Common Questions and Answers about Is serzone still available

serzone

Avatar n tn You do know that not all of the drugs you mentioned are ssris. Effexor is an snri, nortriptyline is a tricyclic. Fetzima is a newer snri. Remeron is a tetracyclic and is a notorious weight gainer. My psychiatrist practices geriatric psychiatry and only uses this med for patients who have stopped eating since it makes most people want to eat. I thought serzone was taken off the market for causing liver disease, although the generic is still available. Maybe it's back.
Avatar m tn Lily, Thanks very much for your feedback. In answer to your question, Dexilant is only available by prescription. It is relatively new. I've decided to slowly withdraw from nefazadone as my gastric reflux problem is getting increasingly worse. I've decided that I shouldn't have to take three medicines to offset the side effects of one!
1432927 tn?1283546704 Further, when i try to exercise (pulse to 140 bpm) I get multiple pvcs. BP is controlled. Recently, I was put on Paxil 10 mg for anxiety - now my pulse runs constant 110 at night and 84 during the day with intermittent PVCs, should I discontinue Paxil - is there a negative link to beta blocker therapy? History: Chronic Anxiety (15 yrs), HPN (20 yrs controlled) Recent Cardiac MRI, Echo, Thall Stress Test all negative.
1115705 tn?1258815104 I know. A part of me rebels against fixing something that isn't broken, but if I'm honest with myself something really is broken. I hate the morning depression I've been experiencing for nearly a year. Although in no way suicidal, I've more often than not thought it really wouldn't matter one way or another. That is NOT me. Going off the Klonopin doesn't bother me. In fact I'm all for it if the Remeron does as good a job as it has for the past few days.
Avatar n tn t do, and I have been struggling for years, working for myself from my own home, I am not sociable, if I go out in public and I am in line or a crowded room I get a palpatation, weak knees and feel detached from reality, my therapist told me that is anxiety - I feel I was double crossed, Serzone was all that helped me, it did not cure me, but it helped more than any other, HOWEVER I started in 1997 and in 2004 a Big Liver Black Box came out, and it is considered a dangerous drug.
Avatar m tn The exact same thing happened to me, related to ringing in my ears. All of a sudden I could hardly sleep at all. The anxiety the ear problems caused kept me awake. I went to see my doctor, and he just shrugged his shoulders and gave me ambien. BIG MISTAKE! HUGE MISTAKE! You take ambien for a week and your hooked. If you stop, you will not sleep for a while, period, and recovery will be brutal.
Avatar n tn Does Serzone cause weight gain and how does it affect your sex drive. This is my first time on this forum and looking for some answers.
Avatar f tn I started on antidepressants when I was a teenager. In the span of 6 years I was on an entire host of antidepressants, with an intramuscular injection (during a hospital stay) being the only thing that made a noticeable difference. And that was, of course, temporary and transitory. I recovered on my own and was off meds for 9 years. Two years ago events led me to seek treatment again.
Avatar m tn with no deppression i am now feeling deppressed and i think it is from a melatonine/5-htp combo, i know it is a seratonine uptake drug but i was on Serzone for 17 days and it made me extremely suicidal so could 5-htp be the cause?
Avatar f tn My name is Victoria and for the last 11 months, my body has been through hell and back. It all started last year (12/2/12 to be exact) I was sleeping normally that night and felt a couple of flutters in my chest, I didnt think any of the matter (except that it was weird) I was slowly drifting off to sleep when all of sudden my heart starting racing and pounding extremely fast. My hands were shaking, I felt weak in the knees, I couldn't hardly walk or concentrate. It was awful.
Avatar m tn s my story. Do you think I could possibly still have an undiagnosed brain tumor? Is it possible the above scans, in the common areas they check would have missed a certain type of tumor elsewhere? What other issues could cause symptoms that presented as mine? I am about to go back to my neuro-optho, and I guess what I'd like to ask is this. If his exam is unremarkable again, what MRI tests should I ask for. I believe there is a 3T MRI (previous scans were 0.
Avatar n tn The exhalation should be twice as long as the inhalation, so that pressure is experienced in the windpipe, and chest and trapped air is forced out. Another technique is Breath Holding and Coughing. Inhale deeply and slowly, holding the breath for five to 10 seconds. Then the patient coughs on exhalation. You can read more breathing exercises through this link: http://cas.umkc.edu/casww/brethexr.htm Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn I only have one movement first thing in the morning and that is it. I then fill with gas all day and it is not free to come out. FRUSTRATING- there is enough pressure now built up that my urine stream is rarely free and full. Feels like trap doors shut and won't allow bowels and gas to release. I did have some form of Colitis 35 years ago but this is the longest stretch of feeling so much pressure 24/7 everyday for 5 years. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Hello Samsung - I just answered this and my answer disappeared in thin air - so if you suddenly get another answer dont worry its all my fault. You're fine. the NAAT tests are not typically available in the UK NHS for diagnosis but are available in the private sector like our clinic. They are fabulously accurate and definitely at 5 weeks that result will be a certainty. You are HIV negative. The oraquick is reassuring but designed for use at 12 weeks.
Avatar n tn Hi all, I note a mention of Trazadone as being less addicting and helps blood pressure. I'm sure Summer123 wanted to share this information in good faith as Trazadone has been very helpful in her case. But my understanding from reliable sources is that it is in the same class as Serzone which was pulled off the market due to liver toxicity. Just because Trazadone is still out there I don't believe it is completely safe for everyone.
Avatar m tn Not a question, but just an update on the FibroScan technology in the US which is a non-invasive method to measure fibrosis staging (replacing the needle biopsy). In 2013 the FDA approved the FibroScan technology and in 2014 the AASLD endorsed the FibroScan technology. The FibroScan is technically called Vibration Controlled Transient Elastography (VCTE) and it measures liver stiffness that correlates with liver fibrosis staging.

Avatar m tn ll pay $1230 til I reach the deductible, after that $1021 til coverage gap then $1765 til catastrophic. This is monthly. I can eat up our savings, yes. Then I'll be eligible for aid because we'll be in the right income level. POOR! So this is just to tell you, thank you for all the info & hope you supply to the young people afflicted. Let them know though, once you get old there is NONE. Any ideas?
