invega vs geodon

I started to take invega because risperidone was making me gain a lot of weight. I changed but I can't lose that weight. I was already taking sertraline I still take it. I stopped having my period when on invega and Pregnancy is not on the table already done the test. Can anyone help me?

hi ,my grandaughter used to take seraquel and made her a mess well now she takes invega and has really helped her and she is adhd to and take straterra in the am and invega at night....she is going to be 9 next month...might be something you want to check into...invega is pretty new i believe ...take care ....

most of the drugs like abilify , geodon, and invega have not combated the paranoia or delusional thoughts or the concentration so i was wondering if other drugs like adderall help at all?

I'm on 3 mood stablizers including Lamictal. I think maybe the anti-psychotic needs to be changed. I'm on a high dose of Invega and it doesn't seem to be working (obviously). Geodon helped more but it's so expensive. You know what I could get samples till the end of the year when my prescription insurance kicks back in. I'm tired of this.

I took Geodon but not with Triliptal also. I was allergic to Geodon, but that was my body.

i was on invega for 3 years at 8 mg a day and i was wondering if invega can cause you to gain weight and have blood clots in your legs

Well,I'm not on the Invega anymore.Seemed too strong for me.Now I'm on Lamictal,Seroquel,Xanax,and Propranolol.I just had my thyroid tested and I'm borderline Hyperthyroid.I have read that either Bipolar can cause Hyperthyroid,Hyperthyroid can cause Bipolar,or it just plain mimics Bipolar disorder.Now I have to make an appt with an endocrinologist to see what to do about this.Has anyone else heard of this before?

How does one switch from Risperdal Consta (50mg Q2wks) to Invega Sustenna??

I have been taking invega sustenna (antipsychotic) injection every month for over a year now and since then have no semen coming out when I ejaculate and have no pleasure from the orgasm at all... could this be permanent?

is anyone out there to help me deal with withdrawals from invega 3mg...put on as a trial basis, now can't afford the medicine.. and my xanax was stolen last week.... i have none.. i don't abuse my meds.. never had this problem before.. in a bad state now for several days that keeps getting worse by the day...don't wanna look bad to my dr.. he has helped me with my ptsd...so hurt and don't understand what my head is doing.. the medicine was working.

As you will know Seroquel is a very calming anti psychotic, whereas Invega is quite agitating, I think by dropping the Invega you will have a lot less side effects ( fingers crossed ) You might feel quite drowsy for a few weeks because of the Seroquel but the extra 50mg he has given you isn't going to be too harsh, my doc usually increases my Seroquel by 100mg. With it being the XR version as well, you will have less drowsiness.

Hi 7 months ago i was given a drug called invega that is time released and i was instructed to cut it n half and take it wich almost killed me. This drug is known for causing arythmias by prolongation of the QT interval. I have since stoped taking the invega. I dont take any drug, not even asprin.

I am going through my 3rd bout of panic attacks (lasting 1+ weeks VS. one every once in a while). 1st time I was about 14, 2nd time 27, & now again @ 32. I take Lexapro & usually only take .25 mg Xanax on an 'as needed' basis but have been taking one every 6hrs for almost a week since this 3rd bout started. Some days are better than others & I am trying to cope the best I know how. I saw a new therapist that I like very much for the 2nd time yesturday.

but I have read Invega may cause thyroid issues. If this is so, is it reversible once you stop taking Invega? I'm very concerned! Please help.

thank you for the info on Lamictal, but does anyone take Geodon? I take 40mg Geodon and Lamictal. I do feel so much better,but i was wondering more about the Geodon side effects. I feel alittle more anixous im wondering if it is the Geodon.

I am on wellbutrin,klonopin,depakote, invega and ambien. I stopped invega due to pdoc but see him on monday. Nerves get out of control for me a lot of the time like daily. I get at the worst on the weekends when everything is winding down from my week that is stressfull. just don't think its the meds doing it to me. and why should I be differnt than I have been before I lose it and yell alot but that is me.

Hello I am a 21 year old male I have been taking medicine since about 17 or 18 and been diagnosed with schizophrenia at age 19 I have been taking invega sustenna since august 2020. I stopped for a month or two then resumed up until now. I took the 156 mg most of the time then the 234 for a few months back to 156 down to 117 mg.

HEy guys Ive been on lamictal for a while now and invega and ive been doing pretty good, Id say about 70 percent of where I feel I should be. I still feel a lil sad at times but overall Im in a constructive mindset. My therapis talked about adding an anti depressent in the future if I want so im wondering which one works for yall? I dont want one with sexual side effects(negative) she recommended wellbutrin. How should I feel on this if I decide to take it?

So I'm taking 40mg of Geodon for bipolar, though no psychotic symptoms. Now I know bipolar alone should deter me from taking mushrooms, and honestly I'm sure it will. And I know mixing recreational drugs with psychatric meds is a bad idea. Nevertheess, I have a question concerning the interaction between Geodon and psilocybin. From what I've read, psilocybin is an agonist to the 5HT2 serotonin receptor, which I assume means that it increases serotonin.

Geodon I gained no weight from but Abilify I did but I think it's because it made me start eating more.

I have been on Wellbutrin off and on for 10 years, on Cymbalta for 4-5 years and Geodon for 4 years. I have been on Geodon 40 mg at times, but recently for the last year or so, on 20 mg. Recently, my psychiatrist bumped me up to 40 mg again. It seems like the last time I was on 40 mg, I also had anxiety and obsessive thoughts. Anyone ever taken geodon with serequel?( rapid weight gain Being wean off geodon from 80 twice a day now 40 twice a day. If I stop taking geodon will I be able to lose weight? Do serequel cause weight gain? (200 at bed time) It sure helps me sleep.Dr will replace geodon with Lamictal and tompamax. Thanks for any feed back.

That actually appears to be one side effect of Geodon but given that all (current) antipsychotics have anti-cholinergic side effects that could happen with any antipsychotic and given that people react differently to each one perhaps it was the medication you were transferred to rather than the Geodon helping it as Geodon is less likely to cause anti-cholinergic effects than some other antipsychotics.
