Does anyone else think ritalin is the devil? I was taking 120mg / day and it did nothing but make me sleep. I couldn't function on the stuff. Missed work and everything else. Anyone else had this kind of effect from taking ritalin / methylin / methylphenidate?
Could it be that your body is trying to tell you something? METH KILLS! For God's sake stop smoking that schiz! And, please tell me that you aren't smoking meth on top of taking Adderal (which is also an amphetamine)! You are doing great harm to your body. Please stop.
I have two sons with ADHD. The 'upper meds' 'boots' is talking about are the ones the are in the amphetamine class...extremely addictive, if abused. Ritilan, Adderal, Focalin, Daytrana are a few more in that class. He/she also added that they are an recovering addict, so I assume that they have abused, or are afraid that they will abuse these meds. Boots: I know of one that isn't an 'upper'. It's called 'Concerta'.

I happen to have a urine drug screen form right here, you can test "negative". Or positive for cannabinoids, cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, opiates, etc.
The amphetamine and meth are two different "check boxes", and you should have tested positive for amphetamine. If you have a prescription in your name that shouldn't be a problem.

So I came home and I am very worried about how weak my pulse is. Has anybody heard weather or not taking Naproxen with an amphetamine can be harmful because it is not in the drug facts and I cannot find anything about it online either. Please, any people or doctors. Should I try to sleep this off?

Look up 'amphetamine psychosis' and 'dopamine hypothesis of psychosis/schizophrenia' to see how extended use of amphetamine can change a person psychologically. Becoming violent is only the tip of the iceberg of everything it can cause to happen to a person emotionally.
My guess is that it is probably the amphetamine that is causing you to have difficulty sleeping. I hope you are seeing a psychiatrist for your medication management. If not, it may be time for a psychiatric consultation. With appropriate medical supervision, maybe you can drop the 5PM dose of amphetamine or change to some kind of different regimen for your, let me guess, ADHD?
Does anyone know about the withdrawal symptoms from this? Is it worse than coming off vicodin or better? I have clonazepam 1mg which I rarely ever take. I have plenty refills for that. Was told that the clonazepam would greatly help. Is this true? I'm almost 66, widowed, lonely and I think that's why I turned to the Adderall. Gives me more energy and a little euphoria. Okay, I get drug tested every month randomly with urine analysis due to child custody order- I had a problem with opiates 5 years ago, been clean ever since. My spouse however is an active methamphetamine user. I have failed sensitive tests such as the hair follicle test and the nail drug test for only methamphetamines- no amphetamines are detected, or they are detected below the cutoff.
ve been prescribed a generic version of adderall 10mg once a day. From what I read this is amphetamine. My prescription ran out and I used a concerta my concern is if I have a urine test or hair follicle test will the methylphenidate in the concerta show up? Concerta is not my prescribed medicine.
Concerta is a methylphenidate based medicine, while Vyvanse is an amphetamine based med. Usually you go to an amphetamine based because your methylphenidate is not working for you.
The only possible reason I can think of to take both would be to turn off your mind at night so you could go to sleep and stay asleep. But, I doubt that you could find a doctor to prescribe for this.

My 11 year old son has the following symtoms after a streptosyme infection found in his blood in Nov 2008, and after taking methylin for 5 days in Dec 2008. Could this be related to dystonia and why?

Adderall is so damn expensive. There's these capsules that they sell at headshops, called "adoral" and it's supposed to be a legal adderall. I'm very skeptical, is it safe to replace an adderall script with this stuff? And is it safe to take?
When I take an ADHD stimulant medication, the anxiety is reduced, for an hour, maybe two. Is the anxiety really gone? I’m still grinding my tongue on my bottom teeth. I’m probably just focused on non useful tasks. The tasks include: obsessive internet surfing, looking for home businesses (which I honestly believe will work, and may, but with an unusually high confidence. This is due to, in my opinion, a false sense of confidence, or; the lowering of whatever makes me cautious.
provigil(modafinal) and nuvigil are non-amphetamine stimulants... nuvigil is the sustained release version. most health insurances will require a you to try other drugs like ritalin first or prior authorizations and after all that still have it cost a lot by having some type of deductible/coinsurance for either one of these. anti-depressants will not help with drowsiness/sleep attacks.
If you have ADHD and a prescription - no worries even if it does show up. If you don't ....then this search showed that, "Vyvanse is detectable in urine up to 3 days after ingesting Vyvanse. Vyvanse is detectable in hair samples for months after ingestion. Though Vyvanse itself only stays in your system four hours post-ingestion, the active drug d-amphetamine stays in your system for 40 hours.
