424839 tn?1268186246 s important not to grow conceited in victory or become disheartened in defeat. Those who keep pressing onward toward a goal with tireless patience and persistence win in the end.. In life, we should not be totally absorbed with only immediate realities. We must have ideals and strive to achieve them, transcending present realities. On the other hand we should not allow ourselves to become alienated from reality. We can change nothing unless our feet are planted firmly on the ground..
424839 tn?1268186246 Every single act and thought plays a role in shaping our existence, in both life and death. The law of causality permeates and molds the great eternal flow of cosmic life. What, then, are the practical implications of this philosophy? How should it affect our conduct and our outlook? In the first place it provides us with the courage to challenge both life and death.
6708370 tn?1471490210 I am so sorry for all you're going through. :( I have to agree with you though, I'm not into the quotes, either. I don't read them. There's is no interest in them to me. That and most of the jokes. I do laugh when i hear something that I think is funny, but to sick and read joke after joke, it's just not something that I want to take the time of my 'computer-time' to be doing.
Avatar f tn as I know alot of my MH friends are as well... I thought it would be cool to get some of our favorite quotes in one place.... So, here's my first favorite and I'm sure I will post others later.... Can't wait to see yours as well... " If you can't convince them, confuse them!" -HARRY S.
Avatar f tn Yay JD!!! Congratulations! Next stop.....SVR!!!
Avatar f tn I am in Rochester NY searching for Neuro for my daughter that has MS. She is currently being treated by Dr. Robb from the URMC me clinic. She is horrible. Can anyone give me any advice?
Avatar m tn This may sound very strange, but for the second time in 2 years my pac's and afib episodes have gone away while I was taking an antibiotic. Two years ago I was on Erythromycin and as I recall I did not have an episode for a whole month. I should add that time I was getting weekly episodes of afib that lasted about 24 - 30 hours. At the end of last month I went on Cephalexin for 10 days and again the episodes virtually disappeared.
Avatar f tn I was in sinus rhythm for 3 days after my ablation, and began walking on the treadmill on the 4th day. That afternoon I began feeling out of sync heart beats and my heart rate was irregular. I've been in and out ever since. My BP runs low, 85/60 into the 50's. When my heart rate jumping into the high 80s or 90's, and my chest pounds, I get so upset worrying that the ablation hasn't cured my atrial flutter. My heart issues are from chemo from breast cancer in 2006.
Avatar f tn Hi there, My husband, age 57 and in otherwise great health, was diagnosed and had surgery for colon cancer. The diagnosis was stage IV colon cancer, as the mucinous carcinoid tumor had spread to his retroperitoneum. The prognosis is not good (ie., the doctors said that without doubt, this is a terminal disease with survival marked at 3-6 months). But I have been reading of survivors - some living beyond the magic five year milestone! What is the exact prognosis of this?
424839 tn?1268186246 My question is about these quotes I have been posting I would like to know if I posted some on religon would that offend anyone being that must would be refferancing Buddhsium but when you read the quotes the can be transfered into anyones faith so I would like to know if people would be offended thanks.
314833 tn?1263259499 I just read Nora Robert's newest "Vision in White" It's hilarious and it's serious and just a fun read. Now I am reading her Alter ego JD Robb "salvation in death". I love writers that give me a new family. Same characters from book to book. I read all of Clive Cussler...Matthew Reilly....Jack DuBrul...Lincoln and Child. I could go on and on... I love to escape from real life and all of its current problems.
173975 tn?1216257775 I too am approaching my 1 yr and hope to follow in your footsteps. My yr is up in the end of May. It really amazes me how quickly time goes now and how much easier life is compared to the walking death feeling struggling one day at a time and not even being able to see that there was an end approaching slowly and painfully. Happy Easter! TGIF! Enjoy living!!
53186 tn?1225749549 jd & ny - sorry about your friend. THere is only so much others can do when someone won't help themselves. We had a call a couple of weeks ago from a frined who had a liver transplant and kept drinking. He actually sounded good and we are planning a trip to see him. I hope he has straightened up. mike - still I have a warm place for those with hpe C and wish I could designate it to someone who already has hep C.
Avatar n tn What about if you sew her information on her tags in her clothes? Sounds time consuming but it would be there and you would have piece of mind. Or what if you make a big deal about a pretty bracelet she could wear. Do you wear jewelry? Maybe you could both get one and she would like to be like mommy or daddy and wear a matching bracelet. My kids like to do anything I am doing especially my daughter who is three. Also-go to www.jdrf.
1839060 tn?1354713405 It seems to vary widely. The heart itself may take months to heal and settle down rhythm-wise. As far as the general physical side of it, I was feeling pretty normal within a week. I've had 3 ablations and each time I felt a bit different but it seemed to be related to how long they were in my heart. The second time took almost 7 hours so I felt kind of tired for a week. The 3rd time only took a couple of hours so I was ready to go in no time at all.
Avatar f tn It seemed to take forever, but finally the phone rang. SVR for meeeeeeeeeee!!!!! I'm putting on those red red shoes. Let the happy dance begin! Rootbeers for the house. I am so grateful to one and all, I could never have made it without you wonderful people and this forum. A toast to the MedHelp heppers. Thank you all from the bottom of my virus-free heart!
Avatar m tn I'm an old member of this board but haven't posted in a while. Long story short, I had an ablation last Oct for my paroxysmal Afib that has not been successful, although the frequency of my episodes has been reduced. I am looking at another ablation, probably later this year if a new med (Norpace) doesn't help. One thing that I was thinking about trying is seeing a neurologist. My Afib episodes are triggered by my vagus nerve almost every time.
Avatar m tn I have been seeing quotes from others and writing quotes, and others in detox are requesting more. I know in my darkest hours that I chanted, "There is no problem so big that drugs can't make it worse." What has helped or is helping you? God, Grant me the serenity to Accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.
Avatar m tn I have a very sensitive vagus nerve, aka high vagal tone. Symptoms are bradycardia, low body temperature, low BP, hoarseness and most annoying, vagally triggered atrial fibrillation. I have had an ablation and am still waiting for the final outcome (when the healing is complete). My afib episodes are almost always the result of eating something spicy or drinking something cold, or contraction of my abdominal muscles like when lifting weights.
1512574 tn?1342608485 I use Jay Robb Protein Powder that I get at GNC. It is mostly used to make a protein shake. It is also used in P2 of the HCG Diet and can be used to make some receipes.
460591 tn?1207150799 Whether the Bible is your thing, or just random fortunes out of fortune cookies...or anything in between. I feel like words that you can twist and make fit to your life are always encouraging. I have the Tao Te Ching by Stephen Mitchell. I think it is only translated by him, though. I use this as some people use little calendar messages. They are just nice things to read and put a smile on your face. Things to remember throughout your day.
541150 tn?1306033843 "In the beginning, God created man, but seeing him so feeble, He gave him the cat." - Warren Eckstein "A home without a cat- and a well-fed, well-petted and properly revered cat- may be a perfect home, perhaps, but how can it prove title?" - Pudd'nhead Wilson "A cat is more intelligent than people believe, and can be taught any crime." -Mark Twain Notebook, 1895 "Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the leash.
