Common Questions and Answers about Inpatient rehab facilities

rehab

Avatar f tn Your best bet is to just get on the phone and start calling. Look in the yellow pages, find a rehab facility, and call them. If they aren't what you're looking for, ask for a referral. These rehab facilities are kind of a "small world". They all know each other and each others expertise. Good luck and congratulations on taking such an important step.
Avatar m tn So we tried admitting him (while high) to an inpatient drug rehab. He once again said he has delusions and paranoia and even admitted to coke use. He ended up in the psychiatric unit and after a week of eval. he is outpatient with a brand new scrip of psych meds even with his violent tendencies and pissing hot for coke. Anybody know why they went outpatient when is clearly abusing his medication, taking street drugs and threatening people's lives?
Avatar f tn My question is, he now wants to enroll in an inpatient rehab to address his issues is this possible so soon after surgery? The only problems he is experiencing are headaches and mild fatigue. I am having difficulty with the centers we have contacted, although no one has outright turned him down, they just beat around the bush. His follow-up appt with his neuro surgeon is in 3 weeks.
Avatar f tn I did understand and I did read your whole post. There is a difference in outpatient aftercare (NA, PA, AA) and inpatient aftercare (rehab). Rehab is obviously more intense and safer and a great thing if you're falling apart. I went and it didn't haunt me through my personal health record. It is expensive....but can you really put a price on your life and family and well being and happiness? Insurance, many times, will cover it....opiates are sometimes not covered...
1065007 tn?1255540445 I am in Central Ohio, so anyone know of anywhere around here would be great. But if i found a INPATIENT Rehab which i could go to for free or almost free... i'd go anywhere! Thanks!! BTW, yes i am a newbie, but did search a lil for this.
Avatar m tn I am new to this forum. I have been using oxy intravenously for 3 months now. I got out of rehab and only made it one month before I went back. My life """"ks! I have hurt my parents physically and financially. They paid everything they had to put me through rehab and here I am back again. I have no money, no job and don't know where to turn. I am in my early 20s and want my life back. I was an athelete and had tons of friends.
5901196 tn?1395543909 Hello! My name is Dee. I'm 53 yrs. old, have 3 adult sons and 8 grandchildren. My history of drug use is very long, 30-33 yrs., so I'll just get to it. (I have to thank God right now for letting me have a home and my family.) I got off Suboxone about a month ago. What I need advice on is this: Even though I'm clean, I'd like to go to inpatient drug rehab, (at least a 30 day program), to work thru all of these emotions that are coming to the surface.
Avatar n tn Check the laws in ur state about coerced rehab. In the state of Ohio judges typically don't do it....and in rehab facilities if the person is blatantly refusing it they don't admit them for it stirs the other patients up...causes havoc...and addicted patients are difficult to deal with in detox and on a rehab unit in early phase.Another issue is who will pay for it?Does she have health care insurance?it looks like she's being charged w/misdemeanors...
Avatar m tn m not certain where you live but in your situation I would recommend an inpatient detox and rehab program. The reason is you show high enthusiasm and readiness to address your addiction head on and because it is placing stress on your family, an inpatient program can provide you a safe environment in which to detox, learn new coping strategies and get established with aftercare. The inpatient programs are highly recommended for people with minimal suppot.
Avatar f tn Well I leave Thursdays to do an inpatient detox and rehab. After several surgeries I became dependent on oxycodone 15mg 5xday. When I first realized I was addicted I tried to ct and ended up passing out due to my Bp dropping. Then I decided to taper but my dr stopped that as well because they said I needed to have a 3rd back surgery even tho my last one was in April. I'm not walking correctly, kinda hunched over.
Avatar f tn Inpatient Rehab or Intensive Outpatient rehab. I am in a foreign country right now so I have to wait about two months until I can begin whatever treatment I end up choosing. I am so ready to get clean. It so very hard to taper myself off when I have basically an unlimited supply. I know I need to do something. I am lucky enough to have great parents who have told me that I can go to any type of treatment anywhere I choose.
1113973 tn?1258663021 Quality rehab facilities that are completely free are few and far between. Many have payment plans or will work with you with payments. Your best bet is to flip through the yellow pages, find the first rehab, and call them. Tell them what you need and ask for help. If they can't help, ask for a referral. Rehab centers know about each others terms and programs for miles. They are your best source of info. Outpatient rehab isn't nearly as pricey as inpatient programs.
725350 tn?1318680468 I think it would be good to share some of our success stories about going to inpatient facilities in order to dispell some of the stigma attached to it. So, if you went to an inpatient facility, how did it go? I know for me, it worked wonders. It had multiple benefits. First, there was the safety of being in a place where I couldn't get drugs even if I wanted to. People try to rely on will power through the worst of the WD's, but 9/10 times, willpower fails addicts.
Avatar n tn Perhaps you and your son could discuss his problem honestly with his probation officer and/or doctor and get some recommendations for inpatient rehab. All of you need to be on the same page and until everyone is, nothing will change. He really needs to want this and if he does than you all should be thinking about rehab for him as it seems nothing else has helped.
Avatar m tn does anyone know how much it cost to goto rehab if udont have ins.? im hooked on percs for almost 2 yrs and want my life back!! i tried to wean down just had no luck and cold turkey didnt work. please help!!
Avatar n tn He is hospitalized and we are having problems in getting any inpatient rehab places to accept him. We need him to be atleast fit to travel back to india. if you have any insight that could help, we would truly appreciate it. He is in a hospital in the Boston area. my email is rashmi.***@****.
1041243 tn?1375230520 Are there any other rehab facilities in your area [or a little aways from your area] that you can get into, because I've never heard of there being a waiting list to get into one. If you go to the ER and tell them your story and state that you're in need of help, they're required by law to put you where you need to be for rehab. Please try not to scare yourself about the seizures.
6815927 tn?1395511425 If I remember correctly, you're trying to come off very high doses of Fentanyl and oxycodone. And did I just read yesterday that you are done for some reason with the dr that has been prescribing the patches and won't be getting any more from that dr? Maybe I dreamed that, I'm not sure....but you are down from 200 mcg to 100 on the patches, right? All things considered, your health issues and your drug history....
Avatar m tn in regards to getting myself an inpatient program as the life of on and off is one of pure insanity.Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn So, I have been reading a little bit about peoples sub experience on this site, and I must say, mine was a bit different I went through a 21 day inpatient detox, 3 days oxycontin withdrawal, followed by a 12 day suboxone taper, my stabilization dose was 6mg, the dose was cut 1mg every 3 days.
Avatar f tn t think outpatient is enough for you. There are no inpatient facilities to consider? Because trying to detox yourself off of the alcohol can be very dangerous, and you'll need rhw right support, and likely the right medications, to get through that safely. But you're a nurse, you know that right? I don't say that to be harsh, just trying to get through to you. Your life HAS to be your priority right now, not your job.
Avatar n tn inpatient rehab is a must for some, and i have been to a couple.
822153 tn?1333062995 hi there. most inpatient facilities consist of a medically supervised detox that usually lasts 2-10 days followed by intensive individual and group therapies to educate you about chemical dependency and how to treat it. this phase can last from 10 to 30 days, sometimes longer depending on the facility. during this time, you will likely be given the opportunity to adjust to a more normal routine and regular balanced nutrition.

Avatar f tn After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?
Avatar f tn PTs practice in many settings, such as outpatient clinics or offices, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, extended care facilities, private homes, education and research centers, schools, hospices, industrial workplaces or other occupational environments, fitness centers and sports training facilities. In your case the best thing is asking your operating surgeon to do it for yourself. Take care!
Avatar m tn He is living with my friend in her house. Does she have any way of having him comitted to rehab in order to get him clean so he may be able to receive a transplant?
Avatar f tn what will rehab do for me? im in the process of calling the ins co to see where i can go. will they give me something to stop this crazy jittery feeling? will i be not so anxious to the point of not coping? i am comin g out of my skin. i cant take it. will rehab help? or will i be in a strange room with strange people going thru the same exact thing? i cant do this alone i just cant... i need help im just not sure what i need.... i am willing and able to go for inpatient treatment.
