is endocet the same as percocet

I am having kidney stones and the doctor put me on Percocet and told me to stop the Norco..Is Percocet stronger than Norco? The stones are killing me.

s system is different as is their response to medications. Are you taking other meds that may be interacting with the Percocet? If not I would agree with Hollie that this may just be your response to the drug. I would report it to your physician or pharmacist and ask their opinion. This can be normal reaction for some ppl but if you develop any other symptoms be sure you seek medical attention.

Endocet is oxycodone aka percocet.... maybe they gave you some in the hospital and expected it to the positive or if you just took it, maybe it had not had the time to process and show in your urine...

Vicodin/Lortab/Hydrocodone-2.5 mg, 5mg 7.5 mg,(ES) 10 mg, they come with 500-750 mg of Acetem. Norco(=vicoden/hydrocodone too) 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, they usually come with 250 mg acetem.(Tylenol) Percocet/Percodan (Oxycodone) 5mg, 10mg anywhere from 250-750 mg (tylenol) Oxycontin usually comes in 10, 20,60,80 mg and typically doesn't have any tylenol. Morphine comes is pill form as well as intravenous for severe pain.

I dont sleep over two hours at once, up at 5am with the runs and withdraw next morning, go to bathroom, take shower, and start again. Duration of Endocet and percocet is one month. Alcohol is ten year. Xanax is 10 year. I do get two extra strength vicodins for DDD, but they hurt my stomach badly, so I take the Endocet and percocet. I have only two vicodins per day at my disposal, I have unlimited Xanax and Tylenol 3 at my disposal.

We are both afraid he will get in trouble though since he is no longer prescribed that. Is it the same thing, other than the tylenol, or will it be found on a mouth swab? Thanks for any advice!

Percocet, Roxicet, Tylox, Endocet You have to have the name of the medicine .. not just the oxy ingredient. It works for meds such as Percocet but not Percodan .. You need to use a bit of name brand inputting. I hope this is helpful. I apologize it took awhile to get the answer. Let me know if this now works for you.

roxicet is percocet, so is endocet...they are all the same drugs made by a different manufacturer...i have had them before, it has Acetaminophen in it...roxycodone doesnt. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

I was also on a rather large dose of percocets and as worried about the amount of tylenol I was consuming everyday. I brought this up to my doctor and he switched me to oxycodone. It's the same medicine (same narcotic) as in percocet, but with none of the tylenol. He told me to remember to take a tylenol should Iever get a headache though!

She also had 100 Oxycodone (empty), Naproxen (empty), Hydrocodone (empty) plus some others (empty) The 150 endocet were gone and 51 of the bottle of 90 (had 8 days) gone. The Oxy and other pills were from 2 other doctors, but isn't it the Doctor who should be reported if he is prescribing over 200 endocet within a month? I used to pride myself in my knowledge of pills and their contents and markings lol. A percocet or endocet is Oxycodone IR (instant release) or SR (sustained release). Lortab or more commonly referred to as Vicodin or Norco is Hydrocodone. They both contain aceitomeniphen which is tylenol.

K with it, just have to watch the acetaminophen amounts with the Endocet- in your case vicodin. Sorry I answered when you clearly directed the question to the doctor- but your situation is so similar to mine I felt compelled. Good luck.

Just trying to be accurate and stick to the facts.. Although it is a strong narcotic opiate pain killer as well as Vicodin/Narco it is different also.. Dr's and most people I know are aware that oxycodone is a much stronger opiate than hydrocodone! Plus the strongest dosage of hydrocodone is 10mg if I am not mistaken(unless a special mixture of pill has been requested to be made by a pharmacist), but oxycodone has came as high as 160mg pill form in a time-released pill(oxycontin)..

I have a cardiac pacemaker and a Gastric pacemaker. As one thing at a time gets attacked. The latest is I get tingling in my legs and arms/hands. I as of about 8 months ago have extremely painfull legs. It almost feels like I'm just walking on bones. Extreme pain in feet,ankles,legs,and knees sometimes hips and low back. I'm so scared it's going to spread to other parts of my body. I have tried Baclofen,lyrica, and tramadol.

My routine is as I described and I wish to quit the endocet as they are not prescribed. Can I stop? Can I use my Xanax and Tylenol 3 or my vicodin to ween off? Will the long term alcohol be a problem, it doesnt seem like much to me. I do wake up in withdraw every morning, I have cold hands and feet when I wake. How di I detox at home and will it be hard. I have kicked heroin when I was young and I am scared to kick these.

Hi Chuck, I was on about the same doses of Oxycontin and Percocet as you--except I was on 40mg Oxycontin twice a day. I was taking the maximum number of percocet that I could for breakthrough, and I was getting no pain relief from any of it, mostly because I'd become tolerant to the medications. We switched my prescription to Hydromorph Contin and Dilaudid for breakthrough, and the pain relief is amazing for me, with minimal side effects. So, I have had great success with this change.

I have horrible stomach pain in my abdomen and bloating. Could this all be from the pills I took? Would the side effects last this long?

I have never heard of outdated pain meds hurting anyone but they may not be as effective. At the same time I personally would never tell anyone to take outdated meds either. Do you have a more specific example you want advice on?

I am SO sorry to hear about your husbands horiffic pain levels currently. I happened to have taken all the meds he is currently on so do know a little about them. I was up to 900mg of Gabapentin daily and my Dr finally switched me over to Lyrica which did work better than the Gabapentin, it is mostly used to treat Fibromyalgia but also works well for nerve type pain. I still take Endocet 10/325mg but only 20mg a day for breakthrough pain. WOW, is he really taking 8-10 10mg Endocet daily?

Has noone explained the medication to you? If you are in pain, get the endocet filled. It is just as good as the roxicet.
