itch. it doesnt seem like much but they itch so much they nearly hurt and i find myself locking my self in my room and crying until it goes away. it can last up to an hour and ive asked my mum if she can take me to the doctors, but shes convinced its an allergy and wont. i have tried every soap or shampoo there is on the market and it wont make a difference... im starting to think im allergic to water!!!

Hi, I'm 24 years old and for the past two weeks I've been itching like CRAZY only on my legs and arms. it started on my arms, I've not changed any soaps, I don't use fabric softener, I've washed everything I own just in case of allergic reaction, When I scratch these white rash-like bumps show up all over my arms andlegs, it's worse at night to the point where I can't sleep.

Oatmeal baths, and liberal application of emollients containing glycerine should do.

My legs were swollen few weeks back... I do a lot of walking... Swelling is not present anymore... But there is lot of itching in my palm and sole... What problems might b there with my kidney and liver??? What measures I have to take???

I am 20 wks and the last couple days I have been really itchy even though my skin is not dry. It's not on my belly either, just my arms and legs. Is this normal during pregnancy or do I need to see my dr? I have an apt on friday and I plan on talking to him about it but I just read some stuff saying it could be something wrong with your liver and it kind of freaked me out... Should I wait until Friday or call my doctor tomorrow?

The bumps appear on my upper arms and legs and are VERY itchy! I bought a skin cream from Neutrogena specifically for this. It actually says "for red bumps on arms and legs" in the name. It worked well but smells terrible! I'll go find it and post the exact name if your interested.

Since the begining of my pregnant I have had this terrible itchy rash under my arms. I also have pustules along my side, and sometimes I get them on my arms or legs. Could it be an allergic reaction to the pregnancy? I haven't switched soaps, deoderant or anything like that.

i live in MS and there are a lots of bug here...i got mosquito bite and flea all over the grass during the summer, but now it's winter and less bugs... but i have itches all over my legs, and between calfs and arms...moist...kinda weird but especially at nights, it's occuring mostly night time when i go sleep...i would scratch and apply cream but nothing helps... it's been over a month now....

I experience that as well but it happened before the pregnancy as well. I think carper triggers the itch.

At 36 weeks I started itching really bad all over and started to get a rash on my arms legs and belly and my feet itched like crazy. Hi everyone, Just wanted to check in and see if anyone at all has ever had (or knows anyone who has) an itchy, red rash that resembles either bites, hives, or both? The itching on my legs and elbows has decreased, but not it's one one thigh and up towards my hip (and a few on my butt), and a litle bit on the other thigh. Definitely mention it to your doctor. If it is cholestasis you don't want to let that go untreated.

My breasts and nipples were super itchy the first pregnancy and then my belly got super itchy too and I started getting stretch marks.

I should also mention, that these hives show up randomly all day at any given point in the day. I will wake up fine and then randomly I was itchy, only to look down and see the start of them on my arms and shoulders. My husband doesn't have any hives/rashes, and we do live with 4 cats and 1 dog but according to my allergy test I am not allergic to them.

Yes it has to do with your hormones.

With my last baby, my legs swelled so much, I could barely walk, my legs were itchy and when you pressed on them it would leave an indent. I later found out that I had preclampsia (sp) This was around 8 months. I would get it checked. Better to be safe.
