Oxycodone is a stronger narcotic then the narcotic in vicodin which is hydrocodone. Both will cause WD. The WD from oxycodone was always much worse for me then hydrocodone but some say it's the same. What form and strength of oxy were you taking? If you were taking 1-2 oxycontin, whatever the strength, per day and then switch to hydrocodone down to 15mg of it per day, IMO you most likely would feel some form of WD.
There isn't an OTC for Hydrocodone. Try looking it up under herbal remedies. Maybe there are some similar herbs that can help. If I know what type of pain and where you are experiencing it I'm sure we could help you more.
no, hydrocodone is vicodin. Morphine sulfate is the active ingredient in morphine. If you are worried about a possible reaction to the medication, I would speak to your local pharmacists. I'm not sure if hydrocodone and morphine are in the same family of drugs. I know vicodin and percocet are in a similar family (due to codine), but morphine is much different. refer to this website.

Usually they will be written in the script with 2 numbers, the first being the strength of teh hydrocodone and the second number the strength of the tylenol. So vicoden 5/325 would be 5 mgs of hydrocodone and 325 mgs of tylenol. You should be able to find hydrocodone in India. The alternative would be Percocet which is oxycodone instead of hydrocodone. They both are very similar but the oxycodone is a bit stronger. From what I have read, a 5 mg percocet is equal to a 7.5 mg vicodin.
As said above, hydrocodone is Norco....or Vicodin...there are several brand names. It is one of the cheaper short acting meds on the market. Make sure your physician is prescribing the generic and that your pharmacy is filling it with a generic.
You might want to talk to your pharmacist. He/she is the expert in medications and their costs. They will be able to tell you about prices and and other options available.

If it is a small yellow oval pill and is scored in the middle so it can be broken in half it could be Norco or Hydrocodone 10mg with Acetaminophen 325mg. Hydrocodone with Acet. is also known as Vicodin. That is what I take and I usually tell others it is Vicodin because most do not know what Norco is. It's just easier to say that instead of explaining all the different brand names of the products with Hydrocodone and Acet.
Vicodin/Lortab/Hydrocodone-2.5 mg, 5mg 7.5 mg,(ES) 10 mg, they come with 500-750 mg of Acetem.
Norco(=vicoden/hydrocodone too) 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, they usually come with 250 mg acetem.(Tylenol)
Percocet/Percodan (Oxycodone) 5mg, 10mg anywhere from 250-750 mg (tylenol)
Oxycontin usually comes in 10, 20,60,80 mg and typically doesn't have any tylenol.
Morphine comes is pill form as well as intravenous for severe pain.
I am in the same place except with hydrocodone. The pain is in the nose if you dont snort the hydrocodone. The pain is so bad you can not funtion and live a normal life. I have tried everything. I even went to the ER and have received no relief. The only thing that stops the nose pain and burn is to snort another pill. I am putting as little as possible up there, either a 1/4 or a 1/2 what ever works.
I've never heard of any vicodin containing 35mg of hydrocodone. The highest i've ever witnessed was in germany at 15mg. something you cannot get in the states. Norco or lortab is the highest amount of hydrocodone you can get out of a "vicodin" at 10mg of hydrocodone here in the u.s.
I could be wrong but i just wanted to share the facts.
What dose did your dr give you of norco? 5/325, 7.5/325, 10/325? Norco is a different name brand of lortab with the same narcotic in it as lortab & vicodin which is hydrocodone. Norco has LESS tylenol in it....which is where the 325 comes in. Usually when you get your lortab it probably says hyrdocodone 10/500...so he is just reducing the amt of tylenol b/c it is hard on your liver.

Well, percocets is oxycodone and vicodin is hydrocodone....I am pretty sure percs are stronger than the vics. They are both made with tylenol as well and also come with different brand names but are the same generic ingredients.... hope that helps some.
If they do a serum testing, they can differentiate between Lortab and Vicoden because of the amount of hydrocodone and the filler ingredients by the levels in your blood, but in a urine test, they can not, unless they do a gas chromotography. The GC breaks it down by the metabolites left in your body and the amounts of each chemical.
If you don't have a valid prescription for either drug, and you are taking both, you will get caught if they use GC testing.

I went to the Dr and found out I have disk degenrative disease. My back has realy been hurting and the DR prescribed vicodin and Soma. Can I take both at once?
Actually Vicodin has Hydrocodone with acitominophen. Oxycodone is in percocet and Oxycontin to name a few. Oxycodone is much stronger than hydrocodone.
I agree in just asking what the packets are, show concern not judgment. It could be cocaine, speed, heroin, etc...
Different drugs entirely. Vicodin is Lortab is Norco is Hydrocodone is. Codeine is entirely different. The reason you can switch between those and for that matter, any opiate, is because they are cross-tolerant. They are substitutable, but the dosages wouldn't be the same for the same effect. A look at an opiate milliequivalency scale would be needed or people experiment.
