protonix

I originally used teva-pantoprazole and then used mylan-pantoprazole, now I'm back on teva-pantoprazole and the symptoms seem to have increased. Is there really that large of a difference between generics that would cause one to work better than another? I also see that is it recommended to take PPIs an hour before a meal, but is the info for pantoprazole it says it can be taken with or without food and doesn't have any time restrictions, any thoughts?
Hi, protonix is anti ulcer drug, chemically called pantoprazole, it inhibits secretion of gastric acid in stomach hence heals ulcer in the stomach which might be responsible for causing bleeding. It is highly efficacious drug for treatment of ulcers in stomach as it can inhibit up to 100% of acid secretion. For more information visit http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/protonix.
The constipation resolved, but after 2-3 months on pantoprazole, has returned. Again, he tells me that it is not a side effect of the proton pump inhibitors. I do not know what to do. Is this a rare side effect of these medications? I am miserable with the GERD but almost more miserable with the constipation that seems to accompany these medications for me. I also take topirimate 50 mg for migraine but have been taking this for years with no problems.
I am aware of Protonix generic Pantoprazole. I have now been advised by a Pharmacist that Prevacid will help me. Will it?? Is this a Beta Blocker only or more? Are there ANY Proton pump Inhibitors out there other than Protonix and generic?. Is there a hospital injection of medicine that can be given? I will anxiously await any and all replys. I am living on Pepcid now with little relief. My Pharmacy puts Protonix at $737. for 180 40mg.tabs of Protonix and $570 for Pantoprazole.
Like you I was originally told that I had acid reflux which was crazy. My cough is a strong itch more under my right ear than in my chest; the cough is never in my chest, just in this location. I can press my finger on the area and cause myself to cough. If I am eating something (especially salty foods) and swallow, if a grain of food gets on the area I start to cough. If I lay on my right side and have sinus drainage, I cough.

I am taking tagamet otc- Walmart generic brand and for me it is better than the rx ones- But that's just me....
I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw. I don't have constipation, diarrhea, or vomiting occuring, but I am having problems sexually. I've taken urine and blood tests all coming back negative.
benefits of Protonix, if it really has serious dangers humans have to worry about, and if it's okay to take for long periods of time? I have MediCARE now, they pay completely for pantoprazole generic. THANKS 6060842.
After seeing a doctor I was diagnosed with GERD. I've been on a drug called Ranitidine, which is a generic form of Xantac, on and off for a year or so. Lately I've been having many other symptoms including headache, dizziness, pain in the shoulders, arm numbness on the right side, morning nasuea, extreme anxiety, constipation with frequent gas, decreased appetite (under 1500 calories a day for over two years), uneasiness, and all my normal GERD symptoms.
Hi Sue what is Oxycodone? Do you get it from the doctors? I too have chronic gastritis and it is agony on flare ups. I take Pantoprazole,Gaviscon and I can take Sucralfate. They don,t do much though. Its really awful isn,t it I hope you find relief for your pain too.
i was diagnosed with mild esophagitis/erosive gastritis since abt 7 months ago was on protonix (its's generic zurcazol) for 6 months. the dr said i should cut it completely for 3 weeks and then see him. i am VERY careful with what i eat, how i eat, no stress as possible etc... lst small small meal at 19.30hrs. i don't have much of heartburn only occassionally since which goes away if i chew gum or eat something some of the time.
I've lost a little weight during this time (which is not a terrible thing, as I am overweight) but my main concern is the fatigue, temporary loss of appetite (I need to eat with my pills), and anxiety. Could anxiety be the main culprit behind all this? Am I still healing and need all this rest? Do I need to change my diet? I have an appointment to see a doctor on 2 February, but if anyone has any ideas I am very open to suggestions.
2 weeks ago he came home from school without any lunch eaten, this is when I decided to take him to the doctor...strep test was negative, and he doesn't complain of throat pain. He did say it felt like phlegm was in his throat, so we tried Zyrtec in case it was allergies (which he has never been diagnosed with), but the Zyrtec didn't help either. The first few days of this, he would eat certain solid foods, like Cheerios or Goldfish...

I notice if I catch it early (which means I carry antibiotics with me all the time) it is not as nearly as bad. Doctors have diagnosed this as Asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma etc etc. All different specialists seem to have a different prognosis and the recommended pills over the years have not really done any good. None of them seem to relate to the closure of the windpipe and cant give me a straight answer when I ask them.
I feel the vibration all day long and it has a pattern to it. It is a weired feeling and I can not figure out what causes this and why it will not go away. Can you tell me why I feel this?
The big clue that something is wrong is if you begin passing out, which from what you say is highly unlikely since your heart tests are normal. If you're just having ectopic beats, this probably isn't even worth you thinking about it.
I am having the similar problems. I feel dizzy and then my heart starts racing and I feel like I need to have a bowel movement. It is very scary. This discussion is related to VAGUS NERVE and STOMACH or HEART LURCHES (spasms).
