I check my temp when I get these episodes and its perfectly normal. I do not have a infection or am not sick. Im not even in a cold environment. Everyone around me is not cold. nothing that you've described put you at risk for contracting hiv. any "symptoms" that you experienced, were in no way connected to hiv.
The only other oddity going on is I *think* I have a Urinary Tract Infection or irritation going on since passing the stone on vacation (tiny stone/gravel as I didn't see it but I felt it for a few hours) .... maybe that is messing things up .. I will give that a few more days to resolve and will go to Dr if not gone by mid-week .. the symptoms are mild and intermittent with spasms and slight burning ...
In 09/01 my bf & I broke out w/ a rash on our genitals. He was told by sight he had herpes I had a culture-it was +. Both of our symptoms went away w/in a few days. Over the next 3 yrs neither of us had symptoms so we thought my test was a false +. In 05 I had a blood test (not sure what kind) & it came back --. Flash forward to 09/09-a few wks back my genitals started to itch & then I had what appeared to be cracked skin on them. I went to dr & he said it looked like herpes.
8 on the pressure meter, perfect as far as I know), my thoughts while waking up are a total mess, I feel like I'm half dreaming because when I close my eyes is like a flash of random thoughts and even images with no connection.
I'm wearing socks, and a housecoat for one minute, then I sweat from top to bottom, then am freezing and grabbing for covers. It is not the HOT FLASH, I've had them for years, and this is different. Any suggestions out there ??? Thanks for all the comments, Alex, I hope I don't have to fight this for as long as you did, but they have and are talking about IV antibiotics..... don't know if that is a hospital stay, or an out patient. Guess we will find out.
Well, it is not so much a question .....more like a mini news flash! For those interested in the great dilema that us Aussie Lymies face. One little step forward. A year review though :/ seriously. I wonder how mny more people will have it in a year.....or maybe we should just send the Aussie tick population a memo and ask for a years grace while the government get their collective acts into gear: http://karlmcmanusfoundation.org.au/files/NSW%20Health%20Meeting.
It’s a tiny risk, greater if you are older, overweight, obese, or have reduced blood flow in your neck arteries, but it’s a risk you must assume if you want get rid of an otherwise untreatable sinus infection. There is a possibility that the infection could go into your ear, which happened to me once, but I found a way to avoid it. You could also accidentally rub infected snot into your eye and get an eye infection, if you are careless.

Gama globulin and blood transfusions were definitely culprits back then. In fact, I needed the blood transfusion that I believe game me HCV because RhoGam was not available to my mother when I was born. The RH factor difference between my parents caused me to become severely ill at 2 days of age...thus, the blood transfusion.

You are already ahead of the game for doing your own research. I had to totally advocate for myself, sadly. I am wiser for it, though. Thanks for your kind thoughts on being glad that I am feeling better.
She also seems to not know about the research that shows that taking acyclovir after exposure does not prevent infection. The only possible effect is to delay onset of symptoms and to make later diagnosis more difficult. I suggest you find more expert care (like your local health department STD clinic, a Planned Parenthod clinic, etc) then follow their advice about treatment, follow-up, and maybe later testing for HSV.
I also think that some form of mental calisthenics is helpful.
this was the worst day of our life untill i had to go for a curett i went for it the next day (altho i did not want to because it felt like i was getting rid of my baby life i created) 1 week later i was still in soooo much pain it was not bearable i was taken to hospital an found out i had an infection so i was given antibiotics and sent home 2 days later i went to my gino as i was still in sooo much pain so after multiple blood tests and an ultra sound it was confirmed the op was not done prop
There are several of us on here who have a similar eye complaint: seeing a bright flash, like the afterimage of a flash bulb, when we blink, and sometimes, on upgaze. This is transient symptom for most of us, lasting anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. When the "spot" in our visual field passes over a dark background, the spot appears light. When the spot passes over a light background, it appears dark.
Will your eye hit the target or be off by .5D one way or the other? Will you get an infection? For many issues like that, there really is no way to know in advance. Medicine is like that. The best you can hope for is to fully understand the risks and benefits, find a great doctor, and then make your choice and take your chances. I had HD's installed a month ago. So far, the procedure has been a success, but I realize that things could still go wrong (yag, rd).
And, just last night, I experienced a sharp shooting pain worse than any of the soreness so far, but it came and went in a flash. I wasn't even moving at the time, just laying here like always. Like you said, weird. As far as erection length, mine *seems* like it may be improving a little, but it's still not back to normal. I'd say maybe 70-80%. Let's keep our fingers crossed, I'm hoping this is very temporary for the both of us.
If I had a family or was working, I probably would have had to do something to keep any sort of peace. My emotions at times were quite raw and my temper at a flash point. I would cry at TV commercials and slam the phone down on people. These are things I never did before tx and have never done since. And, of course, those around you often just don't 'get' it, even though I told them it was the drugs. Treatment for me resulted in the end of some old friendships and problems with family.
I had 15x20 vision in both eyes before this infection and usually pretty white- since the infection I've seen deep red veins in my eyes, blurred vision and pain behind the eyes. Was diagnosed as dry-eye as well. I have experienced thrush-like symptoms in my throat as well. Corners of mouth have felt tight when I open my mouth all the way, since day 1 of infection and never left.
HE would rather play XBox etc than talk to anyone. If he doesn't do as well on a game as the adults do, he will throw the controller and say he is stupid and can't do anything. We have taken Xbox computers away from him, but the problem doesn't end. If he plays a board game with his sister (11) the same thing happens.
In a flash. Things are much different now. I got my life back, and I think I am a stronger person for it. I probably am stronger and more confident now than I ever was. I have a husband, family, job, and I'm about to graduate college (FINALLY...I took three years off to get married and have children). Anxiety is hell, and it can ruin your life.
Oh gosh, that would be kind of hard to do here without a diagram--so it might be better to either get the book "Energy Medicine" by Donna Eden OR even better yet, look for one of the "Energy Medicine Kits." These little kits contain some flash cards and a dvd that demonstrates everything, plus some other stuff, but these I find most useful. I've noticed some of the kits selling for between $10 and $20 on eBay; and I think it's about $20 on amazon.com.
It was tough on the family with the waiting game, I think my mom took it harder than most. I agree on the frustration with getting pushed aside because I also look normal on the outside, aside from the eyepatch. My symptoms are not easy to explain to others and they tend to think I blow it out of proportion or I'm a wuss. I understand the physician problem. I went to mine for years before the tumor was found telling him what I was feeling.
It sounds a lot like bacterial vaginosis, an infection noted specifically for a foul smell. Probably should push up your ob-gyn appointment and see if they will check for it. Both partners should be treated, if that is what it is.
One day, I woke up and did some exercise, had a nice breakfast with my husband, and chilled on the couch afterwards, playing a game of solitaire on my iPad. Out of the blue, I suddenly: - felt like I was losing consciousness, - my eyesight went blurry, I had difficulty focusing, - my heart started pounding, - I felt like I wasn't getting enough oxygen, - my muscles started trembling, - I went cold, then had whole body shivering, with - nausea and - diarrhea.
i'm going to buy some cream for yeast infections tomorrow and try rubbing it down and see if it does me any good. the yeast infection symptoms sure sound a whole lot closer to home than the urinary infection or herpes diagnoses.
My husband thinks I should go to the doctor and check for mold infection, but don't want to waste my time if someone knows something better.
You know, yesterday was the first day that I had a hot flash. Lasted about 10 minutes but really slowed me down for the rest of the day. Weird! Anyone else experience this after iui?
However, it is getting to the point that, for this particular infection, its time may be reaching an end. Not yet maybe. But pretty darn close we are, uh huh.
