Inner lip blister mucocele

Common Questions and Answers about Inner lip blister mucocele

lip

I have a pimple like clear round blister inside my lower lip. I'm concerned that it is herpes, a cold sore. It heals but it is still there, it comes out again. Should I be concerned or could it just be a mucocele?
Hello, It can be due to repeated trauma to the lip and if it is present on the inner side of the lip then mucocele can be a possibility. It is usually inside the lower lip, under the tongue or the inside of mouth and caused mainly by biting the lips or trauma during eating of food. Usually it goes away on its own. But if it does not, then corticosteroid injections and surgical removal by scalpel or laser are done by a dermatologist.
I dont know if its acne or what it is, it started out as a little bump on my inner lip, and i recently lookd in the mirror cuz it felt like it was getting bigger, and it looks like a blister?

Hi This red blister is found in the inner lip or outer lip? If found in the inner lip, this may be a mucocele. Mucoceles are not symptomatic. They are blocked portions of salivary glands. They may range from tiny blisters to large ones. If found in the outer border, then fungal infections and herpetic infections have to be considered. I suggest that you refrain from picking on this. Do not apply any creams or lotions on the area as this will only aggravate the condition.
I have a similar clear blister inside my mouth (lip - inside, close to gum). But it is not blood filled. It is about 4mm in diameter and is completely painless. It came about rather quickly - but it is NOT going away. I've had it now for about 6 days. Someone mentioned such blisters could be related to other things... what are they? (Since the formation of this blister) I have not gone to see a doctor about it nor have I been tested for any STDs.
i have a bump in the bottom of my inner lip. the bump is white too .i don't know what to do. HELP!
I had unprotected oral sex last week and I just recently noticed that there is a water blister inside in my mouth (inner-lower lip/right side). I have been overly stressed this passed month. I'm also a vegetarian. The blister is clear most of the time, but sometimes it gets red,,.so it changes color every now and then. Not sure if it's with heat or stress, or the foods i'm eating. Or even lack of nutrients perhaps? There's only one, but it's 1/4" in diameter.
Also, the blister popped the same day that it appeared and was gone for a couple days until today when it reappeared in the same place. My cold sore in the corner of my mouth is gone.
3 days later I developed a blister on my upper inner lip. I thought it might be HSV-2 related from the oral and bought acyclovir cream. As far as I can recall I have never suffered a cold sore before. I am generally in good health and in terms of oral hygiene I sometimes experience minimal bleeding post brushing my teeth. I do not recall any gum bleeding that night. It has now been 13 days post exposure .
The next day I developed a sore throat , achy limbs, fever, and felt flu like. 3 days later I developed a blister on my upper inner lip. I thought it may be herpes and bought acyclovir cream. It has now been 13 days, post exposure , my symptoms settled few days ago but the blister on my lip persists. I have compared it with google images of herpes and it looks nothing like those. I am wondering if it is a mucocele.
2to 3 days later I developed a sore throat, had diarrhoea, and 3 days later developed a blister on my upper inner lip which has been diagnosed as a Mucocele by my doc. He felt I bit my lip and caused trauma. My temp was never above 36.8. About a week and a half post exposure I began to notice redness on my chest but my other symptoms had settled. There were a handful of small red circular patches of skin on my chest which would blanch on pressure and were not sore or itchy.
ok...then like two days later i got this white blister under my tongue....on the bottom of that elastic part on one of the little gland type flesh...hurt a bit...but i do remember having that same thing one time with my past relationship which was years ago on the same spot after oral....so i thought i was a bacterial infection that i got from giving oral sex....it cleared in a day or so....sooo.....we didnt speak about a week...so after that 9 days later it was a hot day i was out....
