Right now I am having neck pain, with pain radiating in my shoulder blades and shoulders radiating down into my hands with my right hand been really painful especially in the thumb, index finger and middle finger. Shooting pains all the time. I wake up in the night with the pain and when I lie down I get numbness in both hands. Any advice........ Here is what my MRI showed now: At C5-6 There is susceptibility artifact from the indwelling hardware.

I am 1 month post op c5-7 fusion..no change in index finger pain and swelling..how long before I might notice a change? is there any other treatment available? what type of MD should I seek for further treatment?

i had c4 to c7 fused in more pain now also then before surgery,both arms in pain,left index finger and thumb numb since surgery neck in extreme pain,now i cant swallow right like something is in the way,think my rods are moving in me all tests come out negatice.i dont know what they do? to your hand he said again that it is from doing repetive motion with my hands all day. In my index finger on my left hand I have a knot where the finger attaches to my hand. The doctor said this is a very tight tendon that can come and go. Maybe that is all yours is and it is swelling and cutting off the circulation causing it to go numb. I have a friend who had wrist surgery I think she had that fusion. It was recent though. Has your surgery been long ago?

I took a puck off of my right index finger and didn't really notice any immediate pain. Over the next couple days I noticed that I couldn't form a fist because my finger was very swollen and hurt to bend that far.
