1080032 tn?1326414386 After pumping can I leave my breast milk sitting out if my daughter will be eating 2hrs later? I don't have a bottle Warner so I would hate to put it in the fridge.
1205562 tn?1554747006 I recently heard that drinking one dark beer a day can really help increase your milk supply because of the yeast in the beer. I was skeptical so I researched it a little. And turns out, that yes, it's true!! Beer is second to napping for increasing milk supply!!! So for those of you who like a dark beer... drink up!! :-) My friend has twins and all the nurses told her to drink a beer every day for increased milk supply. Just a bit of information that I thought I'd share.
Avatar f tn After completing the hand job she told that small quantity of milk will come from her breast rarely. I did not taste milk in my mouth. She said she is having a 4 year kid. I got scared. I washed my mouth and used listerine mouth wash. I don't know about her status. No intercourse no oral sex nothing. Whether I need to test for HIV.

Avatar f tn t the right forum but I feel more comfortable asking questions here...I had my daughter on the 9th and at first I had a really good milk supply where my breast would become engorged every two hours if I didn't pump or feed regularly....and I was pumping 2/3 ounces from each breast every time.....now I can hardly get an half an ounce :(....I try to have my daughter on my breast every two hours but it seems like she gets so irritated because nothing is coming out....
Avatar n tn I have not thought about milk will increase the sugar level. Of course I have changed the diet. I have included few fruits, vegetables and protein foods which I have not included earlier. I fear milk increasing my sugar. But due to few options I have can't think to stop it. Probably I have to reduce the quantity. Please share others too.
Avatar f tn Know after breastfeeding constantly your baby will start increasing your milk to his/her needs.
Avatar f tn So im kinda stuck in my ways. I would love for my baby to have my breast milk....but I dont like the idea of my nipples being chomped on. My other daughter was extremely lactose and tolerant so she wouldn't breast feed once the milk came in. But I remember that it did hurt when she did try. Is it wrong that I want to pump the milk and bottle feed? Any other moms out there that has done this?
Avatar f tn It's not recommended that you express breast milk regularly before delivering baby. If I were you I'd be questioning my midwife. Expressing breast milk can put you into preterm labor as it releases oxytocin which causes uterine contractions. Also it can make it so you don't develop a good supply after baby is born.
Avatar n tn I have been seeing recipes and pre made cookies at baby stores and read a lot about them increasing milk supply. I had a lot of postpartum issues with my first daughter and gave up trying to breastfeed the first time around. I am 32.5 weeks pregnant with a son and really want to build a strong supply. Has anyone tried these with success?
Avatar f tn Put her to the breast more often. What makes you think you aren't making enough?
Avatar f tn I am a 66 year old female who has been under the care of the same family doctor for the last 10 years. After recovering from breast cancer, I was prescribed a series of medications to treat depression and anxiety. I was put on Zoloft at first and then switched a few years ago to 40mg of Paxil along with 25mg of Xanax daily. I still feel anxiety and depression, however, and am afraid these drugs no longer work or that I have become immune to their effects.
Avatar f tn Malt is great for increasing breast milk perhaps that's what it is. I drink a malt-based drink (Ovaltine) which I love (regardless of that fact) but also fenchel and anise teas are very good. Not only do they increase your supply (drink 3-4 cups a day) but help when the baby has gas.
4545793 tn?1394592544 / I want to be able to store breast milk for just incase stuff and to be able to breast feed until he is at least teething idk if I could breast feed when he has teeth bc right now he is randomly pulling away on my nipple and when he does that he pulls ny nipple also lol
Avatar m tn This is due to many factors, including the quantity of breast milk and the underdeveloped immune system of babies. For adults breast-milk HIV transmission remains only a hypothetical risk. That risk would be dependent on the amount of virus in the infected milk, quantity ingested, presence of cuts or sores on the oral mucous membranes, etc. Overall the risk of an adult contracting HIV from nipple sucking would be EXTREMELY low. you also stated the woman's breasts were dry.
