500923 tn?1210168927 Low carb diet - no bread - pasta - flour - limit whole grains - no sugar natural or artificial. Brown sugar Ok once in a while. Limit fruits high in sugar! Alcohol is sugar too. Limit milk products Maintain a high green veggie diet with lean "good" protein meats - hormone free! Nuts are good and yogart - I know it has milk - but it has many other supporting factors. It a tough change but you will adjust well and won't crave the other stuff after a while.
Avatar f tn Eat less carbs and high protein, healthy fat, limit your soda intake and drink plenty of water, green tea is proven to boost your metabolism but does not cause weight loss, drink 2/3 8oz cups a day, do not drink more than 3 cups for daily caffeine intake. Stay away from sugar, if possible use a sugar substitute and eat exact serving sizes, I've been using measureing cups.

Avatar n tn Well as a body builder it is normal for your creatine to be high. Know that creatine is naturally occuring in the body and is not harmful except for muscle cramping that can become severe. I would say your issues are from taking HGH (human growth hormone) and testosterone. HGH is banned from sport anyway so you should not be taking it legally.
973741 tn?1342342773 Long term, too much is harmful, just as is too little. Too much from red meat is harmful, so the source is important as well. What we don't have good data on is the long-term effects of a high protein diet that isn't too high, that doesn't go overboard, but so far the results are best for a good old balanced diet of healthy foods high in fish, veggies, and whole grains, and if you eat that way, you're really not going to get a high protein diet.
Avatar n tn s defenses). on the other hand, high protein diet also has its negative side, it can result to kidney troubles and accumulation of ammonia and other substances that are harmful in our body. the real secret here is BALANCE DIET. NOTHING IN EXCESS because too much of something (even if it's good) is still bad. try to see a nutritionist or dietitian for your diet diet counseling.
Avatar n tn Those diets are also unhealthy, as too much protein strains the kidneys and the supplements and shakes and all that contain a lot of harmful ingredients and produce a dietary imbalance. Better you learn to eat a healthy diet, high in antioxidant rich vegetables and essential fats with the proper balance of good carbs and protein and worry more about strength from the weight training than how you look.
Avatar f tn Many people with chronic liver disease are malnourished and require adequate protein to maintain a stable body weight. A diet with adequate protein and energy is therefore recommended. I have decompensated cirrhosis and HE and know many people who are very ill and waiting for a liver transplant. When you very ill and have end-stage liver disease patients have difficulty eating and suffer from muscle wasting because they don't get enough protein.
Avatar f tn I'm 17 wks pregnant and I just looked at test results and my protein is 7.0 and I read that its high risk 3.0 and up, waiting for Dr to call but I'm worried can anyone explain this to me please.

Avatar m tn For weeks I had really bad chronic abdominal pain on my right side. I couldn't laugh it hurt so bad. Then I had a MRI they said they saw stool. Now I went to the plasma center my protein levels were high so I couldn't give blood. They say my protein was high because fatty foods. 4900949 tn?1361380560 We need protein rich diet. And there even was a research that whey protein is good for hbv, but sorry i do not remember on what way.
Avatar f tn That helps. There is something called C Reactive protein that you would want to know if you have this in high levels along with the HDL. That's the harmful relationship. Another easy to read article to copy and paste. https://www.healthline.com/health/high-hdl#qampa-heart-attack-and-hdl-levels I would follow up with your doctor and talk about what you should do in order to investigate this high level of HDL. Do not stop any medication unless under guidance from your doctor.
Avatar m tn I'm not sure you have a plan. Keto diets have no proof they work long-term, but some obviously do have some good results or they would have disappeared. My own view is that all the fad diets are largely marketing devices and are not experience or science based, meaning someone makes them up based on some useful information but don't really know how humans should eat.
Avatar m tn You may be experincing hypoglycemia. If you take insulin you may be taking too much for the amount of food you are eating. As insulin helps the glucose get to the cells and tissue. If you are not taking insulin your body may be releasing a large amount of insulin in response to a meal high in carbohydrates. You need to find a balance as hypoglycemia can cause you to serious problems. I would talk to your dr.
Avatar f tn A successful diet plan should contain high protein diet, protein is useful in the matter of weight reduction in light of the fact that it is hard to process. This implies that you will feel full more aside from the way that protein makes you feel full quicker. Make sure, high protein eating plan just conveys extensive weight reduction results when the consumption of carbs is limited.
Avatar f tn t what you want, necessarily, what you want is a diet that avoids harmful cholesterol. There is also good cholesterol, and you don't want to cut down on that. If you eat a diet without hydrogenated vegetable oil, cut back on animal fat other than fish (and there are lean meats out there such as venison and buffalo). and eat a lot of antioxidant rich foods such as colored vegetables, you'll be fine.
Avatar n tn You have to have a healthy diet . Try a high protein and low carb diet . Drink water only and teas. Also try all natural supplements like garcinia cambogia . Walk a little bit everyday and build up your endurance . Have you every tried water aerobics ? It's easier on the bones .

1415174 tn?1453243103 There is so much literature out there that shows how bad it is to eat a high fat diet and too much meat. Yet a lot of people are on the Paleo diet including some friends. It is very acidic. Well, that is my opinion. Of course genetics plays a role too.
Avatar f tn Im losing weight due to only eating fruits and vegetables and im not sure if not getting any protein is harmful. i can imagine it would be but i try to eat nuts and eggs every now and then. Does any one else have this problem?
8734227 tn?1405101066 For the most part this is what we followed for our patients. Clearly this is just basic. You'll need to check with your provider on what is recommended for your needs. It's more about portion control than cutting things out completely. Obviously cut back if you're into sweets. Try to incorporate more fruits, vegetables and protein into your diet. Limit fruit juice to one glass daily. You'll be fine until tomorrow. Talk with doctor and see what they recommend for you.
