My opinion mainly a way of sucking more money out of the pocket of patients and insurance companies. Plus once you buy this you have to get patients to use it in order to pay for it. There is a big movement now in optometric and ophthalmology circles to proclaim oneself 'Dry Eyes Center of Excellence" and this supposedly can addd $500K to $1M extra revenue/year.
