Is trinessa the same as tri-sprintec

Common Questions and Answers about Is trinessa the same as tri-sprintec

ortho-tri-cyclen

Avatar n tn I took Tri-Sprintec (which is the same thing as Trinessa) for 3 years and my period almost always came on Wednesday of my inactive week (I was a Sunday start so Wednesday was the 4th day of the inactive pill week). Once or twice it came on Tuesday. It is because it take a few days after the last active pill for your progesterone levels to level out and trigger your period.
Avatar f tn It seems as though the Sprintec contains the same level of hormones as are in the third week the Tri Sprintec - is this correct? Also, I keep reading that it's the norgestimate that helps with acne due to it's low androgenic activity. Do the hormones in the pill "replace" my body's natural hormones, or how do they affect me? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
Avatar f tn I use ortho Tri-Cyclen and it actually states Tri-Cyclen on the pack. It is a blister pack that you have to punch the pills out through. The last week is green pills. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn I've been on tri-sprintec for 10 months an have never felt this before though.
1430817 tn?1283289443 I usually take it at the same time, I usually take it in the morning after breakfast almost right after I wake up, but today I took it a little after lunch time. I took it around 1:15. If I have sex the next day and skip the pill could I become pregnant? I have never skipped a pill before.
Avatar n tn Is tri-sprintec a bc pill? If so, you likely confused your body by going on and then off, I wouldn't worry too much. If you still dont get your period in a week test again. BTW- just because he didn't come in you doesn't mean you cant be pregnant, there is pre-*** and it can get you pregnant. If you dont want to be pregnant get on some bc and stay on it.
Avatar f tn My question is is what I am taking now the same as what I was taking before because that is what the pharmacy told me? If it is not the same can I stop them now or do I have to wait until I finish this one pack?
Avatar m tn ve been trying to figure out if there are any other vitamins I can take to combat the slower glucose and carbohydrate metabolization from the BCP, or maybe that will just make sure everything is balanced? Is there anything to balance out potassium as well? Basically I just want to know as close to exactly how these new medications are going to affect me and my body.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Tri-all-Sprintec pills. I’ve been on them for about 5 months or so. My boyfriend and I haven’t been using other protection besides my pills. I went on vacation recently and on July 4 I completely missed my pill. I didn’t take that pill until today (July 16). On July 5 we had unprotected sex. I was half a day late taking it on July 8 and we had unprotected sex twice the following day. Starting July 14 I started getting brown discharge. No odor at all.
Avatar m tn I just started taking this bc Tri-sprintec and im on day 3 I woke up and i seem to be extremely tiered. Is this caused by the bc? I have no energy to do anything.
Avatar n tn I am having the same exact problem with tri-sprintec! i only started using birth control in october, and i have had my period for almost a month now! so i stopped using it and now it wont stop getting heavier!
Avatar f tn I will suggest to check with your doctor for symptoms you are having.. I've been experiencing the break through bleeding also due to new birth control pills I'm taking. I checked with my doctor and she says it's an hormonal change. As for the itching you might have a yeast infection which is normal, but to be completely sure make an appointment with your doctor to get a Pap smear done. Hope things get better!
Avatar n tn Very unlikely if this is not the first week of the first pack you've ever taken and/or you did not miss any pills this pack. Do you set a cell phone alarm to help remember when it's 9 p.m.?
Avatar n tn I got my blood test done and pregnancy test done and everything came out good but got prescribed metformin, progesterone, and 3 month supply of Tri-Sprintec for a regulation of my period. I am on week 3 on my first pack of birth control as i already finished the 12 prescribed progesterone pills that i had to take and still on my supply on metformin. Now my question here is, my husband and want to get pregnant what should i do?
Avatar m tn I've been on tri sprintec (combination pill) for about 4 years now. My period ended this past Sunday and on the same day I was supposed to pick up my new pack and start it that Sunday. I forgot and didn't end up getting it until Tuesday. so Tuesday I took two pills (for Sunday and Monday) and Wednesday I took two pills ( for Tuesday and Wednesday). By Thursday I was back on track and Took one pill. Friday I took one pill and Saturday I took one pill. Saturday night I had unprotected sex.
Avatar f tn I was on Ortho Tri for nine years, no problems. After switching to sprintec, the pills no longer worked. I was having periods while on the active pills and my vulva became dry and irritated (like a knife stabbing it). I can't get the pain to go away. Anyone else with this problem?
Avatar f tn which was about 3 months ago I started taking Tri-Sprintec birth-control and I had an AWFUL reaction to it and turns out I was allergic to the high dosage of the acne-clearer in it. Last month I switched to YAZ. But, when I first started with the Tri- Sprintec I noticed these bumps which looked a bit like herpes but I don't know for sure in my mouth near my uvula and they are spreading in the back of my mouth. My stomach and abdomen have been acting up and I dont know what is wrong.
Avatar f tn The birth control pill I take is Tri-Sprintec (28 day pill) and it has been consistent with my menstrual cycle, but I'm not sure if that means it will be effective on pregnancies as well. I take my pill consistently at the same time, every day. So am I pregnant?!
Avatar f tn The reason they want you to take it at the same time each day is so there is a constant level of hormone in your body all the time w/ no fluctuations. If you're and hr or two late in taking it. You're VERY unlikely to get pregnant. That being said, perhaps setting an alarm on your cell phone will help you remember... for example set it for noon everyday and take it right when the alarm goes off.
Avatar n tn What you describes sounds like what is called vaginismus, or the spasms of the muscles of the pelvic floor that narrow the vagina. In some this can be a psychological issue (e.g., history of sexual abuse or assault) while in others a response to pain. Initial treatment may involve desensitization in which a woman can use a dilator or other non-traumatic device to self-insert into the vagina while attempting to relax the muscles involved.
Avatar n tn I have been on tri-sprintec for 2 months. This sunday i will be starting my third pack of pills. So right now I'm on the sugar pills and this will be my third day taking them. I haven't started my period yet. My boyfriend and I just had sex last week and we used a condom a couple times but we also didn't use one. He pulled out every time even when we used a condom. Could i be pregnant or do you think i'll start my period soon?

Avatar f tn I've also never missed a pill and take the pills around the same time everyday at 8pm.
Avatar n tn I should note that I also started birth control (tri-sprintec) 15 days ago. Yesterday I noticed very small reddish, shiny bumps on my vulva (the same area where the yeast infection got really bad), and also on the same side as that, but closer to my butt cheek. They are kind of all clustered together. The bumps do not hurt, but are only a little dry and itchy. I have not had sex with my boyfriend since before the yeast infection (it's probably been about 3 weeks now!).
Avatar f tn On Thursday night I forgot to take my birth control, I took it when i woke up Friday morning and then took my next pill that same day right on time. I've been on birth control for years(2 years and 3 months). I had unprotected sex late friday night..I know it doesn't matter but he pulled out. And I know my boyfriend well..he's never precame. I just wanted to know should I be freaking out?! Or can I stay calm?
Avatar f tn When I was 15 the docs decided to put me on a progesterone based birth control (Tri-Sprintec) to start my periods and I’ve been on and off that same birth control since then. Tri sprintec has always worked for me, regular periods, no complications.
