infection

Avatar m tn but i went to the clinic yesterday and was told my ear looked fine
1312218 tn?1279615579 This could an inner ear process, fluid in the middle ear, wax in the ear canal, inflammation of the jaw joint...
Avatar n tn It could partially be stiff shoulders/neck, which could cause headaches (pain is in similar places to sinus infections) and constrict the tubes of the inner ear, blood vessels, etc in the neck (try massaging your neck/shoulders, face, jaw and stretching, and excedrin or advil works well). These last two don't explain the warmness or cold hands/feet.
Avatar f tn Definitely could be an ear infection/sinus infection. However, I would ask if your jaw pops at all when you open it? It could be TMJ as well. I suffered with TMJ for a while before I found out what it was from a dentist.
1810724 tn?1316932924 Do you have environmental allergies? Even hayfever can involve the inner ear. Allergies can actually be an aggravating factor for having fluid on the ears. This isn't an ear infection, but it might feel like the same pain. Closely related to this is another common issue with the jaw. Specifically the TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint).
Avatar f tn And as well can be an infection in the inner ear, and can be other possible causes creating a high pressure in the inner ear. Middle ear problems I don't know well enough to suggest any possibilities other than what Carol suggests. Inner ear problems all mimic each other so it is hard to diagnose them.
Avatar n tn That definitely sounds like a fungal infection. I've had a sinus infection and ear infection for well over a month now. It was so bad that I was going to the doctor daily for IV antibiotics. I was sent to the ENT who suctioned my ear and found I had a fungal infection. My ear drum also had a small perforation which affected my hearing some. He had me continue with the antibiotics and gave me eardrops. The eardrops smelled like vinegar and burned.
Avatar n tn This looks like a problem with the inner ear apparatus. The inner ear is concerned with balance and equilibrium as well as hearing. You can consult an ENT specialist and get the relevant tests done. Do you have nausea / vomiting also ?
175861 tn?1428182413 I have never experienced ear pain (I guess when i was a baby i had ear infections all the time), but now at 27 this is my first. It is kind of freaking me out since i have no other symptoms of an ear infection (sore throat, fever, hot ear)....it is simply just throbbing pain in my left ear. I really want to go to the doctor, but tomorrow is Saturday!
Avatar m tn Probably a month ago I've been getting these random moments where my inner ear feels like its pulsating. It doesn't hurt but it has come to the point of annoyance. It drives me crazy and it's hard to focus on anything I do. It's been causing me a lot of depression and It makes me feel insane. I feel like I'm losing it and i just want it to stop. When I move my jaw it feels like some pressure is being put on my inner ear as well.
Avatar f tn Then I staerted having pain in my loer jaw, throat and inner ear. The chips finally fell out this weekend but my ear is still very painful. I can not take antibiotics because it will negate my birth control. Will this clear up on its own now that the chips are gone? This discussion is related to ear pressure tooth and sinus pain. Inner Infection? Wisdom teeth? Both?.
Avatar f tn As suggested the common cause for the ear pain could be otitis interna (inner ear infection). The other common causes for pain are cerumen (ear wax) impaction, otitis externa and myringitis, which is inflammation of the tympanic membrane. You may need to consult your primary care physician who will examine you and initiate appropriate therapy. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn inner ear infection, middle ear/eustachian tube problem, sinus infection, or allergies are the most likely culprits. other causes could be cholesteatoma, vertical heterophoria syndrome, tmj(jaw problem), neck problem, perilymph fistula, or a pinched vestibular nerve. other more serious, but far less likely causes are unstable blood pressure, brain tumor, nutrient deficiency, or an auto-immune disease. do you work with doctors? ask them or make an appointment with one.

1759659 tn?1312975493 Two days ago I started to get this pain in my inner ear I have read up about the possibilities of which it could be ; Ear Infection, Swimmers Ear A Non-Burst Ear drum of a flight and a Burst Ear Drum since of these things I think that may have to go into way more detail. Firstly I was swimming in my pool under water when I heard water suction which went into my ear when I got out I tried to dispurse of this water.
Avatar m tn Hello~I would see an ear specialist, you may have an inner ear infection or even an issue with you jaw, called TMJ.
Avatar n tn It was non tender, until a few days back. I noticed that it was tender and the pain was radiating to my jaw and my inner ear. A dull type of a pain. Nothing that kept me up at night or req me to take pain killers. My doc told me to monitor it for a week to see if it enlarges and if the pain persists...and old me no to touch it. I have had my widom teeth removed and i have no dental infections. I havn't had a cold in awhile now, and i usually don't catch the flu or cold so quick.
Avatar m tn This could be due to an inner ear thing. I have had many, many inner ear problems but mine are more chronic. However, my brother, had the feelings you are describing and he was freaked since he never had any health issues either. So he went to his physical therapist - one that specializes in ENT problems. Turns out, there are calcium deposits that can build up over time in the inner ear (you see - the docs can only see as far as the ear drum with that ear thingy; not the inner ear).
Avatar n tn She has swollen glands in the neck and cheek and inner ear pain or the left side of her face. She also has pain on the left side of her face and the left side of her tongue running down her throat. When she touches it, it prickles, like there should be an open cut there. There are swollen bumps on the highest part of her cheek bone. Her glands, ear, tongue, and lip hurt the worst after eating or drinking. Any idea what could be causing this?
358304 tn?1409709492 Well, just about a week ago or more, one day I yawned and I got a sharp pain on the sides of my head. Hurt like hell, but for only a second... as I closed my mouth after yawning... It has seemed to gotten better.... but now, it's only on my left side of my face/jaw. When I move my jaw from side to side it hurts near my ear. Almost as if felt like an ear infection... but I've never had an ear infection so I couldnt tell you what one really feels like. lol.
Avatar n tn Other conditions to be strongly ruled out in your case could be Meniere’s disease of the ear, infection of the middle or inner ear, benign positional vertigo and benign intracranial hypertension. Hence it is important to consult an ENT specialist and a neurologist too. Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into.
Avatar f tn You may have an inner ear infection. The inner ear is the mechanism that controls our sense of balance. Sometimes a doctor will prescribe medication similar to that for motion sickness. As you have experienced intense pain, ringing, whoosing sound, and popping in your ear as well as the pressure in between your eyes (this is likely to be blocked sinuses), appears that your have a build up of mucus congestion.
