1182479 tn?1273372414 If you have an infection at an injection site is more than likely an abscess. You need antibiotics now. do not wait until tomorrow. The reason for NOT waiting is two-fold. First , the longer you wait the worse the infection which increases the chance for more tissue damage. secondly, the infection is going to set up for a flare-up. See somebody TODAY, I'm sure if you call your PCP tey will se you on an emergent basis. Please keep us informed.
Avatar m tn Is it possible to get an infection( std or other) at injection site from handjob at massage parlor?
1564991 tn?1307630809 Im not super worried about it because there arent any signs of infection, no bruising, no anything really except that i can feel the knot under the skin. If it wasnt so large I likely wouldnt have noticed it at all. I guess I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else? If its something that I can expect to happen regularly?
Avatar f tn I was using copaxone I did have a itch at the injection site and a lump that lasted for days sometimes weeks. Blistering I never experienced.
1216595 tn?1284933208 I have about a 2" red spot after almost every injection. Some of them were kind of sore, but most didn't hurt. Hopefully things will smoothe out for you a little as time goes on, it has for me.
1752948 tn?1466354161 It is possible you have a skin infection at the injection site and need maybe just even a little topical antibiotic or you could need more. Don't let it get any bigger.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone else has lingering red/bruise marks at the injection site. I have taken 6 shots so far and still have a red bruise mark at injection site after six weeks. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if this is typical. Could someone please help me out here. Kinda nervious about giving the shot tonight.
Avatar f tn Hey so my injection site is extremely bruised and it worries me its almost a dark purple.. Has anyone expire mixed this? My other shots were unusual as well but I have sensitive skin but they were read and like the size of 2 quarters. Itchy and just a large lump.
Avatar m tn Does the skin swell up after injection like in the case of bug/mosquito bites?

Avatar n tn re taking multiple injections a day, a normal size human *will* wear out that area. Just think about it as 365 days a year * number of shots per day * number of years you have/will have diabetes. That number gets huge for spreading around a relatively modest surface area. When we wear out a site, our absorption will suffer and we may get "indentations" or large "bumps" in the over-used spots.
Avatar m tn it has never healed the injection site. it is about the size of a dime. does not hurt at all, but am concerned about it.
2065676 tn?1331422440 at first i had red spots from the injection site. then about at 6 weeks i never got a red spot again. i guess my thighs got used to the interferon. drink a lot of water. it really helps with sx. good luck.
Avatar m tn I do my shots on my stomach and after 23 of them, I have all kinds of funny looking spots. I tried my thigh a couple of times but it hurts more than the stomach. Wait till you hit a capillary. I've gotten some huge bruises so there is a nice variety in the colors of my stomach. I think there isn't anything to be concerned about unless you show signs of infection at the injection site... hot, swollen, seepage....
Avatar n tn That was five days ago and I am still not feeling good. My jaw hurts at the injection site where the pain radiated to the cheek. For three or four days, I was extremely fatigued to the point where I only wanted to sleep, etc. My question is if the dentist could have given me too much anesthetia.
Avatar f tn I'm at week 16 of 48, and each time I do an injection, the rash is worse (takes about a week to surface). Especially on my legs, where blistering occurs and stays for weeks. Yes I am rotating sites and always have. My doctor didn't give me much response when I emailed him about it and said maybe I should see a skin specialist. Is this normal? I have a long way to go.
1748949 tn?1318287437 i did my wk 14 shot last night and as i was injecting the fon rang and it startled me and i guess i pulled the needle out just a bit and it was going UNDER my skin and so i stopped and reinjected the remander or the shot but I had a lump at thefirst injection site and i was wondering if even after rubbing the site if the medicatin will do what its suppose to since i messed up a bit. VERY concerned. I want this treatment to work and hope it will be ok.
