The Heart Rhythm Society did a few randomized trials to assess the efficacy of calcium channel blockers, beta-blockers and digoxin in SVT. A comparison of verapamil, propranolol and digoxin showed equivalent efficacy in a small group of patients. However, in general calcium channel blockers and beta-blockers are preferred to digoxin. Digoxin has been around for a long time! I used Digoxin over 50 years ago for my PSVT, and my recollection was that it did little to prevent episodes.
I am on Crestor, Atenolol, Cartia and Digoxin and Synthroid. I had Tachicardia and Atrial Fib.

Yes, with the pacemaker, you still can feel the irregular pulses. It depends the programming what the doc set to. If he set to permanent pace at ventricle then you might be unable to feel one.

At 240 mg, I experienced severe palpitations which woke me up at night, caused shortness of breath, and fullness in my neck. When I decreased the dose to 120 mg, the palpitations resolved.
My husband and I would like to start trying for a baby but i'm on Betablockers for a tachycardia that no-one can find a reason for! i'm only on 1.25mg of bisoprolol, and would like to know what risks there are. I was wondering if anyone here knows if there is a negative interaction between the two. I am starting on Sevalla now (for fibromyalgia) and am in a state with legal medical marijuana (colorado). Does anyone know of any side-effects between the two? Or do i have to stick with just Savella altogether? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
btw if you see a neurologist ask about verapamil... cuz it will keep your blood pressure lower... since yours seems to elevate and then you get a headache and get dizzy. its a very good drug im on it and it helps with all of those :) and the others are right about panic attack it could be that too but it if it happening with other people not just your boss then i think its more likely a headache kind of thing. hope this helped!
I took verapamil for a couple of months (for PVC's) and it made things worse, so I went back to my BB but I can understand if you can not take that particular RX. It's prob worth a try, tho.
I was taking verapamil for my tachycardia, I'm not sure about those side effects but you can definitely google verapamil and it should explain all side effects... I had an allergic reaction to it so I had to stop it... Now I'm on something I can't pronounce or spell, so I would look it up or even talk to your doctor about it and see if there is something else that you can take maybe a calcium channeller vs the beta blocker...
