Avatar f tn Since medical underwriting is allowed in ND, someone who is undergoing treatment for a pre-existing condition or a potentially related condition, is likely be declined for traditional private individual insurance. However the formal declination letter is what you need to apply for a plan through Comprehensive Health Association of North Dakota (CHAND). CHAND provides coverage to individuals who were declined individual coverage due to pre-existing health issues.
1063764 tn?1272821064 I'm a 23 year old female without medical insurance. I need to see two different specialists, one of them a few times a year. But because I don't have insurance I can't afford to anymore. I have not been able to find an individual health care plan for myself that I can afford. I currently don't have a job, but as soon as I am employed medical insurance is one of the things I'll be getting. Can anyone guide me in a direction so I can find some health care plans that suit me?
Avatar n tn It is very rewarding, but I am having a great deal of trouble getting insurance. I wanted to get an individual policy, high deductible, with the physicians we use in the network. The problem is that I have a benign arrthymia known as PACs (premature atrial contractions). I have been assured by my internist and cariologist that there is no problem, and no treatment is required.
927707 tn?1244133034 I live in New Jersey and my husband and I need affordable health insurance. He owns his own business and we are paying close to $900 dollars a month for doctor visits, hospital, prescriptions, laboratory, diagnostics etc. We currently have United Health Care/ Oxford. We did have Cobra when I left my job, but that was too expensive $1300.00/ month. With our Cobra we didn't need referrals, but with Oxford we need referrals. Our copay is $30.00 for doctor visits and $50.00 for specialist.

One article even states that reading glasses are mandatory for satisfactory intermediate vision with an aspheric IOL. " I realize that this was over 3 years ago and things change,... hairstyles change, and even opinions change. Do you know if this is still true with today's Aspheric IOL's? Thanks!!

Avatar m tn IOL (like ReStor) and laser vision correction are generally not covered by insurance/Medicare, and they can be profitable for the surgeon. So if your cost is your primary concern, then get aspheric monofocal IOLs, which are fully covered by your Medicare. (Some people, including me, believe that they provide the best vision.
