So, I've been having some annoying pain in my right ring finger on the under side. I want to say it feels like a really bad paper cut or being poked with a ton of little needles. I don't know if I did anything to it, it tends to hurt more with use, but only on the underside.

On my left hand, my index finger is longer than my middle finger, my ring finger is shorter than my middle finger. On my left had, my middle finger is shorter than both other fingers (ring & middle). It's nver caused any problems but I've always wondered why my Mom & I had it.

I am 23 year old female and have enchondroma on my left hand index finger. Should i get it operated? What diffrence will i feel after it has been operated.

My right index finger has been swollen for a month now. the knuckle is painful to the touch, but i'm able to bend it. Any ideas what it could be?? Thanks for any help!

I took a puck off of my right index finger and didn't really notice any immediate pain. Over the next couple days I noticed that I couldn't form a fist because my finger was very swollen and hurt to bend that far. Upon further observation I noticed that my first finger knuckle had become very wide, but the rest of my finger remained regular size. It is also very sensitive to touch.

hi , for the the last year i have been in PT for a shoulder injury and an a RSI to my shoulder blade for wt my doc thinks was caused by over compensating for my injuied shoulder. To make a long story short the muscle spasms in my shoulder blade area have been getting worse and it feels sore most of the time but for a few months now i have been having some pain under my last rib on the right side, its just a dull ache and it only hurts every now and then when i push on it.

I don't know about the arm pain but the finger sounds like you could have a 'trigger' finger (otherwise known as stenosing tenosynovitis). It usually results from repeititive movement rather than any nerve involvement. It happens when the tendon, or the sheath it passes through as the fingers move, gets inflammed and then 'sticks' as it passes through the sheath. It can be very painful. I've had many a steroid shot to coax these back into a calm state.

I have been doing some research on Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and think this may be it as I am an avid weightlifter and also work a desk job. However, I also notice that i get fatigued in the legs when running very fast now. When I do calf raises, I also get virtually no "pump" or sensation. Same thing with bench press...very little pump/feeling. Could RSI in my upper body cause this in my lower body too?

A few days ago I clicked my mouse and my middle finger felt like it had a cramp of some sort, I thought of it as normal and tried to click my finger. It just wouldn't work no matter how hard I tried to click it back to normal. I could feel the click there but it just wasn't happening. It's been like this for the last few days now. The cramp went after about 15 minutes, but that constant need to click it has been there ever since.

Back in March I was holding a little girl that was standing on my lap and she lost her balance and squatted down. My hand was behind her knee and my right index finger popped and then hurt really bad for awhile. I assumed it would go away and it didn't. A few days later I went to urgent care. They took x-rays and saw nothing and told me to take ibuprofen and continue to use it like normal.

I am a 56 years old female and in relatively good health. I take one medication for hbp. Recently the middle joints of my little fingers are very tender, red and tend to be very itchy, if that makes any sense and I've also begun noticing some tiny red nodules at the first joint of my index fingers and little fingers. Some times the nodules are a little more pronouced than other times.

After the voting I realized that my index finger has the lilltle thingy ( like skin peel off ur index finger and present a small cut). Because my finger already cover with the ink I cannot see clearly if the cut already formed the scab to protect the open and m not sure when did I get that.

My index finger has chronic pain when it is exposed to cold temps. or if my circulation is lessened in that arm. It's just that finger and only at the finger nail, cuticle area. The feeling is similar to getting it smashed into something. Also, when no pain is present, if I hit it ever so slightly on something, it might as well have been smashed in a door, the feeling would be the same!

I feel it is also finger specific, especially all my fingers other than my thumb and pinkie all of which I use to move the cursor. I am afraid I may have carpal tunnel. Please do suggest what to do now.

I cut the knuckle of my R index finger on a deli/meat slicer 2 days ago, The ER dr said I had a layer of fat over the muscle left over the bone & that was it. I got 12 stitches. The dr didn't think I cut the tendon b/c I could move my index finger although I had a lot of pain. He diagnosed it as a AVULSION INJURY.

During foreplay with my partner, I used my middle finger to stimulate my partner but am worried that with my index finger in close proximity to the vagina, a pregnancy is possible? If a finger that came into contact (actually touched vs grazed) with the wet spot on my jeans cause a pregnancy after stimulating my partner?
