Avatar f tn Other conditions to be strongly ruled out in your case could be cervical spinal nerve compression, Meniere’s disease of the ear, wax in the ear, infection of the middle or inner ear, benign positional vertigo and benign intracranial hypertension. Hence it is important to consult an ENT specialist and a neurologist too. At times back and neck problems may persist for years before they really start giving trouble. Chances of TMJ too should be looked into.
Avatar m tn Sounds like an inner ear infection to me, I would make an appointment to see a doctor if this continues.
Avatar f tn Definitely could be an ear infection/sinus infection. However, I would ask if your jaw pops at all when you open it? It could be TMJ as well. I suffered with TMJ for a while before I found out what it was from a dentist.
1286253 tn?1271739233 You might have something as simple as an inner ear infection that can be cleared up with antibiotics. However, a less common disorder that sometimes produces sharp pain in the inner ear is called "geniculate neuralgia". A professional should be able to sort out your symptoms while taking a history and doing a few simple in-office tests. Go in Peace and Power R.A. Avatar f tn s disease is a condition of the inner ear, where in, the inner ear apparatus is filled with fluid and the fluid pressure is high. This produces symptoms of fullness of ear, headache etc.
Avatar n tn Most importantly you could have a possible inner ear infection, and if you keep having pain in the ear please go to your PC Doctor, and have them look into the ear. If you do have an inner ear infection a the Dr. probably will put you on a proper corse of Antibiotics for 7-10 days. With all this said its very important to remember this is just my opinion only. Ultimately seeing a Dr. if symtoms persist is always your safest, and best choice.
Avatar m tn If the symptoms persist then other causes of such symptoms like hypoglycemia, low BP,cervical spondolysis, vertebrobasilar insufficiency, inner ear diseases,TIA(transient ischemic attacks) and stroke have to be ruled out. 1549562 tn?1304004489 I had that and thought it was normal pregnancy stuff. Turned out to be an inner ear infection and sinus infection. If the headache doesn't get better in the next few days you might want to get those sinuses checked out.
Avatar m tn I have done all kind of tests (blood, urine, MRI, Hepatitis, HIV, and whatever you can think of, except inner ear, which my doctor think my symptoms are not similar to inner ear problems (he says symptoms should be strong dizziness like you can't even walk). I tried Clonazepam occasionally to see if it fixes the problem, but didn't do much.
Avatar n tn I really can not answer that question, I would sure see a doctor as soon as possible to rule out anything serious such as a TIA. It could be an inner ear infection, anxiety, flu, anything, so, please get it checked, it is better to be safe than sorry.
Avatar n tn Hi, Headache with pain in the ear could be due to an ear infection or an inner ear problem. Do you have any fever? I would suggest you to please schedule an appointment with An ENT specialist as soon as possible.
Avatar m tn Well, dizziness can be from an inner ear infection (even if you have no ear pain). Or it can also be from a migraine. Dizziness is one of the most common symptoms that accompany migraines. Neither situation is serious. I also had ear pain a few weeks ago when I had the flu. Even though it is late in the year for flu there was an outbreak here in North Texas so, it very well could be that. But, if you are worried over it then perhaps you should make a doctor appt.
Avatar f tn Oh or it could be in inner ear infection causing vertigo which would make you constantly dizzy and sick. You should still see a doctor because chances are if you are dizzy than you are nauseous and therefore are probably having a hard time keeping fluids down. Meaning you could be dehydrated which in turn makes your other symptoms worse.
695116 tn?1261010496 The inner ear is also responsible for balance. Thus, if the inner ear is disturbed, such as an infection, which is usually viral, an affected patient will often complain of lightheadedness or dizziness. Avatar f tn I did have a day where my ears were bothering me. After my symptoms left I was left with my left ear feeling like pressure .I would tug on the ear lobe and feel better. But now I feel like my lymph node is swollen.
Avatar f tn It may be difficult to maintain balance, walk, or stand. Vertigo can be caused by problems in the brain or by inflammation within the inner ear (labyrinthitis), which is characterized by the sudden onset of vertigo and may be associated with hearing loss. The most common cause of labyrinthitis is a viral or bacterial infection. So you are getting the right treatment and it will take a period of time to get completely rid off.
Avatar f tn This can also be related to temporal headache which originates from the temporal bone located above the ear in the skull. Temporal headache tinnitus is usually associated with stress, continued sleeplessness, temporomandibular disorder and even certain medications such as antibiotics, amino glycosides, Erythromycin, Vancomycin, chemotherapy agents, loop diuretics and quinine. Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into.
Avatar n tn Yes, I have to agree with your comments. It's also good that your mucous runs clear. A sinus infection can be nasty and difficult to get rid of. For starters you would wake up in the mornings with horrific headaches, till some form of drainage relieves the pressure. Labyrinthitis is something I would not wish on anyone. It's a viral infection of the inner ear.
