I have noticed the Zinc upsets my stomach so I have to take it with a little food. Just my personal experience. As I think you all know, I plan on treating with triple therapy (INC, peg-INF, RBV) leading into my transplant. Meaning I will attempt to become UND during those weeks (4-12) before transplant. If UND I will then choose a liver without hepatitis C so I will not reinfect my new donor liver and be free of hepatitis C after my transplant.

I swear by zinc lozenges on the first onset of a sore throat. I'm only 5 Weeks pregnant and wouldn't you know it, I have the start of a sore throat. anyone know if it's ok to take the lozenges? I know, I know, I need to ask my OB but I don't even have one in place yet since I'm so early on.

Also a couple of days ago due to my ammonia level being high (68) I took a zinc sulfate 220mg prescibed by my specialist to help with the ammonia. She said what my PCP prescribed was too strong and she prescribed econozole, desonide, zinc ox. She thought it was contact dermatitis. No improvement at all, and two weeks ago she precribed cloderm. I had a follow up yesterday, and no relief. She took a culture, and it came back as a yeast infection, and now she prescribed Oxistat 1% lotion. What a ride. s called Zink or Zinc its a strip of some kind paper I belive it really helps and I believe their is cream for that too zinc cream.... Yeast infection is caused by many things not cleaning the area very cleanly......

Hello, so far I've tried taking 1000 mg Vitamin C and 50mg Zinc tablets. I stopped taking both about a week ago since from what I understand Vitamin C is used to fight infections and taking 50mg Zinc seemed unsafe, since I don't know what dosage of Zinc per day is safe. I've been checked for infection three times so far and there's nothing. I've come across something the call EZ Flow tea, which seems to be composed of natural herbs.

I just found out that there is a class-action lawsuit against the companies that make denture adhesive. It seems that these adhesives contain enough zinc to cause many of the my FMS symptoms. I've been wearing dentures for 18 years and I have always used the same brand of adhesive, which is made by one of the companies targeted by the lawsuit. Has anyone dealt with this type of thing before? They said its anemia due to the zinc toxicity. Has anyone’s baby bounced back from something like this? They have not spoken any words of organ failures so as far as I know that is not a concern. I’m just worried and not sure if I should be asking for something else to be done. I have never known zinc to do anything like that. Zinc is a mineral that helps the skin and nerves get healthy. Check your diet - if you are eating too much sugar or carbs you might have frequent urination caused by hypoglycemia or pre-diabetes. Maybe you didn't pee often enough before and the zinc is healing your bladder... Are you drinking more water? You should in hot weather.

I have a constant yeast infection. I have taken a perscribed medication for it and over the counter and neither made it go away. Now I feel I have to choose between my skin and my sexual reproductive health. Is there a way to releive the yeast infection while on the antibiotics, or am I forced to stop acne treatment? Your issue may be a fungal infection in your sinus which is what I have. The Mayo clinic have already studied and identified it. The steriod sprays will not do much good because they end up encouraging fungal growth. It didn't help me at all. You also have to be carefull about antibiotics because it will kill the underlying bacterial infection which often goes hand in hand with fungal, but will also make the fungus grow.

I take zinc. I used to take Zicam nasal spray or swabs, but they got rid of the effective formula, claiming they were protecting people from loss of the sense of smell. I don't care about that because it wiped out a cold fast. So take zinc 50 mg and gargle with salt water with baking soda. Try green tea with mint. Sleep with head elevated slightly, but place pillows to keep the neck straight or he will wake up with a hurting neck.

zinc magnesium is for rls is what it is for if thats what you are wondering aind if thats what u want it for i would get potassium to because there is enough zinc in the multivitamin if you are taking one in my opinion so i just took potassium and magnesium

This morning on ABC they had a segment about a lady who had lost her balance to the point she had to have a walker to get around. They said they discovered that the zinc in her denture cream had cause the problem. They especially mention Fixodent and Polydent. My husband uses Fixodent and also is unable to walk without a cane. If he misplaces the cane, he has to hold onto the walls or furniture to walk around. This might be a just a coincident.
