Avatar m tn He snorts coke, Addarall and Ritalin, the guy leaves paraphernalia all around his house and still denies usage. He is currently on methadone which is just a free drug to him at this point. Before drug use he was an extremely stable family man. Once he go involved in the drug world, he assaulted a guy while high and claimed insanity. He still served time but he Really played it up saying he hears voices and has extreme paranoia. (only when he is high mind you.
1046832 tn?1255008262 Hi Hun, Avisg is spot on. Most of the treatment centers (rehabs) have what is called an "indigent" program. That is by no means an insult. It is simply a program for those who do not have insurance but need the help. For example, when I was in treatment I was in with a Pharmacist. He was a person who at one time had the money but had lost everything through his addiction. He was accepted into the program. I saw many others since then also accepted for one reason or another.
Avatar f tn It really depends. There are inpatient centers, as in you live there, and outpatient centers, where you don't live at the facility. Different options work for different people. I have been in a outpatient place and it works well for me. I am sure every place is different though, and it is ultimately up to you and what you want. There isn't an exact time to 'come off' of any drug, or any chemical that alters you in some way.
Avatar f tn I did understand and I did read your whole post. There is a difference in outpatient aftercare (NA, PA, AA) and inpatient aftercare (rehab). Rehab is obviously more intense and safer and a great thing if you're falling apart. I went and it didn't haunt me through my personal health record. It is expensive....but can you really put a price on your life and family and well being and happiness? Insurance, many times, will cover it....opiates are sometimes not covered...
Avatar f tn Inpatient Rehab or Intensive Outpatient rehab. I am in a foreign country right now so I have to wait about two months until I can begin whatever treatment I end up choosing. I am so ready to get clean. It so very hard to taper myself off when I have basically an unlimited supply. I know I need to do something. I am lucky enough to have great parents who have told me that I can go to any type of treatment anywhere I choose.
Avatar n tn Hi Lisa, I was here back in 2007 before you even had your second daughter, I just go by a different name now. I had actually been thinking about you recently because I am pregnant, almost 12 weeks now and it was not planned and I've been on Suboxone for over 450 days now due to a horrible addiction.
Avatar m tn I am new to this forum. I have been using oxy intravenously for 3 months now. I got out of rehab and only made it one month before I went back. My life """"ks! I have hurt my parents physically and financially. They paid everything they had to put me through rehab and here I am back again. I have no money, no job and don't know where to turn. I am in my early 20s and want my life back. I was an athelete and had tons of friends.
Avatar f tn Well I leave Thursdays to do an inpatient detox and rehab. After several surgeries I became dependent on oxycodone 15mg 5xday. When I first realized I was addicted I tried to ct and ended up passing out due to my Bp dropping. Then I decided to taper but my dr stopped that as well because they said I needed to have a 3rd back surgery even tho my last one was in April. I'm not walking correctly, kinda hunched over.
Avatar m tn So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.
Avatar f tn The best thing for you to do is look up REHAB centers in your area or as much of an area that you can afford to drive. It's imperative that you visit more than one. Use all your resources...internet, friends, references, staff and other informative resources that can help you decide. Nursing homes really just take care of the patient with little or no rehab. Do you have a HealthSouth in your area? In bigger cities HealthSouth has a good name.
Avatar f tn My question is, he now wants to enroll in an inpatient rehab to address his issues is this possible so soon after surgery? The only problems he is experiencing are headaches and mild fatigue. I am having difficulty with the centers we have contacted, although no one has outright turned him down, they just beat around the bush. His follow-up appt with his neuro surgeon is in 3 weeks.
1113973 tn?1258663021 Quality rehab facilities that are completely free are few and far between. Many have payment plans or will work with you with payments. Your best bet is to flip through the yellow pages, find the first rehab, and call them. Tell them what you need and ask for help. If they can't help, ask for a referral. Rehab centers know about each others terms and programs for miles. They are your best source of info. Outpatient rehab isn't nearly as pricey as inpatient programs.
Avatar m tn does anyone know how much it cost to goto rehab if udont have ins.? im hooked on percs for almost 2 yrs and want my life back!! i tried to wean down just had no luck and cold turkey didnt work. please help!!
725350 tn?1318680468 PaRC (Houston) was the single best thing to happen to me. I can't say enough about the inpatient treatment that I received there. I thought, prior to going in for the month that I was there, that everything would fall apart around my ears while I was in, but as it happens, life goes on without me (contrary to what I thought). My office found a way of surviving. My wife found a way of taking care of all our 'crap'. Life went on...
1065007 tn?1255540445 I am in Central Ohio, so anyone know of anywhere around here would be great. But if i found a INPATIENT Rehab which i could go to for free or almost free... i'd go anywhere! Thanks!! BTW, yes i am a newbie, but did search a lil for this.

Avatar f tn Hi my name is kevin and I think rehab will be great for you. You have people going through the same crap you are. Give all of yourself and listen. you will come out feeling great.
Avatar f tn what will rehab do for me? im in the process of calling the ins co to see where i can go. will they give me something to stop this crazy jittery feeling? will i be not so anxious to the point of not coping? i am comin g out of my skin. i cant take it. will rehab help? or will i be in a strange room with strange people going thru the same exact thing? i cant do this alone i just cant... i need help im just not sure what i need.... i am willing and able to go for inpatient treatment.
Avatar n tn Well, i went to a treatment center, but my insurance company wouldn't cover inpatient. Most centers have a day or evening program. If you've never been in a treatment center before, and your not severly underwieght they'll probably only cover the day or evening program, and then they do an evaluation every 3-5 days based on your progress there. Like mine only cover 3 1/2 weeks, even though my case manger, told them i needed at least 6 weeks, but insurance co.
Avatar n tn We are in TX and found that the outpatient rehab that was affiliated with the inpatient rehab hospital that my husband was in had water therapy.
Avatar m tn P under control before we did anything with my pain meds I called a few rehab centers found a 7day medical detox I'm so so scared they said they would make sure my B.
