Hello - I understand that oral with a person who is HIV+ is low risk, but would it be a good idea to take PEP anyway? My concern is the side effects of the Isentress and Truvada combination. I have the medication, but if infection is very highly unlikely, I think I shouldn't. Friends are telling me not to worry and doctor says it is up to me (which I know). Opinions?
ll be the instance of acquiring HIV with such superficial and brief possible penetration. I began PEP treatment (Truvada and Isentress) within 48 hours. He never ejaculated throughout the night and I didn't feel pre cum at any time but I know that doesn't mean pre cum wasn't there.
Am I at potential risk for HIV transmission given he fingered me and may have caused potential tiny cuts combined with the brief/minimal possibility of penetration?

PEP. So I was placed on Prezista, Truvada, and Norvir and developed a rash from it that my MD says is from the medication. I of course freaked out thinking it was an ARS symptom so he changed my regimen to Combivir and Insentress. He initially wanted me to wait three days to restart (I have been on the previous combo since Jan 17th, so a little over a week).

I began taking truvada and isentress 65 hours after my potential exposure to HIV and I have taken them for 4 days. But I did not take them at the exact same time everyday. But I am sure I was never late or early by more than 1 hour. Will the effectiveness get affected by this? And is 65 hours too late for PEP? How likely will PEP fail in my case???
I am currently taking truvada and isentress (raltegravir) is this enough I couldn't get my prescription for dolutegravir filled...is this pep enough?
I went to health care center today, and explained the situation to doctor
I did a rapid test there as control, and which is negative. and then doctor prescribed me Truvada as PEP for a month, and asked me to do a RNA after finish the Truvada.
I keep searching "Effectiveness of Truvada alone as PEP" in internet, I am not sure if this is a normal practice for issuing Truvada alone.

I was given pep for 28 days isentress and truvada side effects were pin sensations all over my body and the muscles in my legs dissolved. almost a year later I have hypersensitive feet pins and needle feeling in my feet and lower legs and pain in my toes as well pain in my legs. I thought when you stop this medication these symptoms go away how long can they stay because I feel like they are getting worse and not better.
