1572451 tn?1299029389 So given that it is an IVF with donor eggs, getting a positive nine days after transfer (in other words 14 days from conception) means there is a pregnancy. Great news, I'm very happy for you!
1328473 tn?1335874467 Hi there, First of all, I'm very sorry for your loss :( :( Honestly I have never heard of that. I'm on clomid and my estrogen levels can be as low as 1500 at ovulation and this cycle as high as 3500 at ovulation. I was just told it's indicative of the amount of eggs / follicles sorry don't know where did you hear this? from your RE?
Avatar f tn Have they gone in with a laprascope and burn it all with a laser? That is SUPPOSED to last years. For me unfortunately, it only lasted a few months. That was the last straw. I would check into that IF they haven't already done it. If so.... and you're to the point that you're just on pain meds. YUP - get the hysto! I know exactly what you are going thru. The pain is just horrible.
Avatar f tn I am currently on a ganirelix cycle. Everything was going great (good number of follicles, estrogen high) until I started the ganirelix. At that point my estrogen plummeted. The dr called me and said to up my dose of menopur (I was on gonal f--same as follistim--and menopur). He said not to worry, that this happens sometimes and doesn't seem to affect embryo quality. The next day my estrogen had gone up but not enough. So he upped my gonad-f dosage.
Avatar f tn Nino - I started taking it on day 12 of my cycle when I went in for the follicle check waiting to see how they were growing and they could see my lining was a little thin and wanted to thicken it before doing the iui. So, I started before ovulation and I have to keep taking it until pregnancy is confirmed. The pill is really tiny but it's bright blue so I put it in at night and there is some strange discharge that is blue but it's not too bad and I know it's helping.
Avatar n tn Arimidex lowers body’s estrogen levels and hence is effective in estrogen dependent breast cancers. However, lowering of estrogen increases the risk of heart and cardiovascular diseases. Hence a woman becomes more susceptible to high blood pressure, deep vein thrombosis, angina and heart attack. Do discuss this with your doctor. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar f tn I am new in this forun and need help. My E2 is very high 700 and FSH 2,2. Can l get pregnant naturally or must l have to go for IVF. lf IVF can l still use my own eggs. l will appreciate any advice, thank. This discussion is related to estrogen and fsh question.
Avatar n tn At age 22, you almost certainly still have hundreds of thousands of eggs in your ovaries - they just are not being released. In general, regular monthly ovulation requires that a critical % of a woman's body weight be fat - approx 20%. Thus, once you reach full recovery, you will hopefully start having regular periods again when not on the pill.
Avatar f tn Could a blueish/purple ring around both nipples and breast tenderness be an indication of cancer. There is no possibility of pregnancy, but the breast have also gotten fuller and this blueish ring gets bright and then fades. It has been here for a couple of weeks.
Avatar f tn I had a spare total hysterectomy and bilateral silpango oophorectomy two years ago no hrt in the past yr my body has all but given up 40lbs later severe joint pain and mood,?
402702 tn?1325887812 I was told that because I am older some eggs maybe be defective while others are good. However it is a crap shoot in having eggs released. I am going to begin taking the fertility shots next week which will increase my odds of having many eggs produced at once. It's 70% that twins will developed & a 10% chance of triplets. I hope I helped you. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I realise that I prbably am and all of these people could be right but something compells me to pursure things a bit just in case there is a remote chance of me having a baby.
961574 tn?1520648103 Shady Grove will actually let us do in-state monitoring at a clinic/obgyn near our house. We have a phone consultation with Dr. Levy and then We go for one day of testing, meeting the social worker ect., my hubby leaves his "deposit" on that same day, they freeze it then. and then.... We don't have to go back until day of transfer : ) The will even reimburse us for out of town monitoring costs : ) So we only have to make 2 trips to the clinic each fresh cycle.

Avatar f tn i think these are pretty good stats. the most i've had in all of my ivf cycle is 7 eggs, 4 fertilized and 3 implanted. it resulted in pg but m/c. so your numbers are def good. just curious... what protocol you are in? and do you know or what has your doc told you why the first cycle did not work considering you had 6 fertilized eggs. good luck!
655897 tn?1328018445 I had to have PGD done so they needed my eggs to be as big as possible and a lot of eggs were necessary. I think it is different with IUI since the eggs stay inside and with retrieval most are taken out. I don't really understand it. I know they won't cancel my cycle so I'm not worried about that, but I was just concerned about hyperstimulation. Thanks for your response and good luck with your cycle!
1874149 tn?1339551701 ), I was pretty uncomfortable walking, sitting, standing, lying down...yeah, that part was not so fun. Along the way, you'll likely have several u/s to see how well you are responding to the meds and then be instructed to give yourself the "trigger shot" to jump start ovulation. Thirty six hours later you'll have the egg retrieval. I was pretty scared of this because you are knocked out, but it was over in minutes.
945508 tn?1259156758 Estrogen is added back to maintain hormonal balance within the endometrium. The estrogen level usually drops after egg retrieval since many estrogen producing cells are also removed along with the eggs. Estrogen can be used as a patch or as tablets. http://www.ivfmd.net/Treatment/treatment2.htm Make sure your RE is monitoring your estrogen level after your transfer and not waiting until your hcg...
Avatar f tn Hello, I've been on this site for several months...quick info. I have a 3 year old..concieved easily..2nd time around..not been so good. Two chemicals, then a stillbirth at 20 weeks. Cord wrapped tightly around his neck causing death...heartbreaking. So I have some FSH issues....I've had my levels tested twice and they've been at an 8 and a 12! I've done 3 IUI's....at most I produce 5-6 mature follicles. So I'm starting IVF.
961574 tn?1520648103 But the egg quality is better and they can afford to do more cycles if that is what is required. Even in the worst case scenario, when there are no eggs left at all, then at least the patients can discover this with only $300 spent on drugs instead of $7,000 (cost of maximum dosage). Think of this simple parable: If you are sitting under an apple tree, and wish to eat the most ripe and ready apples, you have a choice.
