Infection from diva cup

Common Questions and Answers about Infection from diva cup

infection

Avatar f tn Last month I used a diva cup for the first time and had some difficulty and pain inserting and removing it but was able to successfully. This month I decided to switch back to tampons because I experienced some inconvenient leaking while using the diva cup. About the third day of my period this month I started experiencing naseua, abdominal pain, diahherea, extreme fatigue and headaches even though I was changing my tampon every 3-6 hours like recommended.
Avatar n tn I have been using the Diva Cup for about 9 months now, and I love it. It was a bit difficult to get the hang of it in the first few months, but now I find it easier and less messy than tampons, and i have virtually no cramping with it...plus it's cheaper. My question is does anybody know if the cup can cause any damage to your body? I haven't found any information suggesting this, but I also haven't talked to any doctors who have heard of it.
Avatar f tn Wondering if anyone has had any luck with a menstrual cup. I'm currently using the diva cup step 2, but I find I can only wear it at nighttime. When I move around too much during the day like walking ect. I find it doesn't stay in place.
Avatar n tn I put a diva cup or any period cup in before and its not messy at all
Avatar n tn I started using the diva cup about a year ago and I've noticed a lot more mucus in my periods. Is this normal? Maybe I never noticed before because I was using tampons? I also just turned 30.
482323 tn?1317987461 Hi there! Welcome Dear! :) You are a lot like me, my lmp started on March 28th, so similar time frame. So You would be 28-29 dpo today, right? I am of course a couple days behind. You are so close to AF I would totally wait to test, unless you can't stand it of course. I've had a few symptoms as well, but the thing that is making me really wonder this month is the fact of my LACK of moodiness, since I am usually a bear this time of the month!
Avatar n tn My cycles are normal and I use a diva cup so I know what is coming out when on my period. However I have discovered an odor that the blood puts off I have never smelled something like it and it is not normal for me. I'm 15 not sexually active, any thoughts?
Avatar n tn I suggest that if you have that happen again, try using Instead cups or Diva Cups. Diva Cups are re-usable with just a bit of soap and water. Technically Instead cups are re-usable by dumping in a similar manner. The beauty of using cups VS tampons is that it collects. You'll get to see the full size of the tissue in this manner. If you think of just how deep your urterus is, you'll understand why there's so much tissue.
Avatar f tn What Brittanie May said is actually an awesome idea, I have the same problem, so I used my diva cup to keep the sperm in! And it has been working great! I keep the clean cup BT the bed and insert it right after sex, I actually find it easier to put in after sex than usual!
Avatar n tn Have you thought of trying a menstral cup like "diva cup"? I love it! Walmart or a drug store would have it. I used to get instant cramps when I used tampons, so I switched to the cup! Love it! Less messy, no smell! You dump it when full and rinse clean and reuse. You just have to look at the directions for putting it in correctly. After a few cycles you should get the hang of how to put it in.
Avatar n tn Well you could use a diva cup, but you would still have to insert it into your vagina. Otherwise you can't go swimming.
Avatar f tn There's nothing bad, wrong or unhygienic about having sex during your period. In fact, there's now a handy little product called the Diva Cup that keeps blood from flowing while you're being sexual. Check it out at your local drugstore. It looks like a little cap; it fits over the cervix (at the top of your vagina). You put it in before sex, and it serves as a reservoir for the blood. When you're done, just pull it out, wash it, and store it away for next time.
Avatar f tn Have you considered a moon or diva cup?
Avatar f tn I wasn't feeling my baby move from almost a whole day. So I took the ladies advice about going to the er. Well they sent me to labor and delivery found out my baby was completely knocked out under my rib. :) heart beat was good! The ob was pushing on my rib to get her to move and believe me when I say she had a pissy fit she did! Kicking the monitor and everything! Lol.

Avatar n tn My 11 month old has always been a bit of a "diva". She had colic for four months (had to be put on two medications for acid reflux and started early on solids). Between the ages of 5 months and 10 months, she was an ANGEL! Now, this diva has come back. When we take away something (i.e., a dangerous wire) or remove her from an area (i.e., the dog water bowel), she will fall on the ground and cry and scream.
Avatar n tn I drank from a used cup that had ice at the bottom with blood in it and the lip of the cup was smudged with a brownish substance where someone has drank from the cup previously. 2. yesterday I was having a conversation with a stranger and they inadvertently spit in my eye!!! Thank You!
419126 tn?1242412170 thanks guys. yes Diva is spayed, and yes i am expecting a baby anytime. i will definately do what you recommended. thank you very much for your help.
Avatar f tn Some women find menstrual cups (such as Diva Cup, Softcup) a lifesaver if they have heavy bleeding. I personally never used one. I hope this helps!
Avatar f tn Im 31 and 1/2 weeks pregnant and this is my second time having a yeast infection is there something that I can do to avoid it from coming back??
7474740 tn?1391112694 I live in Austin, so not terribly far from Houston. Im not from here myself and habe zero friends/family that are even remotely close by. Everyone I know lives in different states. Lol im almost 21w with a boy. How about you?
Avatar n tn Try a diva cup (or similar product) in place of tampons. If your flow is light, use cloth (you can buy cloth pads but I literally just use pieces of cloth - easier to get really clean.) I have reactions to all kinds of paper/synthetic menstrual products, especially scented, and you can develop sensitivity over time. I have had a bit better luck with "natural" products like Natracare. But generally tampons and synthetic pads make me smell and itch.
Avatar m tn There are no blisters nor anything visible from the outside, but could this be an infection from a long time ago and one of the recurring outbreaks that I'm now noticing? Or would I expect lots of pain if it was a herpes outbreak in urethra (even if it was a recurrent outbreak)?
Avatar n tn Lots of interaction on your part is needed right now. Teach him how to fetch toys. When he brings them back, teach him the "drop it" command so that he gives you the toy. Something else you can do is to name his toys, and always use the names when you refer to the toys. He will quickly learn who is who, and you can tell him to bring you a specific one and he'll know exactly which one that is. Kate has "Mr.
