Avatar f tn My doctor is weaning me off invega. He has me on a lower dose 3 mg for a week. Then I discontinue it. He is hoping my other antipsychotic, seroquel xr will be enough. He raised that from 150 to 200 Mgs. Anyone have experience coming off antipsychotics?
Avatar n tn HEy guys Ive been on lamictal for a while now and invega and ive been doing pretty good, Id say about 70 percent of where I feel I should be. I still feel a lil sad at times but overall Im in a constructive mindset. My therapis talked about adding an anti depressent in the future if I want so im wondering which one works for yall? I dont want one with sexual side effects(negative) she recommended wellbutrin. How should I feel on this if I decide to take it?

Avatar m tn antidepressants, lexzapro, paxil, pristique, invega, and now just stopped remeron and am starting all over with a low dose of zoloft 25mg. with the xanax, the xanax only works for me slightly because my body is so used to it. in years past ive been tapered down only to have to have it increased slowly as not to reach the peak dose. the only substitute for xanax is klonapin which ive used in the past, then switched to give my body a break from xanax.
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing high nerves in my arms and face and was wanting to know how long it will take wellbutrin, klonopin, depakote and invega to begin working. Or is there something that I can do to make these feelings to go away.

Avatar m tn I have been being treated with psych meds even though I was tested negative for mental illness, three of the psych meds have effected my sexual health (resperdon, resperdal and invega sustaina) At times I could not get a erection and on the lower dose I am able to get a erection a week and a half after my injection which is once every four weeks. I also noticed my gonads became smaller..
912156 tn?1242874384 Hi 7 months ago i was given a drug called invega that is time released and i was instructed to cut it n half and take it wich almost killed me. Avatar n tn s only 2 options which are Invega and the other one I think is rispidol which she basically said invega converts into that or vise versa so basically they said I'm stuck on this one medication and it's been making me heavily depressed I've been having face twitches and leg jerks towards night time. As well as sensations going through my body everytime something stress related happens or even a muscle twitch could set that off.
20914619 tn?1637171288 but I have read Invega may cause thyroid issues. If this is so, is it reversible once you stop taking Invega? I'm very concerned! Please help.
Avatar n tn I started to take invega because risperidone was making me gain a lot of weight. I changed but I can't lose that weight. I was already taking sertraline I still take it. I get at the worst on the weekends when everything is winding down from my week that is stressfull. just don't think its the meds doing it to me. and why should I be differnt than I have been before I lose it and yell alot but that is me.
Avatar m tn In July 2008 I switched over from Zoloft and Invega to Wellbutrin and Cymbalta. At that time, these were my only medications. In August 08, when I stood up from my chair, my legs had terrible tremors. They were so bad that I had to hold onto the desk. This still happens today. I also experience leg tremors when descending stairs - but not going up. I get minor tremors while going from a standing to a sitting position. My right hand has started to tremor - kind of fast but mild.
341190 tn?1295467125 Thanks so much for that, means i have more to say at the docs, as for an increase in dose, what dose, doc keeps saying i am borderline and if he were to give me meds for thyroid he would be struck off, saying my symptoms of extreme tiredness, dizziness, headaches, brain fog, dry skin, to name but a few are symptoms of depression, i wont be surprised if i really do go into full depression with the way i feel, cant get out of bed some days, i have no life at the moment, im hoping if i go on and on

Avatar f tn Many of us have found that we needed FT4 at least at mid-range, and FT3 in the upper third of its range, or as needed to relieve symptoms. Your FT4 is a bit low but the main problem causing those symptoms would be your FT3, which is only at 30% of a range that is far too broad. So being in the low end of the range is frequently inadequate. FT3 is the thyroid hormone used by all the cells of the body to produce needed energy.
539549 tn?1315981662 Temporary movement disorders are common with (currently available) antipsychotics such including Invega. If you recieved permission from your psychiatrist to raise the dose ask them to prescribe a side effect pill that will help mitigate that those symptoms.
Avatar f tn A quarter grain is a very conservative dose, but I could be more specific if you post the lab work that led to her decision (with reference ranges from your own lab report, please). "She is also waiting 6 weeks to recheck and then only doing TSH as she says I don't need the T3 and T4 checked anymore since surgery." Six weeks is too long when actively adjusting meds. Four weeks is plenty of time. She's dead wrong about just testing TSH.
4544656 tn?1371593548 However some people on NDT often have their T3 high in the range and their FT4 are very low in the range and they too feel bad. You seem to not have that problem. So again my layman's recommendation is to slow down with adjustments and be patient and take things slowly. See what happens and you MAY findout that they symptoms are lagging. Also your FT3 levels can rise for a while after a dosage as the conversion of the FT4 into FT3 occurs w hich can take weeks.
