Common Questions and Answers about Invega dosage range

invega

Avatar n tn My wife was put on Invega for 7 days while she was in a psychiatric facility (6mg twice a day). She stopped taking it the minute she was released. It's been almost a month since she's had her last dosage. She now has hand tremors and is totally exhausted all the time. I know these are symptoms of the drug.. now long can she expect to have these symptoms? How long does it take for the drug to be completely out of her body?
Avatar m tn i was on invega for 3 years at 8 mg a day and i was wondering if invega can cause you to gain weight and have blood clots in your legs
Avatar f tn Well,I'm not on the Invega anymore.Seemed too strong for me.Now I'm on Lamictal,Seroquel,Xanax, and Propranolol.I just had my thyroid tested and I'm borderline Hyperthyroid.I have read that either Bipolar can cause Hyperthyroid,Hyperthyroid can cause Bipolar,or it just plain mimics Bipolar disorder. Now I have to make an appt with an endocrinologist to see what to do about this.Has anyone else heard of this before?
Avatar m tn From your test results your Free T4 was a bit lower than we normally suggest, which is middle of the range, at minimum. Your Free T3 is even lower in its range, which shows that your body is not converting T4 to T3 very well. Free T3 is the thyroid hormone that correlates best with symptoms. Many members say that symptom relief required Free T4 at the middle of its range, and Free T3 in the upper third of its range, or as necessary to relieve symptoms.
Avatar n tn My friend was hospitalized and put on Zyprexa, Trileptal and Invega over a period of 21 days. Now he's been released but can not afford the drugs so he hasn't taken taken any for 5 days. The invega was only given to him 6 days ago, and is a monthly injection, so the withdrawl for that hasn't started yet. I know one isn't supposed to just stop anti-psychotics but he hasn't been able to get Medicare and I don't think he'll manage it right now. So this is his reality...
Avatar f tn We all need to find our optimal range and not just a normal range. Shoot for a lower TSH and a higher free t3 (will probably have to have t3 added in to get there) with a mid range freet4 and see how you feel? If your doctor will not check the freet3 level, then find one who will.
Avatar n tn How does one switch from Risperdal Consta (50mg Q2wks) to Invega Sustenna??
Avatar m tn I have been taking invega sustenna (antipsychotic) injection every month for over a year now and since then have no semen coming out when I ejaculate and have no pleasure from the orgasm at all... could this be permanent?
11055444 tn?1414944590 is anyone out there to help me deal with withdrawals from invega 3mg...put on as a trial basis, now can't afford the medicine.. and my xanax was stolen last week.... i have none.. i don't abuse my meds.. never had this problem before.. in a bad state now for several days that keeps getting worse by the day...don't wanna look bad to my dr.. he has helped me with my ptsd...so hurt and don't understand what my head is doing.. the medicine was working.
Avatar f tn As you will know Seroquel is a very calming anti psychotic, whereas Invega is quite agitating, I think by dropping the Invega you will have a lot less side effects ( fingers crossed ) You might feel quite drowsy for a few weeks because of the Seroquel but the extra 50mg he has given you isn't going to be too harsh, my doc usually increases my Seroquel by 100mg. With it being the XR version as well, you will have less drowsiness.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know how to loose weight on an antipsychotic like invega sustenna. I have tried fasting I am possibly going to continue it. But I can’t keep workouts consistent.
Avatar n tn I went online to check my lab results on 4-26-13 B12 542 range (211-946) on 10-14-13 4.98 range (211-946) TSH 9-5-12 1.39 range (.27 -4.2) on 9-25-13 TSH 5.5 range (.27-4.2}. All that was done was the TSH. The only one who did a tsh and free t4 was the renal doctor on 10-25-13. I reduced it from 112 mcg to 100 mcg.

Avatar n tn t apply to everyone) is that FT4 should be about mid range and FT3 should be in the upper 1/3 of its range. Your FT4 is only at 36% of the range and we have no idea about FT3, so we don't know if you are converting the FT4 to FT3 adequately or not. You should ask for the FT3 test, next time you get TSH and FT4; if she refuses, you should probably find another doctor, because one who refuses to look at FT3, and/or doses based on TSH, will keep you very ill.
912156 tn?1242874384 Hi 7 months ago i was given a drug called invega that is time released and i was instructed to cut it n half and take it wich almost killed me. This drug is known for causing arythmias by prolongation of the QT interval. I have since stoped taking the invega. I dont take any drug, not even asprin.
Avatar f tn I will not say that there is never a time to stop the medicine because I understand some valid reasons why it can be time to go up on a dosage, down on a dosage, or stop a medicine altogether. I did this under the care of a dr for several years but am able to do it on my own now. I can only tell you why I can and why a person shouldn't. First off, I can stop my Seroquel now when it is time because I have a great awareness of myself and my mind.
20914619 tn?1637171288 but I have read Invega may cause thyroid issues. If this is so, is it reversible once you stop taking Invega? I'm very concerned! Please help.

Avatar f tn I am on wellbutrin, klonopin, depakote, invega and ambien. I stopped invega due to pdoc but see him on monday. Nerves get out of control for me a lot of the time like daily. I get at the worst on the weekends when everything is winding down from my week that is stressfull. just don't think its the meds doing it to me. and why should I be differnt than I have been before I lose it and yell alot but that is me.
Avatar n tn Is that T4 result for free T4 or total T4. Also, what is its reference range shown on the lab report? Have you ever had the most important thyroid test, for free T3 (FT3)? Free T3 is four times as active as FT4, plus FT3 correlates best with hypo symptoms, including low metabolism. If you haven't been tested for free T3, that should be done.
Avatar f tn 40) is 57% of range. You have to divide 1.06 by the width of the range (1.4 - 0.6 = 0.8), not by the top of the range. 1.06 / 0.8 = 57%. In two weeks, it will be how long since you adjusted Synthroid?
Avatar f tn Hello I am a 21 year old male I have been taking medicine since about 17 or 18 and been diagnosed with schizophrenia at age 19 I have been taking invega sustenna since august 2020. I dont want one with sexual side effects(negative) she recommended wellbutrin. How should I feel on this if I decide to take it?
1327431 tn?1327072104 There is no normal range with thyroid, every person has an optimal range where the have no symptoms, the problem today with thyroid is that many mds still use an old reference range for TSH as an example, some go by .05 to 5.5, some 0.4 to 4.5 and the better one use .03 to 3.
