Common Questions and Answers about Inpatient rehab in alabama

rehab

Avatar f tn I did understand and I did read your whole post. There is a difference in outpatient aftercare (NA, PA, AA) and inpatient aftercare (rehab). Rehab is obviously more intense and safer and a great thing if you're falling apart. I went and it didn't haunt me through my personal health record. It is expensive....but can you really put a price on your life and family and well being and happiness? Insurance, many times, will cover it....opiates are sometimes not covered...
Avatar f tn Well I leave Thursdays to do an inpatient detox and rehab. After several surgeries I became dependent on oxycodone 15mg 5xday. When I first realized I was addicted I tried to ct and ended up passing out due to my Bp dropping. Then I decided to taper but my dr stopped that as well because they said I needed to have a 3rd back surgery even tho my last one was in April. I'm not walking correctly, kinda hunched over.
Avatar m tn does anyone know how much it cost to goto rehab if udont have ins.? im hooked on percs for almost 2 yrs and want my life back!! i tried to wean down just had no luck and cold turkey didnt work. please help!!
Avatar m tn in regards to getting myself an inpatient program as the life of on and off is one of pure insanity.Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn inpatient rehab is a must for some, and i have been to a couple.
Avatar f tn I went to a place in Alabama that had the kind of cabin in the woods feel. It was for any addicts , but specialized in health care workers, dentists, doctors, nurses and animal care professionals I was only there for 21 days because of insurance and it was well over $25,000. So ten grand might not go far in a spa like rehab.
Avatar m tn He snorts coke, Addarall and Ritalin, the guy leaves paraphernalia all around his house and still denies usage. He is currently on methadone which is just a free drug to him at this point. Before drug use he was an extremely stable family man. Once he go involved in the drug world, he assaulted a guy while high and claimed insanity. He still served time but he Really played it up saying he hears voices and has extreme paranoia. (only when he is high mind you.

Avatar n tn We are in TX and found that the outpatient rehab that was affiliated with the inpatient rehab hospital that my husband was in had water therapy.
Avatar f tn After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?
Avatar m tn You are not only there to detox, they teach you a lot about co-occurring disorders (addiction usually occurs after some kind of trigger) Coping skills, the rewiring of you mental facets begin in inpatient rehab. If you go I highly recommend that you participate in every group activiity while there and fully commit to your sobriety.
6815927 tn?1395511425 If I remember correctly, you're trying to come off very high doses of Fentanyl and oxycodone. And did I just read yesterday that you are done for some reason with the dr that has been prescribing the patches and won't be getting any more from that dr? Maybe I dreamed that, I'm not sure....but you are down from 200 mcg to 100 on the patches, right? All things considered, your health issues and your drug history....
Avatar m tn It is now November and he is still in a nursing home in Long Term Care unit and not receiving ANY rehab. The reason the home gives is that he has "plateaued". People I have spoken to have said that he should still be receiving therapy. I realize that he is now on medicaid, (he lost his job, home, everything due to this stroke) and is being treated like a second class citizen!! He is getting very depressed. Thank you!
Avatar f tn hi i can sense your concern, i am the wife and mom of recovering addicts. is she at an inpatient rehab? she would most likely have gone to a detox center first, the initial withdrawal will last about 7 days.then she will still not feel well but wont be as sick as at first. how long is the rehab court ordered for? 30 days?

Avatar m tn going away to rehab is scary, but if this is what it will take to get u clean, then i suggest checking in to inpatient rehab. are u talking about crystal meth?/methadon?. getting clean is tough, beyond tough, but the fight is worth it. u need to do whatever it takes right now. i would suggest start by finding an N/A meeting. getting a good support group is essential for any addict so i hope u stick around, u can learn a lot here. best of luck to you. fight with all u have.
Avatar m tn You are in VA - The Coleman Institute has a 3 day detox for opiates, but I don't know what kind of program they could offer you - worth a call though. I went through a detox with them nearly a year ago. The positive thing about their detox is that they use a Naltrexone implant to prevent relapse - which could be of benefit for you. I personally don't know of other options available in our state, but I am sure there are options. Best of luck to you.
Avatar m tn Well now im in negotiations with the da and they want me to go back to in patient rehab to get the charges dropped. 28 days in rehab. ive never gotten more than 60 days while in in patient. i got my 112 by going to meetings, working and just doing ordinary stuff. I cant go back to inpatient im starting school i have a job my own apartment and im doing well. I had a court case today. Its really bugging me because my lawyer hasnt called me yet to let me know the news.
Avatar m tn Ask your MD about inpatient rehab. Because w/d can be hellish. Also let your physician perhaps \\suggest a suppot program and psychotherapy, also a pain specialist that can help you w/o opiates.
Avatar n tn i voluntarily put myself into an 18 month drug rehab in 1993. i was about to lose my kids. i had to do something. they made me detox for 3 days prior in a hospital. it was a really good program. they helped anyone with drivers license problems, fines, court ****, etc. i was able to take nursing classes. they help ed me find a job, save money, and have a place to live so that i slowly re-entered the "normal" world.
Avatar f tn Okay I have just been informed I have to go inpatient by a counselor for rehab. I have already detoxed myself off drugs. So I wonder what will it be like, if anybody has been in a recovery inpatient facility and what to expect especially since I am already off the meds. I am trying to be open minded about this but find it ridiculous to be inpatient for detox when I've done that. Maybe they will offer me a drug screen so I can prove I am drug free and maybe do some outpt therapy instead.
1895503 tn?1332373374 I know what you mean by withdrawal making you stronger and the long taper was just torture I am sure.I think it really is easier to get clean in a rehab environment but it seems like in the last few years rehab has turned from a safe place to get clean into a place where they just switch addictions and make you comfortable and pocket the money. I know you can do it and am really rooting for you. You will feel better when you have left all of this behind.
Avatar f tn Inpatient Rehab or Intensive Outpatient rehab. I am in a foreign country right now so I have to wait about two months until I can begin whatever treatment I end up choosing. I am so ready to get clean. It so very hard to taper myself off when I have basically an unlimited supply. I know I need to do something. I am lucky enough to have great parents who have told me that I can go to any type of treatment anywhere I choose.
Avatar n tn My 18 yr old granddaughter has been arrested for calling her boyfriend who had a restraining order against her. She also has pending, stealing cigarettes, verbal abuse to a nurse, breaking a car window in an argument with someone & we did not post bail & would like to get power of attorney & see if we can have her put in a rehab. She has been on a downward spiral for at least 4 years. We know she drinks & are pretty sure that she takes various drugs. What can we do?
Avatar m tn Hi there~ Welcome to the forum - glad to see you're here. I can't tell you how or what to do, but I can talk about my experience. My DOC is crack/cocaine... I was pretty much a cooked goose from the first experience - didn't know I was an addict until well into a week in inpatient rehab. Weird, eh? But it's true. I just thought I had a problem... needed to get away... I tried many times on my own to quit using. After the first month of using, I tried stopping...
5901196 tn?1395543909 What other option could there be? (Will ANY rehab let a person in that tests clean? Hmmm... There HAS to be one in Chicago, or it's suburbs. For goodness sake the place is huge!!
