612205 tn?1225594910 I don't know if it's habit forming, but my doctor thought about putting me on neurotin for nerve pain. She said it works really well for that.
Avatar m tn i was on invega for 3 years at 8 mg a day and i was wondering if invega can cause you to gain weight and have blood clots in your legs
Avatar f tn Well,I'm not on the Invega anymore.Seemed too strong for me.Now I'm on Lamictal,Seroquel,Xanax, and Propranolol.I just had my thyroid tested and I'm borderline Hyperthyroid.I have read that either Bipolar can cause Hyperthyroid,Hyperthyroid can cause Bipolar,or it just plain mimics Bipolar disorder. Now I have to make an appt with an endocrinologist to see what to do about this.Has anyone else heard of this before?
Avatar m tn Oh, and milk would not be "habit forming.
Avatar n tn How does one switch from Risperdal Consta (50mg Q2wks) to Invega Sustenna??
Avatar n tn benzos like xanax, valium and klonopin are not designed to be sleeping meds and anything u use for sleep can be psychologically habit forming but benzos are physically habit forming as well....dalmane and restoril are 2 benzos made for sleep...habit forming tho....maybe break ur pills into quarters or thirds...and go down a small piece each week...OTC meds like valerian root or melatonin may help..tylenol pm...
Avatar n tn I'm looking for a relatively mild, non-habit-forming, liver-friendly sleep aid, either prescription or over-the-counter. Is there anything out there that you all have had success with? Thanks much in advance.
Avatar m tn I have been taking invega sustenna (antipsychotic) injection every month for over a year now and since then have no semen coming out when I ejaculate and have no pleasure from the orgasm at all... could this be permanent?
11055444 tn?1414944590 is anyone out there to help me deal with withdrawals from invega 3mg...put on as a trial basis, now can't afford the medicine.. and my xanax was stolen last week.... i have none.. i don't abuse my meds.. never had this problem before.. in a bad state now for several days that keeps getting worse by the day...don't wanna look bad to my dr.. he has helped me with my ptsd...so hurt and don't understand what my head is doing.. the medicine was working.
Avatar f tn As you will know Seroquel is a very calming anti psychotic, whereas Invega is quite agitating, I think by dropping the Invega you will have a lot less side effects ( fingers crossed ) You might feel quite drowsy for a few weeks because of the Seroquel but the extra 50mg he has given you isn't going to be too harsh, my doc usually increases my Seroquel by 100mg. With it being the XR version as well, you will have less drowsiness.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know how to loose weight on an antipsychotic like invega sustenna. I have tried fasting I am possibly going to continue it. But I can’t keep workouts consistent.

912156 tn?1242874384 Hi 7 months ago i was given a drug called invega that is time released and i was instructed to cut it n half and take it wich almost killed me. This drug is known for causing arythmias by prolongation of the QT interval. I have since stoped taking the invega. I dont take any drug, not even asprin.
Avatar m tn I am not sure how many of you are familiar with, or are looking for a non habit forming sleep aid. My doctor put me on a drug called Trazadone when I was going through Sub W/D's. It is actually an anti depressant and one of the side effects is it knocks you out. So it is a tremendous sleep aid, especially when you are suffering from chronic RLS and other annoying side effects of withdrawals.
Avatar f tn So I have this problem that if I have a skin abnormality, I have to pick it until it bleeds. I had a raised red spot on my inner thigh, and I thought it could've been a pimple forming. It was a wider area than a pimple would've taken up, though. I scratched, squeezed, and picked until I broke the skin. There was no tingling, and it's not that painful. However, there was clear fluid coming out of it. Could that have been herpes blisters forming?
20914619 tn?1637171288 but I have read Invega may cause thyroid issues. If this is so, is it reversible once you stop taking Invega? I'm very concerned! Please help.
Avatar f tn Ambien can be habit forming if taken long enough it relaxes so you can sleep. Percocet is very habit forming, mixing these drugs with out your Dr. advice may be dangerous so you may need to see him or her. Tapering will be your best way to slow down the dosage, dont try to quit cold turkey it could do you more harm than go. Get help let us no how your doing.
Avatar n tn I started to take invega because risperidone was making me gain a lot of weight. I changed but I can't lose that weight. I was already taking sertraline I still take it. Avatar f tn I am on wellbutrin, klonopin, depakote, invega and ambien. I stopped invega due to pdoc but see him on monday. Nerves get out of control for me a lot of the time like daily. I get at the worst on the weekends when everything is winding down from my week that is stressfull. just don't think its the meds doing it to me. and why should I be differnt than I have been before I lose it and yell alot but that is me.

Avatar n tn HEy guys Ive been on lamictal for a while now and invega and ive been doing pretty good, Id say about 70 percent of where I feel I should be. I still feel a lil sad at times but overall Im in a constructive mindset. My therapis talked about adding an anti depressent in the future if I want so im wondering which one works for yall? I dont want one with sexual side effects(negative) she recommended wellbutrin. How should I feel on this if I decide to take it?
Avatar f tn Nope!Wellbutrin is neither habit forming nor mood altering!
Avatar n tn it was originally advertised as not being habit forming but it affects the same receptors as narcotics do...tram also has an antidepressant componenet which makes wd even more difficult due to the depression factor during detox...it is supposedly not "as" habit forming as other narcotics like hydrocodone or oxycodone if taken as prescribed...but the drug is often abused and therefore habitforming..and can be at the recommended dose as well if addiction is a problem...
Avatar m tn Is the clonidine habit forming. My pain doctor will prescribe it, but my family doctor prescribed Valium for the anxiety, I was having heart palpitations from the anxiety. I'm hesitant to take the Valium, since it can be habit forming.
Avatar f tn You can try taking things like Tylenol PM. You dont always have to go to the heavier drugs. It worked for me when I went cold turkey... It helps you relax and helps you sleep well. Most of all its least likely thing to be habit forming. You can also try xanax, thats what i've now been taking its an anti anxiety medicine helps with RLS and sleep and anxiety. But that is easily habit forming. I wish you luck!
792787 tn?1259877840 first off, congrats on day 8, seems like the worst part is behind you!!! second, i'm not a doc, but I'm pretty dure your body naturally produces Melatonin, so I dont think it's bad for you to take. I dont think it's habit forming like those prescription sleep pills. Same with the Magnesium... You're doing Great!
