t get second chances with him, he tells you go to inpatient rehab. One shot only, make it count. there are lots of clinics all around the US doing the same stuff.. but the ones i researched in texas (i live in Austin now) wanted to keep me on for 3 months or more at a high dose and i wasnt down with that. I didnt want to swap addictions... as you can abuse the Sub also. It is not a quick fix, it is a tool to help get clean if you do what it takes...

We are in TX and found that the outpatient rehab that was affiliated with the inpatient rehab hospital that my husband was in had water therapy.

My original question was to convince my son to get help for his pill addiction. I saw a website in Houston called Detox Houston (which is where he lives) & I convinced him to go. The website looks great & sounds great but it is not. It's a joke. There is no follow-up help at all. He's had some terrible relapses & now I'm trying to find something else. He wants something that he can do as an outpatient. How do you go about finding a decent doctor/therapist to help you?

I did understand and I did read your whole post. There is a difference in outpatient aftercare (NA, PA, AA) and inpatient aftercare (rehab). Rehab is obviously more intense and safer and a great thing if you're falling apart. I went and it didn't haunt me through my personal health record. It is expensive....but can you really put a price on your life and family and well being and happiness? Insurance, many times, will cover it....opiates are sometimes not covered...

PaRC (Houston) was the single best thing to happen to me. I can't say enough about the inpatient treatment that I received there. I thought, prior to going in for the month that I was there, that everything would fall apart around my ears while I was in, but as it happens, life goes on without me (contrary to what I thought). My office found a way of surviving. My wife found a way of taking care of all our 'crap'. Life went on...

Well I leave Thursdays to do an inpatient detox and rehab. After several surgeries I became dependent on oxycodone 15mg 5xday. When I first realized I was addicted I tried to ct and ended up passing out due to my Bp dropping. Then I decided to taper but my dr stopped that as well because they said I needed to have a 3rd back surgery even tho my last one was in April. I'm not walking correctly, kinda hunched over.

does anyone know how much it cost to goto rehab if udont have ins.? im hooked on percs for almost 2 yrs and want my life back!! i tried to wean down just had no luck and cold turkey didnt work. please help!!
