I was also afraid of eating isotrtinoin because i read the harmful effects of the medicine but took the medicine because my doctor told me not to worry. Finally i got rid of acne and these have stopped popping up.
my doctor told me to put azelaic cream ONLY on spots. spots have been diminishing but scars can not be removed by creams she said.

I am fearfull that whether my taking the medicine may have had any affects on the oncoming baby. for example perhaps through excretion of retinoids from my saliva or semen. I am very concerned about it and need some education on the matter. Are retinoids secreted through saliva or semen? is it okh for us two to have sex during the therapy period?
My body fat went from around 15 % to under 8 % after taking accutane. I am extremely thin now and cannot put on weight on no matter how much I eat or what I eat. For example I can eat a whole tub of ice-cream and has no affect on my body. I have read about others have this issue also. Isotretinoin (accutane) obviously messed up something in my body so that it doesn't metabolize or absorb food the way it did pre-accutane. If anyone has any knowledge in this area plz respond. ty.
I have read tons about NOT getting pregnant while on the medicine, that I understand. However having children is my soul purpose in life and I will absolutely not go on this drug if it will cause birth defects AFTER being off it. Please offer me some insight before I make a mistake....
I was also on acne treatment when I was younger. Roaccutane which contains Isotretinoin she is also on Isotretinoin, now here is a possible connection. Isotretinoin is also used to treat some cancers. There was a male on this forum who said he developed sticky skin after cancer treatment. Isotretinoin is a retinoid, related to Vitamin A. Overdose of vit A has its own side effects. I am still in extensive research mode, so maybe investigate all this and see if you can relate to anything.
after that i had Shaking in my hand (for 3 month then it removed) and bad concentration (i did not know till now why i did not go dr may i was thinking that is not problem ) after 4 year i did a test for thyroid and the result was positive for hypothyroidism , i want to ask if there is connection between the medication (Isotretinoin and accutane) and hypothyroidism and if it reversible
t tell that he is actively losing any. Should he stick it out and stay on the medicine or would a lower dosage work (since his cysts have already gone away)? He refer to some doctors and they give him a lot of medicine , but those medicine haven't any effective result for treating.

Has anyone taking isotretinoin?.i know there is a risk ov depression,I'm on my 6th day today ov taking them and don't feel too great.i feel quite low but really agitated,can't switch off and can't keep still.do u think its because ov these meds or just a coincidence?

t put me on medication yet since he thinks it could be a reversible case because of an acne medicine I was taking (isotretinoin) which I stopped after noticing gradual acceleration of the symptoms. I have gained an absurd amount of weight in just 4 days (15 lbs.) even though I cut back on my calorie intake considerably and do intense exercise everyday.
and the last question is about the relationship between Proctitis or Ulcerative Colitis and taking Isotretinoin (Accutane). do you believe that Isotretinoin (Accutane) cause Proctitis or Ulcerative Colitis ? since when I was young I used this medicine for my acne and I searched in the internet many have the same story with me - I mean using Isotretinoin (Accutane) and then Proctitis or Ulcerative Colitis. what is your idea ?
I have been using Isotretinoin since July 2021, and the cumulative dosage is about 100mg/kg. After I stopped using Isotretinoin, I found that my eyes were very dry, and it has been maintained for about a month and a half. I know that Isotretinoin can inhibit the secretion of body oil. I want to know whether the drug's inhibition of sebaceous glands is permanent? Will the secretion of oil recover slowly over time? Permanent dry eye is a disaster for me.

5 weeks pregnant and I have been taking the isotretinoin drug for my acne. Abortion is higly recommended since isotretinoin can cause severe defects on the baby. Wondering if taking abortion pills is safe and effective. Please help.
My dermatologist has prescribed me Isotretinoin (Accutane) around 20 mg. However i feel uneasy and very worried because i had read the following medical research papers where it tells the harmful side effects Isotretinoin has such as teratogenic and more importantly the cause of eye disorders, like impaired night vision, cataracts, optic neuritis, corneal opacities and dry eye.

Oratane capsules contain a medication known as isotretinoin. Isotretinoin is often a cure for acne. You can take oratane after 3 weeks after miscarriage but Oratane causes birth defects and must absolutely not be used by pregnant women or by women who intend to become pregnant. Hence the time you are taking oratane , you should not fall pregnant.
