invega and hyperglycemia

i was on invega for 3 years at 8 mg a day and i was wondering if invega can cause you to gain weight and have blood clots in your legs

m a 37 yo female and have been diagnosed as schizoaffective with bipolar features, and in May was started on Invega 224 mg injectable and 12 mg oral once daily along side Topomax 10mg once daily. But since being prescribed the Invega in May I've gained significant weight (30 lbs) being the heaviest I've ever been in my life. My hair is growing in darker and coarser, and I've been battling extreme depression. Usually an active person I cant seem to motivate myself to do anything.

the other 3 I cant remember but it made me feel so doped up I switched docs and and she put me on 2 celexa and zyprexa and they have worked wonderful for me. No dopey drugged feeling. Just nice stable everyday normal living. Its seems to me that alot of docs tend to overprescribe when all is need for bi polar is a good mood stabilizer and a good anti depressant I could be wrong since I am not a doc . I am just a bi polar (in remission lol)who has been on alot of meds.

I was on Risperdal for 2 years and I noticed that at the end of the day it would wear off. so my doc put me invega sustenna and my wife noticed the difference pretty quickly. I am taking Gedon too and I am very happy with the effects.

Should I stop consuming cannabis with invega sustenna? And if I don’t what are the interactions I was just told it causes sedation.

As you will know Seroquel is a very calming anti psychotic, whereas Invega is quite agitating, I think by dropping the Invega you will have a lot less side effects ( fingers crossed ) You might feel quite drowsy for a few weeks because of the Seroquel but the extra 50mg he has given you isn't going to be too harsh, my doc usually increases my Seroquel by 100mg. With it being the XR version as well, you will have less drowsiness.

invega is an antipsychotic for schizophrenia. Do you have that? And you really can't just up and quit these meds, especially Xanax -- they can have a wallop of a withdrawal. You have to stop them slowly. You say you have PTSD -- were you in the military? I ask because most drug companies have programs to help people who can't afford medication, and veterans are better treated than others in this regard.

Hi 7 months ago i was given a drug called invega that is time released and i was instructed to cut it n half and take it wich almost killed me. This drug is known for causing arythmias by prolongation of the QT interval. I have since stoped taking the invega. I dont take any drug, not even asprin.

I have been having this very annoying and scary behavior for the past few days. It all started with me waking up in the middle of the night and as I was trying to fall back asleep, there were words and visions (sometimes scary) just constantly flashing in my head and racing. I don't hear anything. It's just thoughts. Ever since then, when I watch TV, I repeat in my head everything they say.

You should get a second opinion as you may have been misdiagnosed. Ask to see an Endocrinologist - a diabetes specialist - for a second opinion. To my knowledge, shaking leans more towards hypoglycemia [type 1] than hyperglycemia [type 2] [see the following].

I am on wellbutrin,klonopin,depakote, invega and ambien. I stopped invega due to pdoc but see him on monday. Nerves get out of control for me a lot of the time like daily. I get at the worst on the weekends when everything is winding down from my week that is stressfull. just don't think its the meds doing it to me. and why should I be differnt than I have been before I lose it and yell alot but that is me.

I take Invega Sustenna. While my oxygen level is normal, I seem to have reduced po2 and oxyhgb, which is indicators of poor oxygen status. A doctor said this might be felt as dizziness. I want to make these tests again, but because of my diagnosis of schizophrenia, they usually attribute my dizziness to anxiety or side effects. Its been on going for 3 months, but recently got better as I took less Invega. Then it got a little worse again, and I cant say if my sleeping problems is the cause.

HEy guys Ive been on lamictal for a while now and invega and ive been doing pretty good, Id say about 70 percent of where I feel I should be. I still feel a lil sad at times but overall Im in a constructive mindset. My therapis talked about adding an anti depressent in the future if I want so im wondering which one works for yall? I dont want one with sexual side effects(negative) she recommended wellbutrin. How should I feel on this if I decide to take it?

ve perused the internet regarding the connection between hyperglycemia and primary HIV infection and have found absolutely nothing. Still though, I am terribly concerned. I'll be receiving my HIV test results this monday. Am I being paranoid?

You have posted on the type 2 forum, hyperglycemia, not type 1 aka juvenile diabetes. Prepare yourself to ask your doctor questions by using Google and search on 'hyperglycemia testing' and/or 'type 1 diabetes testing'. Also, call the doctor's office and ask if you should fast 8-10 hours prior. To add to allymarbles, an endocrinologist is a doctor who specializes in diabetes care and treatment. Most PCP's know only basic care - here take this pill, call me later.

There is much info on diabetics with hyperglycemia but very little on one that have hyperglycemia. I have a low sugar problem, that go to hypoglycemic symptoms, and doctors that only treat high sugar oroblems. Where can I find info on treatment of my type diabetic?

i take 800 mg of lithuim, 60mg of citalopram for my dipolar II disorder and 125mg of levothyroxine for my underactive thyrod i seem to have problems with my sex drive i never want it could it be the meds
