422823 tn?1229736847 I have been thinking about it. My deductible is $2000 that's due October 13th! It didn't dawn on me that my due date is January and I may have to pay something else because it's the next year. I will be calling the insurance company tomorrow to figure it all out. I don't wan to be hoodwinked and bamboozled by the insurance company come January.
1310633 tn?1430224091 (See Table 2, “Additional Hospital Insurance Tax.”) Beginning Jan. 1, taxpayers started paying an additional 0.9 percent Medicare tax on income above $200,000 (for individuals) and $250,000 (for families), and a 3.8 percent tax on investment earnings above those thresholds. In addition to upper-income taxpayers, the law will impose new taxes and fees on businesses — particularly in the health care field.
Avatar m tn I went to nj protect they cover pre existing conditions and I will pay $351per month n $300 per day at the hospital best option found Hope this helps you
Avatar f tn Ours was going to be 375 EACH visit! Plus the 20% for the hospital which was another $2000. I got on a form of Medicaid through the state and it covers everything that my main insurance wouldn't. It will go down some when the deductible is met but where my big cost was, was the 20% that the insurance wouldn't cover. Definitely ask human services if they have anything that can help, and you can also do a payment plan with most doctors and hospitals.
Avatar f tn You can look on yummymummystore. Com/insurance. Html (not a scam site. This is what the lady ave out in the bf class.) and it will tell you if your insurance covers pumps. Also, even if insurance doesn't pay for it, be sure to keep your receipt because pumps are now tax deductible!
Avatar f tn Yes, if your insurance deductible renews before then or even while you are in the hospital
Avatar m tn hello, i don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but i am applying for health insurance and i had questions about the 'annual deductible'. Is this something i have to pay before i get coverage? or how does this work out? It's a temporary health plan by the way (6 months) with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. So Could anyone possibly explain this deductible to me please?
Avatar f tn At Kaiser I think there is no deductible to be met, there is just a copay for the services you get. And I remember ours was really reasonable when I had my son. Call Member Services, they can tell you right off.
Avatar m tn The only advantage I can think of is HSA is tax-free and it could save some money if I will spend a lot of money on medical stuff in the future. I wonder if HSA is right for me and if I should change my plan to a traditional PPO plan. Can anybody give me some suggestions here?
Avatar n tn That depends on what ur deductible is & type of insurance. Say u have a insurance that has a $2500 deductible but it's required ( this is the new thing, my company offered this, this year) before any benefits kick in. The deductible needs to be paid up front, with office visit's, prescriptions & such before any of the insurance actually kicks in. I'd call ur insurance company tomorrow for sure!
Avatar n tn My new insurance will not pay for anything until my huge deductible is met. All my prenatal visits wont add up to it and i am due in the new year. So technically I will have to pay double deductible for this one pregnancy. I hate Obama and his not care. I will not be going for anymore doctors appoinments, we simply can't afford it.
483733 tn?1326798446 I knew that the damage was not heavy and my insurance deductible is $500. I wanted to avoid an increase in premiums so didn't offer up my insurance info but provided all my contacts and told the girl whose car it was that I would personally pay for the damage once she got a quote. Today I dropped off a money order for $300. I've had certain people tell me that I should have just driven off and not even checked.
1310633 tn?1430224091 The policy forces individuals opting out of any form of health insurance to pay a “penalty fine”, which is more appropriately a tax. You must be signed up for health insurance by December 25, 2013 in order to Obamacare penalty. The original Obamacare penalty maxes out at $285 or one percent of the income for a family of four. In 2016, the Obamacare penalty maxes at $695 per person, $2,085 for the family, or 2.5 percent of taxable income, which amounts to $173.75 per month.
1330108 tn?1333677304 Newsflash: Breast pumps are now tax deductible! http://wapo.
Avatar f tn does anyone know ANY way that i can get healthcare help while i go back to college. There is no way i can go without insurance. I feel like everything is such a struggle. If anyone has any suggestions, it would help.
Avatar f tn Yes you do, here in the UK we have the nhs so we don't have to pay, but other countries like US don't have nhs they have health insurance instead so, like with our car insurance, if u don't have insurance or ur insurance doesn't cover it then u have to pay
229857 tn?1319029907 Do any of you have insurance for your pets? If so is it worth it and what is a good company? Thanks.!
Avatar n tn I've been trying to find the answer to this question, and it is not necessarily one which I would expect insurance agents to be honest with. My questions is this. I'm trying to decide on a high deductible plan vs. a low deductible plan. In my opinion, the BEST thing about health insurance is that when you get a $4000 bill from the doctor, they turn around a say "no, that procedure is really only worth $2000, so here is your money, have a nice day.
290018 tn?1240365868 Not the deductible part, I am employed by the state of TN so I have great insurance. Hubby though is self-employed and we could really use the tax break too. We had to pay the IRS 1,000$ this year over and above the 10,000$ we had already paid in for the year. Blah, I'm due on the 12th. Your alot closer to the beginning of the year, maybe baby will come a week early. All it takes is for the birth certificate to say December 31st... :) My DD was two weeks earlier than my due date.
565927 tn?1228573552 Of coarse its worth it but I was just wondering if anyone elses pegasys is as expensive as mine is with my insurance. Mind you I work for the hospital and I still pay 150.00 each time I refill my pegasys. Take care and agian I am not complaining its well worth it. I mean I have health insurance and my husband and I only make so much money and to top it off we have 4 kids. So to us its alot financial and it doesnt help he is bipolar and we fork out about 150 for his meds a month to.
Avatar f tn Id say it was cheaper than a monthly fee plus a $6000 deductible and then copays......Insurance is a business. They need to make money and unfortunately it is at our hard earned dollar rather than just being charged what things actually cost. Then you think of all the middle men that need to be paid with insurance...hospitals charge more for everything if you have insurance...we got an 83% discount plus 20% more if you pay that day!
763017 tn?1259518290 Oh and usually your prenatal bill (usually around $2200+) doesn't include sonograms. That's a separate bill, too. Let us know how your bills will be tomorrow! I find this fascinating.
