I would start by telling him/her about her addiction so that s/he can refer her to an inpatient rehab center. When she is done with rehab, she can go to Narcotics Anon meetings, and see/do whatever else they recommend at the rehab center.
Now, there are doctors that specialize in addiction and pain management, but it really seems like she needs to get into rehab...fast.
Hopefully others with more experience will chime in.
is there is a necessary for TALWIN addiction to go in a rehab center or it can cure even at home & for this addiction which faculty doctor or physician to consult bcz basically i m from india & do not know from whom to get advice for talwin addiction

I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment. They tested me when I got there but the results didn't come back until 7 days into treatment. I was already out of detox. So I chose to stay clean and not get back on anything. They wanted to put me back on methadone which is what they used to wean me off the oxy contin.
what is the safest and quickest way to overcome an addiction to inhaling nitrous oxide gas? Are there any good rehab facilities?
My step daughter is now court ordered into rehab for roxy addiction. I don't know alot about this and I am just trying to figure out what she is going through and when she might be feeling better.
She is just 20 and has been on Roxy's for about 3 years. I am very worried about her and am just wondering what is happening with her. She went in last Tuesday, so it has been 6 days.

I know quiting cold turkey is VERY BAD!!!! When I was in rehab the people who were taking Benzo's were given some sort of Anti seizure medication at the Rehab. So either talk to your Doctor or call a Treatment Center ASAP ...
if your daughter wants to go to treatment and can't afford it, get ahold of your local CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY CENTER. most if not all county's have one. from there she can be assessed, see a councilor, and possibly get into your state in-patient chemical dependency center. i went to my state's in-patient treatment center and it was really great, very structured and it was free.

As far as a Rehab Center No ive got to many things goin on for me to go to Rehab but what ive had in mind was just going cold turkey or try to just take my Morning Dose and Night before i sleep because thats were i really really need it.. What do you guys think? What would be the best way to go? And whats TAPER mean exactly?

After my husband was out of the inpatient rehab center he was sent to a HealthSouth Out Patient center. They were wonderful. They worked with my husband three days a week (speech, occupational and physical) and he has improved considerably. The outpatient therapy lasted about 2 months and now my husband is basically doing everything himself. Only thing I have to do is remind him to take his pills.
t either before, but do now. Addiction *****, but we can break this cycle. There is help out there and rehab is not the only option. Have you ever thought about trying N/A or any other aftercare to stay clean.
I think the fact you have told people and admitted your problem is a HUGE step and should be very proud of yourself for that. Keeping it a secret keeps us sick. Stick around this is a great support group. Look in the top right of this page.
This is something I need to know too... I don't have insurance and need a detox/rehab that will work with me.
how do you get professional help for substance abuse and addiction when you have no money? Is there anything out there that like that? And if you need specifics, we will need the treatment in central Kentucky or near Gainesville, Florida.

Good luck on this one. We have lost 2 cars, utility shut offs due to my husbands " I just needed" cermon. Subbies, methadone are not going to work unless monitored by a professional. If mine cant get hands on subbies then " oh I had to buy sum oxy" bcuz i cant get subbies. Mine has been to rehab n has never been able to beat his demon. Subs are just as bad as the opiate itself n they think they are ok cuz not on opiates.
