Avatar m tn He snorts coke, Addarall and Ritalin, the guy leaves paraphernalia all around his house and still denies usage. He is currently on methadone which is just a free drug to him at this point. Before drug use he was an extremely stable family man. Once he go involved in the drug world, he assaulted a guy while high and claimed insanity. He still served time but he Really played it up saying he hears voices and has extreme paranoia. (only when he is high mind you.
Avatar f tn Has anyone on here been to or known anyone that has been to Haven House Rehab Center in Oxford, MS??? I will be going in a couple of days and just curious if anyone has an opinion on it. Also, to all the women.... I haven't had a period since jan 19. The only other times I have skipped, I was pregnant but I have taken 2 tests and they were both negative. Can withdrawals from lortab cause you to miss a cycle for 2 months? Has anyone else experienced this as a side effect of detox and relapse?
Avatar f tn It really depends. There are inpatient centers, as in you live there, and outpatient centers, where you don't live at the facility. Different options work for different people. I have been in a outpatient place and it works well for me. I am sure every place is different though, and it is ultimately up to you and what you want. There isn't an exact time to 'come off' of any drug, or any chemical that alters you in some way.
Avatar f tn I did understand and I did read your whole post. There is a difference in outpatient aftercare (NA, PA, AA) and inpatient aftercare (rehab). Rehab is obviously more intense and safer and a great thing if you're falling apart. I went and it didn't haunt me through my personal health record. It is expensive....but can you really put a price on your life and family and well being and happiness? Insurance, many times, will cover it....opiates are sometimes not covered...
Avatar f tn Inpatient Rehab or Intensive Outpatient rehab. I am in a foreign country right now so I have to wait about two months until I can begin whatever treatment I end up choosing. I am so ready to get clean. It so very hard to taper myself off when I have basically an unlimited supply. I know I need to do something. I am lucky enough to have great parents who have told me that I can go to any type of treatment anywhere I choose.
Avatar n tn Is there a Untied way in your area or a salvation army also mental health centers in your town .Are you still using and how much . I know you know not to try to taper off on your own .You can PM me anytime ....You can get help and get your life back. I know this is not what you want out of life ...
Avatar m tn And you can be the real you, put your faith in God, pray about it, seek out treatment centers, and stay focused on where you want to be in a year. Becaause in one year, this can all be behind you. There is help out there, call your local Dept. of Human Services, your hospital, treatment facilities, churches, and look online. There is help and support out there.
Avatar f tn Well I leave Thursdays to do an inpatient detox and rehab. After several surgeries I became dependent on oxycodone 15mg 5xday. When I first realized I was addicted I tried to ct and ended up passing out due to my Bp dropping. Then I decided to taper but my dr stopped that as well because they said I needed to have a 3rd back surgery even tho my last one was in April. I'm not walking correctly, kinda hunched over.
Avatar m tn So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.
Avatar f tn The best thing for you to do is look up REHAB centers in your area or as much of an area that you can afford to drive. It's imperative that you visit more than one. Use all your resources...internet, friends, references, staff and other informative resources that can help you decide. Nursing homes really just take care of the patient with little or no rehab. Do you have a HealthSouth in your area? In bigger cities HealthSouth has a good name.
Avatar f tn My question is, he now wants to enroll in an inpatient rehab to address his issues is this possible so soon after surgery? The only problems he is experiencing are headaches and mild fatigue. I am having difficulty with the centers we have contacted, although no one has outright turned him down, they just beat around the bush. His follow-up appt with his neuro surgeon is in 3 weeks.
Avatar f tn She has never been there before and I have no experience with being in rehab, as I have never gone that route. Can I hear from people who have gone, and if this was the route that you would suggest someone go? Thank you in advance!!
1113973 tn?1258663021 Quality rehab facilities that are completely free are few and far between. Many have payment plans or will work with you with payments. Your best bet is to flip through the yellow pages, find the first rehab, and call them. Tell them what you need and ask for help. If they can't help, ask for a referral. Rehab centers know about each others terms and programs for miles. They are your best source of info. Outpatient rehab isn't nearly as pricey as inpatient programs.
Avatar m tn does anyone know how much it cost to goto rehab if udont have ins.? im hooked on percs for almost 2 yrs and want my life back!! i tried to wean down just had no luck and cold turkey didnt work. please help!!
725350 tn?1318680468 I think it would be good to share some of our success stories about going to inpatient facilities in order to dispell some of the stigma attached to it. So, if you went to an inpatient facility, how did it go? I know for me, it worked wonders. It had multiple benefits. First, there was the safety of being in a place where I couldn't get drugs even if I wanted to. People try to rely on will power through the worst of the WD's, but 9/10 times, willpower fails addicts.
1065007 tn?1255540445 You may find that going to 2 meetings a day can give you the same benefits as a rehab. They will also assist you in finding a good rehab being they go to all in the area to speak and help those fighting their illness. You will be surrounded by people who will give you support, love, rides to and from, and place to go for a good part of everyday. The other thing ask to join them going to a commitment so you can get an idea what they are like.
Avatar m tn Hello!! Thank you EVERYONE on here who posted kind words for me. Actually reading through it took me back to those old feelings of withdrawl in a good way though, it makes me appreciate how far I've come. I went to inpatient rehab in Lemoyne PA(right outside of harrisburg)for 30 LONG DAYS. Which is two hours from home.

Avatar n tn Well, i went to a treatment center, but my insurance company wouldn't cover inpatient. Most centers have a day or evening program. If you've never been in a treatment center before, and your not severly underwieght they'll probably only cover the day or evening program, and then they do an evaluation every 3-5 days based on your progress there. Like mine only cover 3 1/2 weeks, even though my case manger, told them i needed at least 6 weeks, but insurance co.
